December 2022 Monthly Forecast

December 2022 Monthly Forecast

The main theme for December is: “GET INSPIRED”

December is a big month and not entirely all beauty and fun, as we are still under sluggish influences keeping us focused internally, filtering and weeding out the debris of old emotional baggage, relationships that don’t support us, habits that don’t serve us, and responsibilities that are not ours. The good news is that we are very slowly moving out of the intense grind of the past several months that for many of us has been very challenging.

The most important area of growth and focus this month is around the reflection of what inspires you and whether you have what inspires you active in your life at this time or not. We have some powerful points of change with the full moon and the solstice times that will hold your feet to the fire in this process of observation making it one not so easily ignored. Whatever is not inspiring will become painfully obvious and you will have opportunities to make choices, decisions, and adjustments. There are a lot of aspects to inspiration that will be affected this month beginning with the personal self. Are you inspired by who you are? Self-esteem issues are on the table and there will be many chances to forgive the past and reset one’s relationship to self.

Other areas of inspiration and reflection are, relationships, your personal environment, your work, study, habits, patterns, beliefs, responsibilities, intentions, projects and all the things that you have or are planning to have on your plate. Question your inspiration in each of these areas. Are you inspired by what you have, do, think or believe? Tell the truth about your enthusiasm and passion without comparing yourself to others or to an old dream.

Beauty also plays an important part as beauty is a necessary ingredient to inspiration. It is difficult to generate enthusiasm and to be inspired when we are dealing with challenging situations and sluggish energy. When you actively bring beauty in, it helps to reset the environment to being more conducive to inspiration.

December is a good month to prepare for what is coming. We have been moving towards change in fits and starts, some of it feeling positive and generating optimism, and some of it bringing up disappointment and discouragement. Wherever you are personally with this greater cycle of change, the most important focus this month will be to get inspired and realigned with your passion and what is true for you. There may be many things that require an adjustment including relationships, work, habits, the way you use your energy and time, boundaries, and responsibilities.

This is not an easy month and will require discipline and focus so that you don’t succumb to feeling discouraged, despondent, irritated, impatient, confused, victimized, overwhelmed and cynical. It is important to acknowledge the shadow and express emotions as long as they are not projected onto others in blame or judgment. Emotional expression with release and clearing can be very inspiring as a path to freedom where your curiosity can take you into something new. The reflection of what inspires you will definitely bring up personal reactions to people, circumstances, responsibilities and environments that you have been putting up with that are not inspiring to you. You then have a choice to either infuse them with inspiration or let them go. If you ignore them, it will not go well.

It is also important this month not to become frustrated with how slowly things seem to move or how unclear the way forward seems to be. Get in sync with the slower energy instead of being in resistance to it. Listen to your intuition and open yourself up to following a dreamy future thread even if the details are not yet obvious. It will be best to consider lightening your load, your schedule and your expectations of yourself and others this month so you don’t run out of steam and feel so overwhelmed that you cannot enjoy the season.

How the month shows up:

YOU PERSONALLY
Get in sync with the current pace and you will have an easier time of it this month. Take whatever you can off your plate to avoid overwhelm. Get comfortable with not knowing the details of the future. Take as much time as you can this month to reflect on inspiration and whether you have enough of it in your life or not. Many things can happen on a personal level this month. Rebooting spiritual practices will set up a good container for bringing in more inspiration. Fortifying your boundaries and being able to say no to unreasonable expectations, responsibilities that are not yours, and unnecessary expenditures of energy will also help to clear the space for you to rekindle enthusiasm and inspiration moving forward. Choosing a new area of study and having the courage to go for it can also inspire you. The key words are “new” and “inspiring.”

There is an opportunity for a big release, like an exhale this month as you let go of effort and related stress from something that is not supporting or inspiring to you any longer. This could be a relationship or pattern or anything you believe you ought to be doing that is not really important or part of your personal truth. Take some time to rest and rejuvenate while we are still under the influence of a slower energy.

The benefit to you personally this month is that you could lighten your load, physically, psychologically and emotionally. Be aware that in doing so, you are likely to disappoint others if they are attached. There is great freedom on the other side of releasing the uninspired bits of your life. There will be times of deep inner contemplation balanced with times of important social interaction and shared communal experiences. Take time to acknowledge all the personal growth of this year to date and how far you have come. Although the future may not yet be clear, be optimistic about it. The key is inspiration.

RELATIONSHIPS
Find ways this month to be inspired by who others are, what they do and how they express themselves. We need to move into an appreciation of diversity instead of judgment of the differences. If an important relationship is no longer inspiring to you, find ways to add some excitement through adventure or something new and different. Change it up during your social times so you are not doing the same old thing especially during the holidays. Give people a chance to show up differently and acknowledge when someone is attempting to re-inspire a relationship they have with you by proposing something new.

Are you inspired by your relationship with yourself? If not, why? Perhaps you need to try something new, have more courage, creativity and self-expression. Some will find new inspiration and some will be beyond re-inspiring. Allow what is finished to be complete and set an intention to fill the space with what can inspire you.

HEALTH AND THE PHYSICAL BODY
When we mention health and well-being, it can conjure images of disciplines, diets, exercise routines and doing things that are not always fun. If your disciplines in this area are not inspiring to you, they will fail. You will need to make sure that whatever you choose to do to support your health and well-being has an inspiring and creative aspect to it so you can come from a place of enthusiasm instead of dread. Because of the need to support the spiritual aspect of life, use your spiritual practices as a means to inspire the rest of your mundane tasks. It helps to see spirit in everything and to focus on beauty in everything you see.

If you are in the process of healing something, it is important to focus on and acknowledge any progress no matter how small, and to be inspired by it rather than obsessing about what is not happening. Practice patience especially during these times where progress could feel slower than you would like.

BUSINESS PARTNERSHIPS AND PROJECTS
This is the area of potentially the most profound change. How many of you are in situations where you are putting up with aspects of your business, partnerships and projects that are completely uninspiring and have been for a long time? You may have gotten so used to it that you no longer react. This month you will not be able to ignore where you feel uninspired and will need to take the opportunity to reflect on what you can do differently, what you need to change and perhaps how you can re-inspire your projects or let them go. Even if you are completing something that used to be inspiring and now simply needs to be finished, you can still find a way to bring some inspiration into the task.

The preparation for things to come includes taking a good hard look at your work life and making some practical decisions about where it is going and with whom. Sometimes you can be more inspired by the people whom you work with more than the project itself. It is a good month to reframe, reorganize and reset this area of your life so you can move into the future with inspiration, optimism and enthusiasm.

ENVIRONMENT
What if we could be inspired by the power of nature instead of going into fear? Our attachment to expectations in our environment is a recipe for disappointment, irritation and feeling victimized. Expect more extremes in weather, climate and earth phenomena as well as unpredictable reactions that may influence schedules, travel, and plans. If you find yourself in a situation requiring flexibility and acceptance, try and find inspiration in the experience.

Your personal environment is greatly affected by the reflection on inspiration this month. If you are irritated in any way by clutter, things in disrepair, a lack of beauty or a boring personal environment, what is uninspired will be quite obvious and you will feel pressured to change things up. Make sure you do not overwhelm yourself with a project that is too ambitious. Start small with perhaps a new piece of art or painting a wall. Allow yourself to have something new and different that lends inspiration to your environment. It could be something very small. Inspire yourself to improve your surroundings and bring in more beauty.

DATES AND TIME FRAMES

December 1-7: This time frame may feel foggy and somewhat untethered. This is not a time to be pushy about what you want to have happen. It is a time to accept the flow of energy at its own pace and to allow emotions to be expressed, and healing to take place. Use your intuition when there is confusion instead of clarity and embrace right timing if you involved in anything that has a time line. Practice reasonable practicality and avoid impulsive behavior.

This is also good time to focus on your self-esteem and what inspires you about yourself. Reflect on your personal growth and find inspiration in how much you have accomplished this year. What about support? Do you feel supported and are you inspired by that support? If you are still healing old emotional wounds, be inspired by your ability to forgive and move on. It is also important to appreciate being human and the whole growth experience of life as it evolves. Return to spiritual practices if you don’t have them in your daily routine. They will set a good foundation for the month.

December 7: Full Moon in Gemini is Wednesday, December 7 at 9:08PM Mountain Standard Time (MST). Known as the cold moon, it a good time to contemplate bringing the things in your life that do not inspire you to a natural completion. This moon comes with a need for curiosity as you set your sights on dreaming up something new.

The Full Moon aspects bring a charged energy, not as intense as the full moon in November but it can still trigger sensitive points, creating a great opportunity to continue healing the past. Have patience with your personality and allow the spiritual side to be expressed. Listen to both and find balance.

This is a good time to question your motivations and actions. How are you using your energy? Where are you spending your time and resources? Is it inspiring? If not, how can you make it so? What needs to change?

Honor the shadow, be aware of your emotions, express them without blame or projection, and don’t get stuck in the drama. Honor your boundaries and those of others, use your intuition about what is right, and do something creative that brings beauty into your personal environment.

December 8-15: We take the energy of the full moon and use it to our advantage during this time frame. These days are conducive to opening the heart to more love and beauty, especially self-love. It is a good time to anchor something you have identified as a new inspiration or the re-inspiration of something old. There is also an opportunity to bring in more abundance. Work with gratitude and be inspired by what you have as a way to increase your sense of abundance. Connecting with what you are passionate about is also possible during this time frame. Anything you are not inspired by or passionate about needs further scrutiny if it is still in your life.

December 16-23: This time frame comes with opportunities for higher-centered experiences of being one with all and connected to source. It is a good time to dream big and raise yourself up and above mundane irritations. Get in sync with the slower cycle of energy and give everything more time than you think it needs. This time is also conducive to jump-starting something that inspires you and to creating an action plan to make it happen. Take time for yourself and don’t get distracted with too many obligations. If you are feeling overwhelmed, reflect on your priorities, take something off your plate, handle important responsibilities, and then use your energy for something you are passionate about.

December 21:

Solstice is Wednesday, December 21 at 2:48PM Mountain Standard Time (MST)

It is important to honor both the light and the dark, endings and beginnings, the inner self, and the outer self. Energetically this time is much more aligned with the ending of one cycle and the beginning of a new one than the ending of the calendar year and the beginning of a new one. Although we celebrate New Year’s, it is powerful to honor this day in a ritual of release of something completed or no longer needed, and the setting of new intentions moving forward. Remember that no matter how things look now, there is always a way forward, even if it is not yet clear. Use the solstice energy to anchor your desires through intention for an inspired way forward that honors your true passions.

December 23: New Moon in Capricorn is Friday, December 23 at 3:16 AM Mountain Standard Time (MST) More on this Super New Moon will be sent as a Power Path New Moon update to our mailing list (click here to join)

December 24-31:  Plan for the future using the new moon energy and anchor some of those inspirations you have connected with during the past few weeks. What makes you happy needs to be a serious focus as it will be the fuel for your future. As you follow your truth and intuition, you may disappoint people who are used to playing out past traditions but if they no longer inspire you, it is time to change. Keep your schedule light during this time. Take a break from anything stressful, don’t overdo your schedule, and be patient with delays, mis-communications, and changes in plans. Always try and move away from intensity instead of towards it.

Have a great month! Happy Holidays!

Blessings,

Lena
