8/2 ~ Sun (source & essential Self) ~square~ Uranus (awakening & radical shift): As with any Uranus activation, this one disrupts the normal flow to facilitate a ‘break to realign’ moment. While sometimes disruptive & challenging, the ultimate result is usually refreshing in some kind of way. Consider the energy that thickens, gathering for a severe thunderstorm, then releasing buckets of rain, for hours, you sleep deeply and awaken to a bright sunny morning with birds chirping unusually loud outside your window. This activation is the necessary challenge that gets your attention that something better is available, if you’re willing to improvise and think on your feet. If you’ve been unusually restricted in some way, you may feel restless. Rather than being reactive to the unexpected shift (within or without), it’s best to take a pause for the cause, step back and try to gain some perspective. Remember to be present, too far in the past can be depressing and too far into the future, and you cause your Self unnecessary anxiety. Breathe, be under the sky, invite clarity about the next step and trust your gut. This energy, while sometimes uncomfortable and often sudden, is very necessary to disrupt any illusions/delusions you may be holding on to. It’s time to express your Self in all new ways.

8/3 ~ Mercury (ideas, thoughts & concepts) ~oppose~ Saturn (reality & physical limitations):
Here the opposition is between your thoughts and your reality or current responsibilities. It’s also about your mental and physical getting integrated on some level. Are you working too hard, causing mental or physical exhaustion? Are you too stuck in idea-mode, delaying actions and actual commitments? It’s time to take a realistic look at your life to see where you could change your mind and your reality would follow. You may find yourself asking what your truth and purpose really are or you may be concerned about how to provide for your very basic, essential needs and why you have been constantly limited in that way. Everything can seem bleak and depressing but really it is just the Universe’s way of getting your attention and helping you to focus on what really matters to you. You’re being pushed to think of new ways to function on a practical level. You may feel like leaving a mate or partner at this time, but it’s not really the best time to actually act on this impulse. Wait until this energy passes and give your Self some time to clear that negative thinking that is actually coloring your judgment at this time. If you feel this way in another week or two then begin to plan releasing this person or situation in the healthiest, most compassionate possible way so as not to create more karma that YOU will have to deal with later. What this energy is good for is giving you the ability to see what is wrong and connect to a positive, realistic way of creating change for the better. 8/3 ~ Full Moon in AQUARIUS:
It’s good to know the Houses in your chart being affected as those will represent the Areas of Life being affected (reach out if you need help figuring out what that is for you). So this Full Moon asks: What have you become “too” attached to? And/or what have you become “too” detached from (and need to reconnect)? We have spent recent months navigating the Mutable energy of thought & ideas (Gemini), along with the Cardinal energy of action & choices (Cancer), whose theme continues but now the energy has become decidedly Fixed and it is time to anchor something … in your Heart (Leo). What ideas have you gotten going that need some tending to make stronger & more viable?

This lunation may illuminate or activate revelations of when, where and with whom (mostly Self) you have not been completely (if at all) authentic. Start with the *motivations* ~ if/when they are pure, clean & neutral, then being authentic becomes less challenging. But when you are not authentic, things become more challenging. Now more than ever, we must be congruent with our Inner & Outer Natures in order to thrive, prosper & evolve. If we are “serving two masters” (or incongruent on one or many levels) ~ having the private side of your nature be too drastically different from that which you present to the world ~ then you’re going to have challenges, blockages and delays until you get into more alignment. Leo energy teaches us all how to BE it (that Authentic Self), not just “appear” to be it; it asks that you know who you are (then next month, Virgo will perfect it ;-)). 8/4 ~ Mars (passion & desire) ~square~ Jupiter (enthusiasm & excess):

This energy can be expressed one of two ways (like most) – you can over-extend your Self and your resources being overly optimistic without actually doing any planning or work, relying on luck alone and unfortunately, this expression will basically make you pay double (in more ways than one) down the road. The better way to express this energy is to think of what you are doing today that can benefit you in the future. You have access to foresight, so use it to foresee what your ultimate goal is and what steps you can take today to make that happen. Focus on what can be, rather than what is right now. You also have access to increased energy and desire to push your own limits (consciously or not), which can be useful but not if you overdo it, then you defeat the whole purpose. Calculated risk is okay – impulsive reactions – not-so-much. This is also the energy of when things are good – they are very good but when they are bad, they are terrible! So keep it positive, stay focused and balance your input with your output – mentally, emotionally and physically.

8/4 ~ Mercury Enters LEO:
Mercury has been rewiring our thinking & consciousness in the Cancer Dept of life since May 28th. This whole year, Mercury Retrogrades in Water Signs asking us to tune into our feelings & emotions and re-wire the connections so our Mind & Heart ~ our Thinking & Feelings ~ are all in alignment and working toward common goals and not against each other. As it shifts into Leo, we can start to make new connections to how we’d like to express ourselves now that we’ve been recalibrated on an internal level. Naturally, the external will begin to reflect the upgrade to your consciousness. It’s time to get creative and be open, optimistic, playful & detached from outcome as you play with new ways of communicating with others and expressing your Self in a more authentic way.

8/6 ~ LEO/Lion’s Gate of Power/Cross Qtr:
This is the MidPoint of whatever you got going 6-months ago, in Feb 2020 at the Aquarius Gate. Do you remember “Crossing Borders” 6-months or 1-year ago? (some of you got those readings then and can refer back to them now for new insights). Think: 9-mo gestation process for year 2020, you have nurtured & developed something over the last 9-months that is about to need some physical space to exist. Aug/Sept is all about preserving what is growing strong, solid, useful & nourishing … while releasing density, weight & excess to be composted into something more useful in the season to come. It’s a time of cleansing & purification, as well as gratitude & celebration, in anticipation of the Fall Equinox season of Harvest. Some call this the Pre-Harvest because you can get a jump-start on assessing the year – if you’ve completed your “clearing & releasing” process. If not, then this is the final *purge* in preparation for the Harvest Season.

8/7 ~ Venus Enters CANCER:
Venus has been lingering in the Gemini since April 3rd and recalibrating the values & priorities in that department of life (House), especially where our relationships & finances are concerned. This always coincides with an evolution in the consciousness on individual, social & collective levels ~ all at the same time, which is a lot for our little human selves to process. But this is a chance to activate our imaginations and explore possibilities that have never been available until now. It’s also a chance to re-dream our lives on absolutely every single level. The Sacred Feminine is reminding us that we are Infinite Beings and can choose in every moment how to respond to what life is presenting. Part of being on Earth is being adaptable and dealing with the ecology within and around you. Now, as she finally moves on and officially gets the new cycle of possibilities underway, her first stop is in Cancer to soothe our nervous systems, reassure us and replenish our energies after a life-changing ride called 2020. The “value & priority” until Sept 6th is self-care and personal tending to that which allows you to function as a human being in the most basic ways. We are going to go forward, and release old thinking, old consciousness and the old story between now and Spring Equinox 2021. So I recommend you strengthen & fortify yourself internally & privately – especially during these months that Mars is retrograde and “actions & choices” are restricted in the outer world anyway – turn your focus inward and re-set your individual system so that you are better able to step up and into the NEW STORY come Spring/Summer of 2021, when new movement will be possible and new choices will be available.
