For the week of May 29th thru June 5th, be sure to read your Rising Sign as well:
Tempers and impatience continue to simmer all week. They are coming to a head by the Full Moon on the 5th (6th) if they aren’t already. Full Moons are like that any way. That one is also a partial eclipse, and so has this extra edge to it. So do keep an eye on these, as many tempers are in danger of boiling over, and people will be prone to melting down. But there are also times when it just seems appropriate to be a little righteous and indignant.
One of the things we’re all coming to realize over the course of the week, and Aries is certainly no exception, are those things that we care enough about, that we are passionate enough about, to put ourselves on the line, and take some sort of stand. Whether it’s a higher cause, the greater good, the general welfare, there are some things that simply cannot be ignored. And as usual, Aries is ready, willing and able to be there on the front lines as needed. Hell, they’re usually carrying the banner.
If you find yourself indecisive, remember that you don’t need to decide just yet. It’s difficult to make plans when the future is uncertain. In fact it’s probably a good idea not to. Venus is still retrograde, and it’s not recommended to commit or invest in anything outrageous just yet. What Venus retrograde is good for is getting in touch with your priorities and those things that you really do value. Those things that you are really passionate about, believe in, and care about. And it is also about reminding yourself of those things that make your heart sing and make you feel good about yourself. That also means weeding out those obligations and entanglements that aren’t. And if you are still muddling about what you should or should not do, remind yourself: is this something that you need? will this improve your life in some way? is this in alignment with your true values? is it worth it to you?
You may not even have that much to say, but you would appreciate just having a conversation, hear someone laugh at your jokes, maybe share a little back and forth banter. Hear about someone’s day. Tell them about yours. Even if there isn’t much to say. Sometimes you just want to hear someone’s voice. In person. So you take all the precautions. And you have your priorities in place. But there’s also the nuances of looking someone in the eye, and getting to sympathize, empathize, get where they’re coming from. Share their concerns. For a Gemini that’s what makes the world go round. So even if you have to place your lawn chairs 6 feet apart, and even if you don’t have that much to say, and even if you don’t agree, you’re going to say it any way. And with empathy and endearing enthusiasm.
As we begin this week, Mercury has just entered your sign. And it will be here for a much longer time than it normally would, due to its retrograde cycle coming up in the middle of June. Both Mercury and the sign Cancer have much to do with our minds. But Cancer has more to do with the sorts of memories and thoughts that are interlaced with our emotions and feelings. Things like nostalgia, instincts, intuition, and even things as simple as natural common sense are the hallmarks of Mercury in Cancer. You will probably find your mind wandering back in time as we enter June and the retrograde shadow. It will be a gradual process. But in these weeks that Venus is still in its retrograde cycle, and Mercury is poised to enter its own, some surprisingly meaningful contacts can be made with others, if only because it becomes that much easier to merely speak heart to heart. And with meaning.
Sometimes you just have to have your say, and tell people exactly how it is. And sometimes you don’t need to say anything. And sometimes you need to retreat. And sometimes you just need to weed out your lists on social media and cull out the noise rattlers and virulent trolls from your life. It’s called peace of mind. Sometimes you’re in the mood for that back and forth banter. But sometimes you can’t even hear yourself think, what with all the meaningless chatter and posturing. And you realize it’s well nigh time to turn down the negative noise level, and tune in to your own mind, your own creative imagination. You will find that it is much more interesting, more vast, than a lot of what is going on out there any way. This doesn’t mean you don’t want to occasionally engage with those who continue to feed and inspire your mind. You’re probably still going to want some of that. It’s the negative distractions that are going to need to be monitored. And you’ll be so glad that you did.
There’s a lot of angst in the world right now. And some of it is for good reason. Especially when it becomes apparent that not everyone seems to be sharing the same values. Their values might be revolving around themselves, but not necessarily being concerned about anyone else. And sometimes, even mild mannered humble Virgo, needs to have a good righteous rant going on. Because sometimes you just have to make your point. And sometimes you just gotta let off some of that steam that’s been building up on the back burner. Make your point. Make it clear. And then also make it a point to make a hasty retreat back to sanity as soon as you are able. For one thing is clear. Putting the fear of G*d in everyone is exhausting and nerve rattling business. It has to get done every now and then. But then you need to find a safe place to soothe those shattered nerves.
Hell’s Bells. Libra usually tries to avoid using salty language, but even level-headed Libra will not be immune this week as Mars in righteous Pisces sits in the cross hairs. Mars is our inner warrior, and currently traveling in the boundless waters of Pisces we’ll all be simmering on the back burner. Almost anyone can get set off in this weather given the right circumstances. That’s okay. Sometimes when we get a little pissed off it lets us know where essential changes need to be made. It lets us know that our boundaries have been breached. And compels us to look for ways to restore some balance in our lives. It also lets us know what we feel really passionate about. For when your back is against the wall, and push comes to shove, what are those things that you are willing to fight for and put yourself on the line for?
When Mars is in Pisces, as it is now, we are brought back to principles, and confronted with the futility and despair of our ideals. We begin to wonder if the promise of a better world is actually possible, or was it all just a pipe dream? Some sort of delusional state? There can be feelings of futility and despair, as we see our dreams shattered. And that is where we all are right about now. Finding our ideals, our beliefs, our values challenged in extraordinary ways. And it can be maddening. We are navigating some pretty edgy and angry weather this week, so we would all be wise to handle it carefully. This is like a live wire of energy that’s ready to ignite. Positively this Mars weather can bring us the motivation and courage to tackle challenges we would normally avoid. Nonetheless, even there, everything needs to be handled with kid gloves.
The world is like a tinder box that’s about ready to explode. So we’re all being asked to tread lightly, and avoid needlessly pushing any buttons without thinking. One thoughtless comment or impulsive action in this weather is enough to create the sort of mess that will take weeks, if not months, to sort out. Mars in Pisces can bring disappointment, heartbreak and righteous anger, as we see our dreams compromised. Aggravated by next week’s Lunar Eclipse there’s bound to be a lot of unrest. And it’s good to know who you can or cannot depend on to be there to support you when push comes to shove. Who are your allies? And who will be there to fight with you for the causes that you truly believe in? Who can you really count on to be on your side?
No one is exempt from the righteous anger that a lot of people are experiencing. Whether because they find themselves having to defend their beliefs and their principles, or because they are having to contend with some loose canons in their lives. We’re all navigating treacherous territory. But if we veer on the side of caution and stick to our principles, remembering what it means to do the right thing, then we are likely to avoid the potential land mines in our path. And now that Mercury has entered Cancer it gives us this special secret power, that Capricorn will be positioned to take advantage of. And that is being required of you to get access to this secret power is to be willing to pause, and take the time to not only listen and hear what other people have to say, but also to understand where they are coming from. That mutual understanding can bridge divides and help to resolve a myriad of challenges going forward.
With all the turmoil bubbling up and coming to the surface, you might find that a lot of it has to do with values and conflicting priorities. When push comes to shove we are all being forced to reevaluate what our core values are these days. All the more so with all the astrological weather taking place. There will be issues in the world at large, that can spill over into your personal life as well. And you may find that there are certain of these issues that you are more passionate about than others. Those are the ones that you are being called to take a stand on. There may be many to choose from. And it may be that you are needing to take care of the issues that just land in your lap. But there are also those timely issues that strike a chord. And those are the ones you are being asked to take notice of.
You know the world is a mess when Pisces gets pissed off. They’re rolling up their yoga mats and chanting all the way to city hall along with the rest of us. This is because the issues that arise and motivate us when Mars is in your sign, are universal causes that so many of us relate to and can get behind. Pisces is a sign of compassion and sensitivity, and as they see their ideals being threatened and shattered, they will be there on the front lines, right alongside Aries (!) in the fight for justice and righteousness. There are some things that Pisces simply will not sit idly by for. So in the throes of the Mars in Pisces squares, we are all being asked to step up to the plate; or at the very least, identify those causes that you are most passionate about. And admit to the world, “I’m mad as hell, and I’m not going to allow this to happen any more.” Then unroll your yoga mat and recenter. We’ll need you there for the next round.
ॐ Namasté - Blessings!
