It was still dark as Snowy Owl and Shooting Star climbed the path to the Star Temple. The night before here in the North Country it had snowed heavily even though the change of seasons from winter to spring was only nine sunrises away. It was also very cold as the wind gusts swirled around the sisters. But Sister Moon was high in the southwest sky and her almost full face lit the path with silver blue shadows. In spite of the cold it was a magical night.
Half way up the path Shooting Star looked directly north. The Starry One called the path finder was shining brightly and pointing to the Great She Bear. She was lying on her back in the middle of the sky. It was not yet time for her to walk the northern horizon. That would happen when the greening time returned to the North Country. Shooting Star knew that would happen when the spring time returned. For now they were still in the Big Winds Time her in the north. This ceremony was in celebration of the last Full Moon of winter.
When the sisters settled in the Star Temple Sister Moon was now in the west. She spoke gently “Bear is an important guide at this Full Moon. I am happy that Shooting Star felt the presence of the Great She Bear. She is a symbol for quiet strength and honouring the sacredness of life. Bear is the healer and in the far away time that is what is needed. Healing the mind, body, and heart. Cougar, spiritual strength and power, is also guiding humanity at this time and Wolf, the teacher who guides you through change is as well. They are both walking with Grandfather Sun at this Full Moon. This is a Moon for healing and completion to prepare space for the new beginnings that will be initiated at the next New Moon. Now more than ever the Rainbow Bridge of healing is available for all to cross into Wholeness. All you have to do is take the first step.”
As Sister Moon slipped below the western horizon a light rain began to fall. The air had warmed enough for rain instead of snow. Then when Grandfather Sun rose in the east his rays shone through the raindrops and a beautiful rainbow appeared. The Rainbow Bridge of Healing and Universal blessings was real.
In the Northern Hemisphere the Animal Totem for Virgo is Brown Bear, introspection and healing, and for Pisces the Animal Totems are Cougar, spiritual power, and Wolf, the teacher who guides us through change. In the Southern Hemisphere they are reversed. Cougar and Wolf relate to Virgo and Brown Bear to Pisces. One of the beauties of a Full Moon we have support from all these Totems wherever we are. The theme of this Full Moon is introspection, healing, forgiveness, completion, and release.
The planetary rulers of the Virgo Moon (wherever you are) are Mercury at 27 degrees Pisces (our intuitive thoughts) and Chiron at 24 degrees Pisces (healing ourselves and the world wound). Pallas Athene at 23 degrees Pisces (spiritual wisdom) is travelling with the Sun at 22 degrees Pisces (spiritual self). So we have a strong Pisces influence (The Oneness of All) through the Moon’s planetary guides. And Neptune at 12 degrees Pisces (illusion or illumination) rules the Sun and the other planetary energies in Pisces. Neptune asks us to break through deception and embrace Divine Truth.
All this Virgo (the Earth, how we ground ourselves on the planet, is travelling with the Moon at 22 degrees Virgo) and Pisces energy (with the exception of Neptune) is square (finding new ways of doing things) Saturn at 27 degrees Sagittarius (spiritual foundation or limited and restricted thinking). This is a T Square and the stress is on Saturn. Are you limiting and restricting your path to healing? But the mid-point (balance) between the Sun and Moon is 22 degrees Gemini (healing duality). So there is always a way out of any dilemma if we are just willing to “see”.
We are also still dealing with the Cardinal Grand Cross, breaking out of whatever box we are stuck in. Uranus at 22 degrees Aries (breaking through to the authentic self) and Eris at 22 degrees Aries (chaos or purposeful action) opposite Jupiter Rx at 21 degrees Libra (harmony and balance in our relating). Oppositions help us see where we need to find balance. This opposition is square (motivation for change) Vesta at 20 degrees Cancer (commitment to our spiritual path) and Pluto at 19 degrees Capricorn (transformation of society). This Grand Cross has been with us since Jan 2017 and will still be active until mid-April. But why wait till then. Break free now.
The Clan Mother who guides us for the Moon in Virgo (either hemisphere) is Setting Sun Woman. She teaches us How to Live the Truth. For Pisces it is Weighs The Truth. She teaches us How to Accept the Truth. You can find their stories in The 13 Original Clan Mothers and Earth Medicine both by Jamie Sams.
The Tarot Constellation for Virgo and Pisces is The Hermit, introspection and personal integrity. Its theme is journeying within to discover our inner Universe and our connection to Source. The Rays these signs are active on are 6th Ray of Idealism and Devotion with Archangels Uriel, peace and harmony, and Aurora Grace, love and balance. Also they are found on the 2nd Ray of Divine Love and Wisdom with Archangels Jophiel, creative power and Divine Vision, and Constance Christine, illumination. Gemini is also 2nd Ray and that is the mid-point between the Sun and Moon at this Lunation.
As always the Universe and Great Mystery support us on our life path. All the resources you need are available to you. All you need to do is ask.
Full Moon blessings,
ॐ Namasté - Blessings!
