Galactic Federation: Qualities Of A Meditator

Real freedom cannot be achieved through any other means except meditation because only through meditation can we really understand ourselves as we really are rather than what we think we are, what others think we should be like, or what society expects from us..
Meditation is the art of being fully present.
In Buddhism, meditation is a practice to achieve "the highest happiness and the greatest enlightenment." It is a way of training the mind for higher awareness or wisdom.
Meditation is effortless and effortful at the same time: effortful because if you want to do something good for yourself, then you have to put in some effort, but effortless because if you do not have any desire or longing for something, then there is no need for any effort on your part either.
Meditative persons have no fear at all in their lives because they know that "everything in this world comes from me—the same thing that I am and that I do every moment of my life every day and every night."
They don't worry about anything. They do not have any problems at all. They feel no pain anywhere in their minds or in any part of their being because they know that they are full of joy and bliss, and they have no doubt at all.
They know what real freedom means. This kind of freedom cannot be achieved through any other means except meditation because only through meditation can we really understand ourselves as we really are, rather than what we think we are, what others think we should be like, or what society expects of us as good citizens or gentlemen.
The most important thing in meditation is not to sit down and do it but to have the right attitude.
The attitude of meditative equipoise is simply being able to see things as they are without your personal viewpoint or evaluation. When you look at a flower in a certain way, it's just a flower. When you look at it another way, it's something else. But whatever way you look at it, it's still just a flower, nothing more and nothing less.
In other words, when you are in a state of meditative equilibrium, you see all things as they are: no good or bad; no beauty or ugliness; nothing special; just this moment's reality.
Meditative people think like children! They just go with the flow of things; they follow their heart's desire! They just live in harmony with the world around them and try not to disturb anyone else's peace of mind or happiness either by saying something stupid, doing something ugly, or creating some sort of disturbance on their own behalf!
They have the ability to observe their own reactions and the reactions of others with detachment. They don't get attached to anything, including other people's reactions to them.
They can be gentle in speech and manner without losing their self-confidence or dignity. They are not afraid of being judged by others or criticized by them; they have a sense of humor about themselves and their own foibles, which makes them very easy to live with day in and day out.
Meditation also gives you purpose in life—a reason to be alive and working on something worthwhile—which helps you avoid getting bored or restless in your work or activity, which is another quality that most meditators possess because they have something meaningful to do while they're awake during the day (while most people spend time watching TV or surfing the internet at night).
Meditation helps you be your best self because it teaches you to be more relaxed and calm when under stress or pressure.
It also teaches you how to handle yourself better in situations where people may criticize you or try to put you down.
You can't let that get to you because you know how important it is to keep your cool as well as maintain your composure so that others can't see how upset you are over what they're saying or doing. This will give them the impression that they've won over you and have gotten their way with whatever they did or said to get what they wanted from you!
- A really meditative person does not worry about the future or the past.
- A really meditative person does not judge anyone else; they feel compassion for others and try to help them in any way they can if they see someone in need of help or guidance.
- A really meditative person has no attachments; they do not get attached to anything external such as people, places, or things that come into their lives, because those things tend to be temporary and will eventually pass away. This does not mean that a person who meditates doesn't have friends or family members who are important to them because it's possible for someone who meditates to still have close relationships with other people, but they know that consciousness is the only reality and all other things are temporary.
It can be hard to find time to meditate, but when you do, it will become part of your mindfulness practice. If you commit to making time for just a small amount of meditation, whether it's five minutes or ten minutes per day, you will feel the difference.
