There’s a young lady I see often—she works at one of the local businesses where I’m a regular customer. In all the time I’ve known her, I’ve never seen her smile or say something pleasant to the customers. She wears a sour, serious look which never changes.

I’m not judging her, and there probably is something sad going on in her life. But it’s no fun when she waits on me.

In my opinion, far too many of us go about our days with far too much seriousness—as this young lady clearly does. I used to be like that when I was younger—always serious, almost never laughing.

Do you know anyone like that? Here’s Spirit.

Spirit

From our perspective many humans certainly do take life too seriously.

Babies and animals know how to play and have fun. The reason is they are still fully aligned with their source energy—or God. They have not drifted away or forgotten, as most adult humans have.

There is nothing—nothing—on your planet that justifies any of you going about your lives as seriously as many of you do. We’re not ignoring the challenges all of you, individually and together, are facing in your modern world. And we’re not saying to “stick your heads in the sand.”

But we are saying you will move through your challenges and your lives far more easily and effortlessly if you would simply take a few minutes each day to find something to laugh about.

Laughter—joy—fun have many powerful benefits for you and for your bodies, minds, and spirits.

You can literally heal your bodies with laughter. As your famous editor did. (Spirit is referring toNorman Cousins who used laughter to heal himself from a life-threatening illness.) You can heal your minds of depression, anxiety, and fear. And your spirits will laugh along with you.

There is no seriousness in the world of spirit. We enjoy, and take joy in, every aspect of our, and your, beings. We would love to see every one of you see yourselves as we see you.

At your core, all of you are fun-loving, joy-filled, happy beings. That is your true nature. You’ve just let yourselves get talked out of that.

Now is the time to remember who you truly are. So start deliberately looking for the fun, the joy, the laughter in every aspect, every challenge even, of your lives.

Have fun with all this. Life is not serious. Life is meant to be fully lived with deep joy.

Your joy brings you closer to your true selves, to spirit, to each other, and to all that is.

There’s no doubt about it—babies and animals know how to play and have fun. There’s nothing profound about this video. But watching it will give you a few moments of fun and play. We could all use more of that!

In the early 1980s John took a spiritual development course, and was introduced to his first spirit guide, Lydia. After Lydia arrived, three other guides also came to him: Archangel Michael, Tamarra, and Chief Joseph. Today these are John’s four main guides.

Besides his four main ones, John has various other guides. The entire group is really a multidimensional collective consciousness. John refers to the entire group simply as “Spirit.”
