Horoscopes: April 22nd Thru The 29th

Horoscopes: April 22nd Thru The 29th

For this week’s horoscopes, read both your Sun Sign and Rising Sign. And if you know which house 28º of Capricorn falls in your natal chart, read that as well:

Aries

(Pluto stations in the 10th House) For the next 6 months, Pluto will be in its retrograde phase, and desperately trying to get you back in alignment with nothing less that your soul’s deepest purpose, and destiny. It’s been trying to do this for years! And like your agent standing in the wings reminding you that this could be your last big chance to show the world what you can do, Pluto is pushing you out on to the stage of life for this last great dress rehearsal in the final degrees of Capricorn. But as you stand at the edge of the stage, dressed in all your finery, you are going to be asking a number of questions during the retrograde phase of Pluto, such as: How much do I really want this thing? Is it worth it standing her in all this regalia? Do I really believe in what I am doing? And am I truly passionate about the goals that I have committed to? The more that you believe in what you are doing, and where you see yourself going moving forward.. the more confident you will feel about doing it. Your homework for the next 6 months that Pluto will be in its retrograde phase is about cultivating confidence in the choices that you have made and are making. And exploring what needs updating in the process. The rest will follow as it will.

Taurus

(Pluto stations in the 9th House) For the past 14 years that Pluto has been in Capricorn, it has had the remarkable ability to change the way that you see the world. This may have come about due to a series of events that shows you that a previous point of view, a personal belief is no longer valid. That there might be another way of looking at an issue, a perspective, or even the world. One thing that can become apparent is that you cannot force other people to your point of view, any more than they can force you to believe something, just because of their say so. You have to see it for yourself when Pluto is in Capricorn. And Pluto has this remarkable way of unveiling the truth, piece by piece, ever evolving and unfolding. And as new evidence came to light over the past so many years, you may have even found your opinions evolving as well. And now that Pluto is diving into its retrograde phase, this becomes ever more personal, so that any self-limiting ideas, prejudices or assumptions are going to be challenged for validity. Your homework for the next 6 months is to be open and willing to see things from another point of view. Be prepared to have our mind blown when that occurs.

Gemini

(Pluto stations in the 8th House) During the past 14 years that Pluto has been in Capricorn, Gemini people have been going through a tremendous period of change and transformation. It is likely for many a Gemini that by the time Pluto leaves this sign in 2023 your life could be vastly different from what it was when it first entered Capricorn in 2008. An older phase of life has been giving birth to another, and through that process these years have been riddled with a series of growing pains and major changes that make you realize that your life will never be quite the same again. And during the retrograde phases each year, like the one we are now embarking on, Pluto digs deep down into the firmament of your psyche, to ever deeper layers, where all sorts of emotions, buried secrets and fears have been laying dormant, but still percolating beneath the surface. Pluto wants them out. He wants them to be uncovered, revealed, healed and excised. But in order to do so, like Persephone, you are being asked to enter his domain, confront the inevitable, perhaps even confront a few demons lurking along the path, and be willing to undo that which binds you. Pluto wants you to grow. And anything that is holding you back and preventing you from growing will now need to be dealt with once and for all.

Cancer

(Pluto stations in the 7th House) You would probably have to look at your own natal Pluto to get some idea as to why you have been doing relationships the way you have, or why you are attracted to the sorts of people you have. This has been especially true these past 14 years that Pluto has been in the sign of Capricorn. Now that Pluto is going to be in its retrograde phase for the next 6 months we are all being asked to look within, rather than without. For that is where the real Pluto work is needing to be done. Other people can serve as catalysts, forcing us to look back at ourselves. This in turn can compel us to grow and evolve in profound and meaningful ways. But so long as we expect all of our happiness and satisfaction to be determined by what other people do or do not do, or to come from some other outside source we have no  control over, we are subject to the whims of external fortune. However, when Pluto stations retrograde this week, it is letting us know that when we are willing to put the focus on ourselves, and those things that we do have control over, that is when we begin to thrive. And then as a consequence so do our relationships thrive as well.

Leo

(Pluto stations in the 6th House) Hard work. Really, really hard, all consuming work. That is what it can feel like for Leo when Pluto is transiting the sign of Capricorn. And it is when Pluto is retrograde that it begins to get real. Even just the stuff we do to maintain our well-being: eating the right foods, getting enough sleep, using our time judiciously and effectively, and maintaining our daily routines. Even that stuff can feel like hard work when Pluto is rolling around in his underground lair. This can be challenging when the upcoming eclipses are lighting up the axis of your chart and asking you to step forward. But Pluto is going to let you know that you don’t have a choice. There are some things over which you have no control, and you are going to have to figure out ways to adjust to these or work around them. And then focus on those things that you do have control over, and what you can do in order to achieve some sort of normalcy and healthy stability in your life. Most of all, Pluto wants you to make your health and well being more of a priority, and anything that is being revealed during the retrograde phase over the next 6 months can not and will not be ignored.

Virgo

(Pluto stations in the 5th House) For the next 6 months, Pluto will be in its retrograde phase. During these months Pluto is also going to be reminding you of what your soul’s deepest yearnings are. And one of the ways it does this is by aligning you with your own individual expression of what your heart and soul is saying when it speaks to you. Sometimes this can be accomplished through a deeply compelling and loving relationship. One that consumes your waking moments and fills you with a burning passion (yes, just like those pulp fiction novels from the 50’s!). For others it can be an all consuming activity that stirs the creative cockles of your heart. Something that is asking to be born from within you. Something that is uniquely compelling to you, or unique about you. So it can also be accomplished through pursuing a much loved hobby, embarking on some sort of competitive journey, or a personally creative activity that helps to wake up those inner soulful yearnings. In some way your passions are asking to be reignited, to be awakened. And now that Pluto will be in its retrograde phase, he is aiming to stir things up, just enough to achieve just that.

Libra

(Pluto stations in the 4th House) For the past 14 years Libra has been recumbent on the therapist’s couch, sometimes out of sheer ennui, but often truly trying to figure out why the heck you do the things you do, and where all those crazy compulsions came from. Was it because you never fulfilled your mother’s dreams of becoming the next Ethyl Merman? Or was it because you were pretty sure you were not going to repeat the recurring themes of your ancestors passed down from generation to generation? Whatever disfunction was being revealed about you and/or your family history, was not just for the purpose of explaining how things got imprinted on your amygdala, so much as showing you what needs to be discarded and abandoned once and for all. Pluto was here to tell you to put down that sack of emotional debris you’ve been carrying all these years, and relieve yourself of all that weight: all those inner dialogues, the should haves and the could haves, the emotional abuse that has been taking place inside your own head. Then after releasing yourself of all of that weight you’ve been carrying with you all these years, just think of what it would finally be like to walk freely out into the world without all that commotion going on in your head. This is Libra’s homework for the next 6 months: to unload the emotional debris.

Scorpio

(Pluto stations in the 3rd House) With the sharp sword of discrimination, Scorpio cuts through the lies and the misinformation, the innuendo and the subterfuge. And while Pluto has been transiting Capricorn for the past 14 years this is what Scorpio was being asked to cultivate, hone and use, in order to dig up, investigate and discover the truth. With magnifying glass in hand, and donning your deerstalker hat, you are ready to get to the bottom of things. No stone is left unturned when Pluto is in your 3rd House. All the more so now that Pluto will also be retrograde. Know also that now that Pluto will be retrograde for the next 6 months, the most intriguing thing that will fascinate you going forward, is not so much about what is happening next door with the neighbors, or solving the next great mystery of all time, so much as what is going on inside your own head, and solving the mysteries found deeply embedded there. And once you start turning over the stones inside your head, all sorts of stuff will come crawling out and swimming to the surface. And you will never cease to astonish yourself with what you will find there. Be prepared to be amazed.

Sagittarius

(Pluto stations in the 2nd House) With Pluto traveling in your house of personal resources for the past 14 years, many a Sagittarius has been reassessing their relationship to what they own, their possessions, and their sense of self-worth. Pluto can even totally transform the ways and means that you support yourself during the years it has been in Capricorn. And oftentimes your finances and/or the ways you earn your money, or the very things you value most, can be totally transformed during the years that Pluto is here. Pluto can even sometimes take it all away, forcing people to reprioritize their needs and expectations. It can also rebuild newer and better foundations upon which you can rely on far into the future. But perhaps the most important theme that Pluto has been working on, and will be especially true now that Pluto will be in its retrograde phase, is not so much what you own, or how much you have in the bank, but the ways in which you value who you are, and what you have to offer. It’s about things like strength of character, good works and good values. And that is what Pluto wants you to further cultivate over the next 6 months.

Capricorn

(Pluto stations in the 1st House) Cynthia Occelli tells us that in order for a seed to achieve its fullest potential, it must first become completely undone. The shell cracks, and its insides fall out. It can even look like destruction at first, but this is what growth looks like when you have Pluto traveling in your sign, as it has been since 2008. Because Pluto has been in your sign, Capricorn has been going through a tremendous period of growth and transformation in the process. And now that it is stationing retrograde in the very last degrees of your sign, it aims to transform even the last vestiges of the stuff that had been put on the back burner, and ignored all these years. Stuff that you knew was there, but probably didn’t want to deal with. And in the process, all sorts of things are going to come to the surface that you probably didn’t even realize was there, or perhaps hoped would just go away on its own. It won’t. And as far as Pluto in Capricorn is concerned, there is always room for improvement. And whatever is preventing you from taking control over your own life and progress, will need to be addressed during this critical time of the year, when the great lord Pluto is retrograde in your sign.

Aquarius

(Pluto stations in the 12th House) There is something of an internal evolutionary growth process that has been going on with Aquarius, ever since Pluto first entered Capricorn in 2008. This could be reflected outwardly through specific events in your life that lets you know that your life is in the process of some sort of gradual transformation. But even with whatever may or may not be happening externally, no one will truly be aware of all that has been going on beneath the cool, calm surface of the Aquarius facade. For Aquarius, Capricorn is a sign that has to do with the subconscious world, the hidden things behind the scenes, the secrets of the past, the things long forgotten. Pluto is churning these up from the very depths of the subconscious and trying to bring them up to the surface. This isn’t an easy process, and much of it can manifest as indescribable feelings, fears, anxiety and urges that seem to have no basis. Yet they do. And Pluto is trying to show you what that all is. Know also that this is your greatest opportunity to finally arrive at a whole other level of healing and wholeness. Pluto demands acceptance, understanding and forgiveness. And that’s when the true transformation finally just begins.

Pisces

(Pluto stations in the 11th House) For the past 14 years Pisces has been sharing their unique gifts with the world in whichever way feels most comfortable for them. Most likely this process has evolved as it will over a lengthy period of time. And some of these unique gifts are not necessarily about work, or what we do in the world, so much as how we share ourselves and our insights with others. When we support each other through shared experiences, working together through the difficult, the challenging, the good and even the celebratory, together we can grow in ways that we could not on our own. There is almost an inevitability about it. Experiences shared with others can throw us back on ourselves, enrich our lives, and bring deeper meaning. All the more so as Pluto now stations for its retrograde phase. One thing that Pluto can show you over the next 6 months is that when you ally yourself with those who share similar ideals, the same sort of vision, hopes and values that you do, that will be when your own unique gifts will begin to blossom in ways that you had not realized was even possible, and can also help to buoy you over even the stormiest of seas.
