2019 The Tarot Constellation of The Empress
The Year of Love, Creative Imagination, and Personal Empowerment

As 2018 comes to a close we may all be very happy to say goodbye. It has been a very challenging year with retrograde after retrograde planet asking us to redefine and revision our lives. But it was the year of The High Priestess asking us to make balanced choices through intuitive awareness. It was Master Number 11. Pythagoras, Greek philosopher and mathematician, stated “Eleven is the number of a cycle of new beginnings”. The planets and sign that were guiding us through The High Priestess were Pluto (healing, transformation, re-birth) Libra (inner harmony and balance) and The Moon (intuitive knowing and Soul Wisdom).

2019 is a 12/3 year, The Empress. The planets that guide us are Venus (self-love and creative expression) Neptune (illusion or illumination) and Saturn (society and the world). We can say Saturn is the hidden factor as he is the number 21 in The Empress Constellation and is behind the scene this year. Saturn will be in Capricorn all year and spiritually supporting us to live our Sacred Purpose. But he is also the planet of limitation, restriction, blocks and delays if we are only focused on the physical/material world. The Sacred Totem for Saturn, especially in Capricorn, is The Unicorn. This mystical creature only makes itself known to those who believe in magic.

Our imagination is our magical power to see into the unseen world.  Neptune is symbolic of the creative imagination. He is the 12th card in The Tarot, The Hanged Man. Most older Tarot decks show a man hanging upside down with his leg draped around a tree branch and a smile on his face. He is content to live in no man’s land. He is content to live the illusion. Neptune will be in Pisces all year giving us all the motivation to step into our ability to manifest our greatest imaginings and free ourselves. In Jan, June, and Nov, Saturn in Capricorn (Sacred Purpose) will sextile (easy opportunities) Neptune in Pisces (mystical connections).

But as we know the Universe always likes to throw us a curve ball to see if we are awake and aware. Neptune in Pisces (illusion or enlightened awareness) will square (motivation for change) Jupiter in Sagittarius (dogmatic thinking or Spiritual Consciousness) three times in 2019. The dates for the exact squares are Jan 13, June 16, and Sept 21. This is a Fourth Quarter Square of revisioning and realigning our true beliefs and compassionate understanding for the Oneness of All. That is the highest expression of this square. We will just have to see how this effects world affairs. Hopefully there will be some breakthroughs to a more compassionate and loving consciousness.

Venus is in Scorpio as she enters 2019. She first entered Scorpio on Sept 09, 2018 and was retrograde Oct 05 to Nov 16 therefore her long visit to the sign of deep healing, transformation, and releasing what no longer is of value or importance. She is asking us at the gateway to the New Year to continue to release what we do not want to take into 2019. On Jan 07 Venus enters Sagittarius until Feb 03/04. While she visits Sagittarius she is guided by Jupiter. Together they ask us to focus on the growth and expansion of our life vision. The Sacred Totem for Venus is The Dove, peace and Love. As she stands at the threshold of the New Year the Phoenix, resurrection and re-birth, is her guide and ours.

Of course we cannot forget about Mars. On this New Year’s Eve he has just entered Aries at 9.20 pm EST. He will be visiting Aries until Feb 14. He is the natural ruler of Aries so he is very strong. In his home sign he can be impulsive and aggressive. He does not like authority and can be combative especially the week of Jan 21 to Feb 01 when he first squares Saturn in Capricorn (society and authority) and Pluto in Capricorn (issues of power). Do not let that be your focus. Instead use the motivation of Mars to create inspired new beginnings. Falcon, clear vision, is our Animal Totem guide.

January is a busy month. Mercury enters Capricorn Jan 04/05. We have a Capricorn Solar Eclipse on Jan 05/06. Uranus moves direct in Aries on Jan 06/07. Neptune squares Jupiter on Jan 13. We have a Leo Lunar Eclipse on Jan 20/21. And on Jan 31 Saturn sextiles Neptune. We will write more in the next few days.

New Year blessings to all,

Namaste,

Dale
