We continue to be in a particularly strange time. In early August, Mercury’s transit of the end of Leo created a Yod with quincunxes to first Neptune at 26 Leo/Pisces and then Pluto at 28 Leo/Capricorn.

We got preliminary signs and signals related to that “multiple expansion through sacrifice” energy then, followed by Mercury activating the Grand Irrationality. The Sun is now making the same aspects, illuminating and vitalizing this important phase in our global field.

As I gave you in the article when Mercury made this transit, a Yod involves a sextile with a third planet at the inverse midpoint making quincunxes to the planets in sextile. The Sun has been quincunx Neptune at 25 Pisces since August 15, and has been quincunx Pluto at 27 Capricorn between August 16-21. Quincunxes involve lots of adjustments and squeezing out of obsolete or unnecessary factors to achieve a closer focus in expressing the energy of the planet which is the nozzle of the configuration, in this case the Sun. And as I noted in the Mercury Yod article, anyone with a planet around 24-28 Leo has an ongoing Yod made by transiting Neptune and Pluto. I’ve written extensively about the Grand Irrationality in countless articles since this column began. We had the First GI from about 1994-2017 when Neptune septiled Pluto; that gave way to the Grand Irrationality V.2, with Uranus septile Neptune which is still in play today. Any time a planet transits any of the 7 “hot zones” of this powerful evolutionary configuration, choices and changes are set into motion determining the future “destiny” of whatever is activated by these 7th harmonic aspects to Uranus and Neptune. The Sun will transit 28 Leo through 2 Virgo in the immediate period ahead, and during this time it will triseptile Neptune and biseptile Uranus (and then Mars!) Whatever Mercury “heralded” when it first transited this zone, the Sun now brings us the Light of important choices and changes. Eventually when Venus transits this sector and activates the configuration a final time in late August and early September, we’ll get the appreciation or value of these changes.

So if you’re wondering why things are a bit strange right now, it’s because you’ve gotten signs and signals about releasing something, or taking energy and applying it in specific forms, or moving from “ruling” to “serving.” Now we visit that energy again, accompanied with the forming Sun square Mars! As squares demand action, whether turning a corner or putting on the brakes, get ready to use your Fixed sign skills appropriately as you move into a new cooperative group involvement!
