The night air was crisp and the indigo sky was clear of Cloud People as the sisters climbed the path to the Star Temple. They were guided by a very bright Wanderer who shone high in the west direction, the place of personal responsibility and empowerment. Shooting Star and Snowy Owl were anxious to reach the Sacred Space and receive the messages that Sister Moon and The Starry Ones had to share on this winter night.
Evening Star was the first to speak. “I am here to remind you the most important relationship at this time, and especially in the far away time, is the one to self. When you are living your truth with kindness and love you are walking lightly on the Earth Mother, Gaia, and she can feel your love for her”. Evening Star continued “When I appear in the west direction it is to awaken you to the At-Oneness-Within and your gift of healing to your world. The next four Moon cycles that will continue to be my message.” When the message was received Evening Star disappeared below the western horizon.
The next Wanderer to speak was also a bright white light in the west. “My ancient name is Marduk, ruler of the gods and goddesses. As time has evolved I have become a gentle giant. I am now known as the wish planet and I bestow luck and blessings for you on your life journey. I offer you the gifts of expansion, growth, and help you to manifest your Spiritual Vision and Soul Purpose. Ask and it is given but be careful that what you are asking is what you really want. I will fulfill all requests, positive or not. ” The giant Wanderer fell silent once his message had been spoken.
Then Sister Moon in all her magnificent fullness spoke. “I offer you the gift of Mastery through Change. In the far away time the two-leggeds are seeing me as you see me but they have forgotten how to listen. It is time for each member of the human kingdom to awaken to their Spiritual Destiny and Soul Purpose. That is the message Grandfather Sun and I share tonight. As he illuminates my full light we ask that each two-legged step onto the Mystical Path to Enlightenment.”
Shooting Star and Snowy Owl stayed in the Star Temple for the remainder of the night under the silver rays of Sister Moon. As always they felt blessed by the beauty and magnificence of the world they lived in. They would continue to give their gifts of healing knowing the Earth Mother depended on them to help the two-leggeds awaken in the far away time to their true purpose. To be protectors for the most precious Wanderer in the universe.
The word planet means Wanderer. To the ancients the planets were seen as wandering the night sky as they travelled against the backdrop of the fixed stars. When I was a little girl we spent our summers in the Laurentian Mountains north of Montreal and I was always fascinated by Venus when she was Evening Star. What I did not know consciously is that my natal Venus is a late Evening Star. I used to recite upon seeing her “star light; star bright, first star I see tonight, wish I may, wish I might, have the wish I wish tonight.” I am praying for clear skies tonight so I can make a wish to Venus, Jupiter, and the Cancer Full Moon.
As little ones we are very attuned to the natural world but as we grow most of us disconnect and are influenced by the material plane. We lose the sense of magical connection. This Full Moon in Cancer is the opportunity to rediscover the magical child within. The sign of Cancer is a symbol for our roots, our family of origin, our current family, the nurturing parent and our deepest emotions. But it is also the sign of the Great Universal Mother who nurtures the magical child within and supports us to step onto the Mystical Path. That is the doorway this Full Moon in Cancer is opening.
The rulers for this Cancer Moon are first the Moon as she is in her home sign. That is the emotional part. Many people are experiencing breakdowns in relationships at this time so this Full Moon will exaggerate those issues. But the Moon is also a symbol for our Soul Path. The spiritual ruler is Jupiter in Taurus. That is the doorway to step onto the Mystical Path that supports your spiritual vision to manifest in the physical. The Soul Centered ruler is Neptune, illusion or enlightenment. He is at 29 degrees Aquarius, the collective consciousness, at this lunation and asking all two-leggeds to choose enlightenment.
The ruler for the Sun in Capricorn is Saturn at 28 degrees Libra. He is in a wide square with the Sun and Moon and is activating the need to find new ways of doing things in relationship and our place in the world. Fortunately he is also trine Neptune. If we choose to be enlightened all limitation and restriction that Saturn challenges us with will dissolve. Neptune is called the Great Dissolver.
The Animal Totem for the Moon in Cancer is Flicker, of the Woodpecker family. It is a symbol of transition that allows new rhythms and new beginnings to manifest in our lives. Flicker’s drumming connects us to the heart beat of the Earth Mother. The Animal Totem for the Sun in Capricorn is Snow Goose. The message is let your spirit soar as you follow your dreams.
The Clan Mother for the Cancer Moon is Loves All Things. She teaches to love the truth in all things. She is the guardian of unconditional love and nurturing compassion that comes from the Universal Mother. Loves All things teaches us to love ourselves and free the Magical Child within. She carries the wisdom of allowing. The Clan Mother for the Sun in Capricorn is Talks With Relations. She is the guardian of learning the truth and honouring the kinship with all life. She is the keeper of right relationship with Creator and Great Mystery, the self, and our spiritual essence. Cancer is found on the Tarot Constellation of The Chariot, the theme of mastery through change and stepping onto the mystical path. It is about mastering the emotions so we are free to pursue our spiritual destiny. We have also been told 2012 is the year of great change so how appropriate the first Full Moon of the year offers us the opportunity to master our fears.
The Sun in Capricorn is active on the Tarot Constellation of The Lovers, the principle of relationship and choice. Gemini is also on that constellation and activates the theme of the urge to unite, the choice to love, and ourselves in relation to others. Capricorn activates the theme of the urge to separate, the choice to fear, ourselves in relation to the world. As we have mentioned in the Moon phases the sacred animal for Capricorn is The Unicorn who only shows itself to those who are heart centered. The Sun in Capricorn is asking you to choose Love.
The Rays that this Cancer/Capricorn Full Moon activates are the 7th Ray of Ceremonial Order and White Magic, with Archangels Zadkiel, Invocation and ascension into higher consciousness, and Amethyst, transformation and freedom. They both carry the vibration of the Violet Flame of Transmutation. The next is the 3rd Ray of Divine Mind and Active Intelligence with Archangels Chamuel, healing through Divine Love, and Grace, gratitude and generosity. Finally the Sun in Capricorn activates the 1st Ray of Divine Will and Power with Archangels Michael, protection and spiritual destiny guide, and Faith, love and trust in self as our guides.

Use the magnetic healing vibration to release past hurts and trauma, especially as they relate to family of origin patterns. Always remember your biological family is not necessarily your spiritual family. Let the Clan Mothers of this lunation guide you as you release emotional issues that limit and restrict you. Loves All Things for the Moon in Cancer and Talks With Relations for the Sun in Capricorn are wanting you to recognize the Oneness Within The Self. All else will be in alignment when you are connected to your Sacred Center and your Compassionate Heart. Mercury in Capricorn sextile Chiron in Pisces- 4.13pm EST- The planet of the mind is reminding you when you choose to heal magical things happen. The sacred animal for Capricorn is the Unicorn and in our story last time Chiron, The Wounded Healer, became the Unicorn. This mystical Totem only shows itself to those who are heart centered. Choose love and magic will manifest.
Virgo Disseminating Moon- Jan 12- 5.05pm EST to Jan 16- 4.09am EST- This is the phase to share your knowledge and Wisdom. Sometimes Virgo hesitates because of the need for perfection. When the Moon is in Virgo she is in her Soul Centered home. Share from your heart and all will be Divinely Perfect. Sun in Capricorn trine Mars in Virgo- 11.46pm EST- This is an opportunity to experience healing and harmony with the Yang energy in your life (those who are assertive in actions). Work with this aspect to heal and release resentment. It serves no purpose except to keep you stuck in old patterns.
Venus in Aquarius trine Saturn in Libra- Jan 13- 4.05am EST- Saturn has been very quiet lately not really participating in the planetary dance. Use this aspect to accept personal responsibility for the dynamics in your important relationships. Many relationships have been falling apart since last November. Aquarius asks us to let go with love. Mercury conjoins Pluto in Capricorn- 8.03am EST- This meeting gives you the power to transform your thoughts and perceptions so what you really want to create has room to manifest. Venus conjoins Neptune in Aquarius- 10.17am EST- The planet of emotional love meets the planet of Divine Love. This could be a very uplifting influence today. Venus enters Pisces- Jan 14- 12.47am EST- The planet of self worth and love will be in the sign of the Oneness Of All until Feb 08. She is exalted in Pisces so the theme of illusion or illumination that was activated yesterday continues until then. Neptune rules this Venus journey and he enters his own sign of Pisces on Feb 03. The questions to ask are; what is true? What is not true? What can never be true? Venus in Pisces sextile Jupiter in Taurus- 9.47pm EST- If you are grounded in your Sacred Center this is a very beneficial aspect. The energy is expansion, growth, and manifestation of your vision. Abundance and prosperity are yours if you open to receive. Venus is the natural ruler of Taurus and asks you to believe in yourself.
Libra Fourth Quarter Moon- Jan 16- 4.09am EST to Jan 19- 2.32pm EST- This is the re-adjust and realignment phase. Since the Moon is in Libra, Crow, justice and balance, and Raven, the mysteries, are here to guide you. It is time to re-vision your relationships, first to self and then to others. Venus conjoins Chiron in Pisces- 6.12am EST- This is a wonderful aspect that promises spiritual illumination as you continue on your healing journey. There may even be some shifting in the collective unconscious with this meeting of the planet of love and the Wounded Healer in the sign of the Oneness Of All. The Moon enters Scorpio at 11.33am EST so transformation is possible if resistance is released.
Sagittarius Balsamic Moon- Jan 19- 2.32pm EST to Jan 23- 2.40am EST- Usually the Balsamic phase completes the lessons from the New Moon of the same sign. But the Sagittarius New Moon of Nov 25, 2011 was a Solar Eclipse and continues the theme of confusion. Focus on releasing what no longer nourishes your spirit and recommit to your Soul Purpose path. Sun in Capricorn square Saturn in Libra- 4.19pm EST- This aspect may activate feelings of limitation and restriction in relationship. Just know if you feel liberated within it does not matter what is happening “out there”. You have the power to change how you feel but you cannot change how the other feels. Focus on what is right for you.
Sun enters Aquarius- Jan 20- 11.10am EST- We now enter the Rest and Cleansing Time with Otter, companionship and sharing, as our guide until Feb18/19 depending on your time zone. In the northern hemisphere we are deeply into winter so rest is something that we long for. Use this Sun cycle to strengthen friendships and enjoy the companionship of those people of like minds. Venus in Pisces sextile Pluto in Capricorn- 3.32pm EST- This is an aspect of ease that promises transformation of whatever issues you are dealing with in an effortless way. Again if you are in resistance you will miss the opportunity. Be receptive and true change will happen.
Sun in Aquarius sextile Uranus in Aries- Jan 21- 8.20pm EST- This will be an interesting activation as Uranus, breakthrough, is the ruler of Aquarius, the collective consciousness. Uranus in Aries is offering all of us the opportunity to free our true selves and become way- showers for others. Let us hope this means freedom for those in the world who are fighting limitations and restrictions within their societies.
Sun in Aquarius square Jupiter in Taurus- Jan 22- 1.35am EST- This square could set up some financial challenges in the world economy later today. Stay connected to your spiritual center and you will vibrate at a higher frequency. Remember you create your own reality.
Aquarius New Moon 02 Aquarius 42 - Jan 23- 2.40am EST- This is the Rest and Cleansing Moon with Otter, playfulness, sharing, and companionship as our guide. The Clan Mother is Wisdom Keeper who teaches to honour the truth in all things. She is guardian of all sacred traditions and sacred points of view. As Uranus is the ruler for this New Moon unpredictability may be the theme for this cycle. As you make your wishes and affirmations let your inner knowing guide you. This is also the Chinese New Year of the Water Dragon- Dragons are viewed as fiery and all powerful as they were symbols for the emperor. Because this is the year of the Water Dragon the impetuous fire may be somewhat subdued. The Dragon year promises good fortune, charismatic attraction, personal power, and being guided by your inner knowing. It is a year of luck and blessings that you create through your own spiritual truth. Remember Dragons can fly and so can you when you believe in yourself.
Mercury in Capricorn trine Mars in Virgo- Jan 23- 6.15am EST- Use this early morning aspect to identify what it is that you want to focus on healing as the planet of action is about to go on his rare backwards journey. As a healer teacher you can only help others transform if you have gone through your own transformation regarding a particular issue. Work with the gift the planet of life force is about to bring into your experience. Mars turns retrograde at 23 degrees Virgo- 7.54pm EST- Mars the planet of action entered his retrograde shadow on Nov 17, 2011. You now have the opportunity to re-evaluate, readjust, redefine, and eventually re-vision where you want to put your focus and creation energy. It is a bit of a long process as Mars will be retrograde until Apr 13, 2012 and finally clears his retrograde shadow June 19, 2012. Patience is required something Mars is not good at but fortunately Virgo is. We will write more about the Mars retrograde journey in the coming weeks.
