RUNE OF THE MONTH: Dagaz “breakthrough, transformation”. In times of transformation the outcome is not always predictable. A symbolic death of sorts is at hand, shifting what we took for granted or never questioned, forcing us to reinvent ourselves. As we honor our true wishes and desires, progress with integrity, a whole new life can emerge from the rubbles, better, brighter, happier than the one we left behind.

The Saturn-Uranus Square on Feb 17 which will be one of the most important themes of this year, is by far the most significant aspect of this month. There could be much social unrest, signs of rebellion -even revolution, in the world. Confrontations between the people wanting their freedom and the increased restrictions imposed by authorities, could become particularly intense. On a personal level, unexpected circumstances could make us feel we are losing our footing while experiencing limited independence and a sense of great insecurity. Fragile people are likely to become quite unstable. As some abruptly leave, others enter our lives who become great catalysts of transformation. As we go from the known into the unknown, pushed by this “reset”, we  awaken to our truth and our real destiny.

Mercury which is retrograde the first 3 weeks of February, turns direct on Saturday 1/20 (12:36 AM) at 11º05’ Aries. Its shadow period lasts until May 1st, 2021. This degree is symbolized by: “A triangularly shaped flight of wild geese”.  During the first weeks of February in our haste to jump to conclusions without having verified the facts, many misunderstandings could occur. Communications are likely to be impulsive, abrupt -even violent, as people don’t take the time to think before speaking. In the face of restrictions, frustrations could run high. After the 20th, we shall find new ways to express our independence and discover exciting pathways to freedom.

Perfect also for detailed work, the focused use of our intelligence, and taking care of small pets….

Moon in Libra between 2/1 at 3:25 AM and 2/3 at 6:14 AM: Great for relationships, associations, diplomatic exchanges with others, anything related to beauty (a haircut, buying new clothes, a make-over…), art (especially painting and decorating…), a pleasant social event (concert, art exhibition…).

Moon in Scorpio between 2/3 at 6:15 AM and 2/5 at 9:15 AM: Perfect for scientific research, esoteric studies, self-transformation, shamanism, dealing with the mysteries of life, death, and sexuality, as well as insurances and issues involving personal power.

Moon in Aquarius between 2/9 at 5:20 PM and 2/11 at 11:22 PM: Perfect for philanthropic activities, charitable organizations, meeting with friends, making new acquaintances. Good also for inventions, far out, progressive ideas, inter-dimensional and time travel, anything related to UFOs, computers and technology in general….

Moon in Pisces between 2/11 at 11:23 PM and 2/14 at 7:53 AM: Great for meditating, sitting by the ocean, anything related to the sacred, dancing, painting, swimming, dreaming, music, photography, film, sleeping, channeling, connecting with the mystical, the magic and the oneness of all that is…

Moon in Aries between 2/14 at 7:54 AM and 2/16 at 7:11 PM: Perfect for intense physical activities, anything requiring forceful, direct action and self-assertion. Good also for leadership, spontaneity, good will, being a way shower, initiating new projects or bringing our car to the mechanic….

Moon in Taurus between 2/16 at 7:12 PM and 2/19 at 8:03 AM: Perfect for any financial matter: paying our bills/debts, asking for the money that is owed to us, investing in real estate, buying and selling. Perfect also for a stroll in the park, going to the countryside, connecting with our Mother the Earth… Good also for gardening, pottery, sculpting, as well as bodywork…

Moon in Gemini between 2/19 at 8:04 AM and 2/21 at 7:52 PM: Excellent for multi-tasking, curiosity, any form of communication, exchanging information, sending e-mails, calling friends and acquaintances. Great also for social activities, attending conferences, reading a book, watching a documentary, gathering data on various topics, connecting with new people….

Moon in Cancer between 2/21 at 7:53 PM and 2/24 at 4:22 AM: Perfect for family activities, especially those involving children. Good for spending more time at home, cooking, nurturing ourselves and those we love, inviting the people we cherish over for dinner. Excellent also for drawing, creative writing, humor and anything requiring imagination and a touch of craziness….

Moon in Leo between 2/24 at 4:23 AM and 2/26 at 9:06 AM: Excellent for anything glamorous, dramatic performances, being in the public’s eye, throwing or attending an elegant party, playing with children, romance and creativity in general…

Our intentional meditation started with the Full Moon on Thursday 1/28. We took out as many blank sheets of paper as you had intentions and placed them near a window, on a balcony or in a garden so that they would bask in the light of the Full Moon in Leo. Once that moment passed, we gathered our Full Moon charged blank sheets and placed them in a folder.

On Thursday 2/11 on the New Moon in Pisces, take out your blank full moon charged papers and write on each a concise, positive intention. Place them on a balcony, in a garden or near a window so that they are out by exactly 11:23 PM. Once that moment has passed, staple them together and put them away in a folder expecting the manifestation of all your dreams….

Next month’s intentional meditation starts on Saturday 2/27. Take out as many blank sheets of paper as you have intentions and place them near a window, on a balcony or in a garden so that they bask in the light of the Full Moon in Virgo at exactly 12:17 AM. Once that moment will have passed, gather your Full Moon charged blank sheets and place them in a folder.

Monday 2/1: Sun Square Mars (2:34 AM), Venus enters Aquarius (6:04 AM) till Thursday 2/25 (5:10 AM)

A day to be active, to exercise, direct our energy towards constructive goals and avoid arguments. If we are not careful, conflicts with others could quickly escalate. During the next 3 weeks, friendship takes precedence over romance. We seek an unusual partner who shares our ideas and is innovative. Balancing freedom and intimacy is a must. Money could come through leaps and bounds in an unexpected manner.  

Friday 2/5: Venus Conjunct Saturn (11:07 PM)

Single people could feel lonelier than usual, while those who have a partner could reassess their connection with great seriousness and realism. A good relationship becomes stronger and more committed, while a shaky one may come to an end. Our attitude towards money is solid and grounded.

Saturday 2/6: Venus Square Uranus (7:33 PM)

Our relationships could be unstable which could be all at once exciting and upsetting. The more we go with the flow, are present to the present, remain independent and are friends with our partner, the more our love has a chance to last. Our finances could fluctuate wildly today with sudden gains and unexpected losses.

Monday 2/8: Sun Conjunct Mercury (5:48 AM)

A day of pleasant communications, small, interesting trips and useful information. We are sociable, enjoy light conversations with others, connect with old friends and get through our e-mails and phone calls with ease. Our curiosity leads us to read and study varied topics of interest. Excellent also for attending a conference that stimulates our mind.

Wednesday 2/10: Mercury Square Mars (4:16 AM)

We are required to think fast, be decisive, courageous, assertive and honest. However, reflecting before we speak is advised as we could be particularly direct, even aggressive. Staying away from conflict or potentially violent people is recommended, as their words could be particularly hurtful. Driving while angry is not wise.

Thursday 2/11: Venus Conjunct Jupiter (7:00 AM)

Today, we feel expansive, positive and adventurous. Our enthusiasm is contagious. Many doors open, the people we meet are exciting. Our social life is fun and enriching. A perfect day to try our luck at the lottery, attend a glamorous event or buy an item that adds beauty and elegance to our life.

Friday 2/12: Mercury Conjunct Venus (11:48 PM)

This transit brings pleasant and loving conversations with others. Perfect for planning a gathering among friends. We express ourselves with diplomacy. Reading a nice novel or watching a romantic movie are also perfect uses of this day’s peaceful energies.

Saturday 2/13: Mars Sextile Neptune (6:13 PM)

Our imagination and creativity are at an all times’ high but may remain castles in the sky if we don’t put in the necessary hard work to concretize them.  A certain restlessness could stir us in new directions. Surprises are exciting.

Sunday 2/14: Mercury Conjunct Jupiter (1:40 PM)

We feel expansive and enthusiastic. Our confidence, positive energy and tolerance are contagious. A perfect day to enroll in higher education, study philosophy, religion or the law. Excellent also for beginning a long-distance trip or becoming interested in another culture or learning a new language. However, we may need to be careful to not promise more than we can deliver.

Thursday 2/18: The Sun enters Pisces (2:44 AM) till 3/20

During the next month, our sensitivity, compassion, as well as our attraction to peace and beauty, are heightened. Artists, healers and channelers are particularly inspired. However, we should beware of spiritual imagination and wanting to retreat in a world of dreams rather than face a reality felt to be too harsh.  

Friday 2/19: Venus Square Mars (3:04 PM)

Obstacles in our social life are met with frustration which quickly transforms into impatience and anger. We need to be careful around potentially violent people who are unlikely to contain their resentment. Situations with others are volatile and unstable. Best to channel any excess energy in a physical activity that brings beauty. Dancing or a fun, competitive encounter with like-spirited friends are good outlets for this transit.  

Wednesday 2/24: Mars Trine Pluto (5:52 PM)

Today, it is unwise to test other people’s limits or play power games. Avoiding conflicts and remaining as positive, honest and diplomatic as possible is advised. Dynamic, courageous, constructive actions that enlist the support of all involved and create situations where all win, are the best.

Thursday 2/25: Venus enters Pisces (5:11 AM) till 3/21, Sun Sextile Uranus (1:13 PM)

This coming month, our sensitivity and compassion are particularly enhanced.  Our appreciation for art is increased. Artists, healers and channelers are inspired. We are drawn to meditation, peace, harmony, balance and beauty and feel intensely the suffering of those less privileged than ourselves. Today more specially, we should expect the unexpected. Plans may suddenly change. People we hadn’t heard from in while, could appear, and while some may fall out of our lives, new friendships develop with unusual characters walking to the sound of their own drummer. The more flexible and present to the present we are, the more exciting this day will prove to be.
