Horoscopes: May 27th Thru June 3rd

For the New Moon in Gemini (9º03’) for your natal sign or house location:

Aries

(3rd House) Mars/Jupiter is revving up the engines this week, as many will be filled with a righteousness that motivates them to want to do something. However, Mercury is still retrograde, and it can feel sometimes when you have these opposing forces that the harder you push the stronger the resistance will be. However a New Moon in Gemini, followed by Mercury’s direct station on June 3rd, can help you to formulate a plan of action going forward. But first you are being asked to clarify for yourself what it is that you are trying to achieve. For Aries, the New Moon in Gemini can inspire you to have your say, but you will want to make sure that you are going to be easily understood. In order to attain the clarity you seek, cut down on outside distractions, and pay attention to the ways these distractions affect your mind, and influence what you say, what you do, and what you believe. Then make the commitment to fill your mind with only the most positive thoughts and intentions. Think of this as an exercise in cultivating your own mind. Use the New Moon on Monday to: learn something new; better manage your time; or practice how to communicate, write or speak more effectively.

Taurus

(2nd House) Your ruling planet Venus comes home to Taurus on Saturday, helping you to realize those things, people and opportunities that are truly your most important priorities, desires, and needs. Pay attention to who or what is pulling at your heart strings, and brings you that inner awareness of peace and satisfaction. Venus in Taurus wants you to think in terms of commitment, stability and sustainability. And the New Moon on Monday will help you to launch any initiatives or plans that will help you to increase your self-worth, your value in the community, and the sustainability of your heart-felt desires. For Taurus, the New Moon in Gemini is a good moon to create a financial plan for the future, to look for creative ways to be more financially resourceful, find new sources of income, and to prioritize those things which are most important and meaningful to you in your life. And while you are at it, embrace Venus as she enters your sign, while releasing any self-sabotaging negativity about ownership, self-esteem and self-worth. May prosperity be mine in a way that benefits all those concerned.

Gemini

(1st House) The New Moon on Monday, May 30th, is at 9º Gemini 03’, affecting most strongly those Geminis born between May 27th and June 2nd, or have 6-12º of Gemini Rising. Yet all Geminis will be sensitive to this annual New Moon. Fresh with the newness of beginnings, you will want to make sure that whatever new initiatives are beings spawned at this time are a reflection of your true self. Make this a time for renewed self-awareness, and self-knowing. Reacquaint yourself with your personal interests and personal sense of identity. This is a good time to reinvent or improve yourself or your appearance, with the intention to be a more authentic version of yourself. Make room for more of who you are. Cull out what you have outgrown, and is no longer valid for the person you are becoming. This is your personal annual Moon, therefore decide what seeds you want to plant for the year ahead: what interests you wish to pursue, what you need more of, what you want to be more informed about, what will tweak your interests and lure you with fascination on this journey of becoming. Today is the first day of the rest of my life, may I recognize the steps that will help me to realize my most heartfelt dreams.

Cancer

(12th House) The New Moon in Gemini can often find you lingering on, and reviewing the past. All the more so this year, as Mercury is still retrograde until June 3rd. But it is also about releasing, and letting go of those situations, things and experiences that you have outgrown, and are no longer relevant for who you are now, and who you intend to be be. It would not be unusual to find yourself wanting to take some time out and retreat. This is when Cancer is more inclined to seek solitude in order to gain greater clarity, away from the distractions of the external world. Cancer does some of their best thinking when they are alone and undisturbed. But it can also be an opportunity to clear your mind of negative imprints and memories. It’s about releasing the past in order to walk unburdened into your future. This is a good moon to go on an educational retreat; to enter a sacred place of learning; to withdraw in order to gain deeper clarity; to connect to your dreams; read or write in solitude. The New Moon on Monday is also a good time to make the intention to learn better ways to shield yourself from negative thoughts and influences. May I have the courage to release those things that I no longer need, and that are preventing me from growing.

Leo

(11th House) For the New Moon in Gemini, Leo might want to work on: setting realistic and achievable aspirations; discovering your connections with others; Networking; facilitating connections with others, or finding your group. This Moon allows you to see these connections to something that may be much larger than just yourself, a much larger whole. This is where you find your associates, meet friends, gather with those of like mind and intention. But it is also where you connect with your ideals, hopes and wishes for the future. Therefore use the New Moon on Monday to connect with your hopes, dreams and aspirations. Make a list and make it long. Then release it out into the Universe. Then think of the ways that you can connect with those ideals, hopes and wishes towards which you are aspiring, and would like to see realized over the year ahead. A good intention for the New Moon in Gemini might be: If this dream is meant to be for me, may the best possible circumstance arise to see it fulfilled.

Virgo

(10th House) For Virgo the New Moon in Gemini is about clarifying for yourself your goals and aims for the future. The New Moon can sometimes bring new opportunities or a new position, or receive attention for something that you do well. It can even bring rewards, affirmations and confirmation, letting you know whether or not you have chosen the right path. And where you might want to go from here. With Mercury retrograde in Taurus this is also about being clear with yourself, about what ‘success’ or ‘achievement’ means for you personally, as this can be quite different from person to person. It’s about the things that really matter in the end. You could find yourself discussing plans for the future; creating a new plan; setting an example for others to follow; or learning how to communicate more effectively with others. Some possible intentions to be sown with the New Moon on Monday might be: May I be led to realize my life’s path and purpose; or: May I take the best steps that will allow me to further develop my talents and share these with the world at large.

Libra

(9th House) For Libra the New Moon in Gemini is an opportunity to expand your knowledge and understanding of yourself, the world, and what your positions are. In order to arrive at that, Libra is often confronted with the idea of looking at ideas and beliefs from another point of view. The intention therefore is to gain a much broader view, and to see both sides of a story or argument. This can then help you to redefine what you do or do not believe. Libra takes pride in being able to see both sides of a situation clearly and objectively. Use the New Moon on Monday to become more informed. To learn something new. To expand your horizons in some way. Take a class on philosophy. Go on a journey. Ask questions, and be willing to debate your own point of view. If an idea is sound, it will be capable of standing up against even the most rigorous of arguments. A good intention for the New Moon in Gemini might be: May I be led to increase my understanding and to become better informed about the world I am engaged in.

Scorpio

(8th House) For Scorpio, the New Moon in Gemini can bring up topics surrounding beginnings and endings, renewal, revival and the profound recurring cycles that we are compelled to engage in. This includes the cycle of reciprocity: giving and receiving; lending and borrowing; attraction and repulsion. Within this context, things you might want to focus on with the New Moon might be: breaking things down in order to rebuild them; physical therapy; creating better habits to replace those that are holding you back; making resolutions for healing and renewal. This is also where we prepare for the future, create plans, make agreements, sign contracts and wade through our own psychological baggage in the process. Ultimately it is the time of year in which you come to realize what those things are that you need from others, whether that be support, security or confirmation. Therefore a good intention for the New Moon on Monday might be: May I have the confidence and understanding to know and ask for what I need.

Sagittarius

(7th House) When the New Moon is in Gemini, it places the emphasis for Sagittarius on partners and the important other people in your life. Things you might find yourself preoccupied with are: creating more equanimity in partnerships and close relationships; getting advice from a specialist; being open to starting a new relationship or commitment; renewing vows or making promises to others. This is a good time to facilitate: being a mentor for others; helping others to recognize their skills; going on an interview; opening up communications with others. The inclination with Mars and Jupiter in Aries is to plow ahead. But this New Moon with Mercury in Retrograde is suggesting to take the advice of others who know, and have your best interests at heart. There may be things that are not yet totally clear, and you will want to make sure that you have all the facts before you go jumping in to the pool. A good intention for the New Moon in Gemini might be: May I be open to communicating and sharing with others without judgment. Or: May I be able to skillfully help and teach others with clarity and understanding.

Capricorn

(6th House) The New Moon in Gemini often finds Capricorn paying attention to their health and well-being. That includes getting the best advice, or learning about a specific health condition. But it can also be about exploring those things that support your health and well-being. Capricorn likes being informed. Therefore ask questions, read articles, have conversations with the experts. The more informed you are the better able you will be to be in charge of the outcomes. And also knowing what or who might be the best healer or healing method for you. It is also a Moon in which Capricorn finds themselves looking for more efficient ways to do their work, create better work conditions, or to improve their work space. All in all this is a good Moon to: learn more about a health condition; begin a new diet or exercise regimen; gather information about wellness, remedies, recipes and vitamins; learn a new and practical skill; get to know your co-workers. Some possible intentions for the New Moon on Monday might be: May I find the best healer, advice, or healing modality that works for me and my situation; Or: I want to see me further perfecting useful skills.

Aquarius

(5th House) For Aquarius the New Moon in Gemini brings attention to those things that allow you to shine. This Moon wants you to focus on those things and people that make you happy, and allows your heart to sing. It is also a good time to focus on those things that are unique about yourself, or makes you feel special. And if you were to define your own unique brand and style, what would that be for you? What makes you stand out? Gemini is the way that Aquarius loves to play, whether that be in critical banter, finishing that crossword puzzle, or allowing the creative muse to take you where you need to go. This is about connecting with those people and things that bring you a special sort of joy. Use the Moon to do something fun and different. Spend some time with children or young people. Go on a date. Take a new class, or join the gym. Move, dance, sing and laugh. Then make the intention with the New Moon on Monday to say: I want any resistance, or obstacles to joy and happiness lifted from me.

Pisces

(4th House) For Pisces, the New Moon in Gemini is a good moon to initiate new changes and improvements in and around the home and/or family. Inspiration is more likely to be found at home, and you could find yourself with the inclination to rearrange the bookshelves, opening your home up to others, or having deep intellectual discussions while doing the dishes. Make a commitment with the New Moon on Monday to spend more time with family, or focus on home and your personal community and foundations. Use the Moon to explore your family heritage, revisit personal traditions, and make your home environment more comfortable and interesting. New Moons are about new beginnings, so this is a good time to initiate new beginnings concerning home and/or family relations, whether that means looking for a new home, fixing up the one you have, calling people back home, or coming to terms with those things that bring you a feeling of belonging. This can also be a good time to bring closure to a situation. Especially so with Mercury still retrograde. A good intention with this Moon might be: I want to better appreciate the patterns and events in my life that have led me to where I am now.
