Are You Out of Your Mind?

If someone tells you that you are out of your mind, it’s not so much an insult anymore.
If you can get to a place, in any point in your day, where you are out of your mind, congratulate yourself, you are doing well. You are a step closer to your full mastery.
And by out of your mind, I don’t mean wrestling with your thoughts. Or feeling crazy. That’s just being deep into your mind. You will know those moments because you will be engaging your senses. Whether it’s your sense of smell, touch, taste, sight, or sense of hearing.
And in those moments, you are allowing energies to flow. You are allowing the process of Embodied Enlightenment to flow. When you begin to question things, like why you feel bad, or even why you feel good, you’re out of the flow and back into the mind.
Don’t feel bad if it’s difficult to be out of the mind, because the mind is addictive. More addictive than any substance. In fact, when people take certain substances to feel good, they call them mind altering experiences. But actually, the mind is not being altered, but it is being relegated to the background, the reason some people have a so called bad trip while under the influence is because the mind feels frightened.
It’s not been guided safely to the background, and it feels threatened.
But in Enlightenment, we are slowly guiding our mind to being in the background. This process feels painstakingly slow at times because our conditioned human mind is kicking and screaming. It’s freaking out. It’s losing control. It is slowly dawning on the mind that it really doesn’t have a clue what to do. This enlightenment thing is not in its wheelhouse.
It doesn’t have a clue about how to heal the body, or how to create financial abundance. It doesn’t know the first thing about feeling really excited by life from a place of just being here, not from a place of extracting the joy from others or from the outside.
So to push the mind to the background too quickly would be like having a really bad trip. Our human personality couldn’t handle it all at once.
The mind is like a frightened child. You can’t just tell it to go to its room when it’s scared. You just acknowledge the fear. And then, this is the part that takes time, you just allow the eternal YOU to come in. That is comforting to even the mind. Because the mind begins to feel that unconditional love.
So the resistance is released. So the next time, it doesn’t freak out so much, it is beginning to see a new pattern in which the more it takes the background the better for it. And it can then do what it was meant to do for us, to do certain tasks and tend to certain details.
Our mind begins to feel like it is still a part of our life, and that our human personality isn’t going to be annihilated. In fact, It begins to feel like the soul really likes that personality. It respects and honors it.
So the more we can just relax into this process, the better. The more we can be in our senses, the more our soul can be in our body. Everyone benefits. Our mind, and our personality. And eventually the physical begins to respond too.
The more we can be in our senses, the more this Embodied Enlightenment makes sense to us.
