Saturn Stationary Direct at 26 Capricorn

Saturn went stationary direct on September 28/29. What more can we expect as we close in on the Grand Mutation at 1 Aquarius in late December?

Saturn just resumed its forward motion, and will re-trace ground it covered since it went stationary retrograde in mid-May 2020 at 2 Aquarius, launching us into a season of being “galvanized to action through spectacular developments liberating us from adverse conditions.” We now commence our third experience of the Saturn lessons associated with the span from 26 Capricorn- 2 Aquarius, which includes the individual, mental, and spiritual levels of the last half of Capricorn, and the actional-physical “face” and the personal, physical, and material face of the first half of Aquarius.

What Have We Learned from Saturn in Capricorn and Aquarius in 2020?

We took our first look at the span between February and mid-May 2020, when it went stationary retrograde at 2 Aquarius. Then we got our retrograde look of Saturn in that span of Aquarius and Capricorn through now, and now have begun our third experience of this span which will last until January 4, 2021, when it passes out of its shadow zone and moves into its occupancy of the first half of Aquarius through January 2022.

In May we were introduced to Saturn’s main lessons for 2020 at its retrograde station. As I told you, we’ve all been mobilized to be liberated from some adverse condition in some way wherever we have 2 Aquarius. This began the structuring of a greater contribution we’re preparing to accept in 2021 and beyond. For the next 3 months, we’re finishing up the old Capricorn individual spiritual business so we can move into a greater ideal of group work in 2021.

Having been exposed to the themes of 26 Capricorn through 2 Aquarius twice since February, we now revisit them a third time, and get to show our skill as a result of our practice these past 8 months. We now know what roles we are to play as individual Spirits in the material world, and have been roused to be free of things we no longer need in our life.

We’re now moving into an entirely different level of social-spiritual activity where we know what we’re supposed to do and what responsibilities are ours to fulfill. We’ve seen a vaster vision or a better way to contribute to our lives and/or our world, we’ve encountered those with power in that area, and learned forms of “clairvoyance” and “clairaudience.” We have seen and met other truth seekers on the same mountain we all share, and learned to experience the World Soul by our sensitivity to its fluidity.

We now can move forward, comfortable in our expertise, knowing we in fact are treading a greater way. The rehearsals of 2019 are done, and we’re about to be opened to a greater field of group effectiveness, as idealism and building for the future will soon prevail in the atmosphere. We now can use our understanding to apply our Saturn power in more concentrated and effective ways as a result of recent Virgo transits all trine Saturn, showing us a higher truth and vision of how to ground our heart’s desire.

I gave you the themes of the coming months in the article Evolutionary Spiritual Astrology in Autumn 2020 –Saturn Stationary Direct Pt. 1, This final pass through the end of Capricorn will entail using our understanding wisely, since Mars in Aries has now made its second square to Saturn requiring a lot of self-discipline and precise actions perfectly balanced in a defensive stance!

Still, it’s good Mars square Saturn is now past, and Saturn can move forward with that tension in the rear view mirror. This completes the intensity of the conflict which began in late July, and all in all, by late October and all of November Saturn will receive some very favorable aspects, promising some very productive and specialized circumstances, as well as gifts.

By December 1, Saturn is at 29 Capricorn, and enters Aquarius December 16/17. It is joined by Jupiter entering Aquarius December 19, and they conjunct on the Solstice at 10:21 am PDT, 6:21 pm GMT December 21, just over 8 hours after the Sun enters Capricorn. This conjunction is the beginning of two centuries of Jupiter and Saturn conjuncting in Air signs, and this one’s Aquarius! As I’ve told you, while this isn’t the beginning of the Age of Aquarius, it marks one more major 20 year “pulse” which heralds the Pluto in Aquarius era coming in about 3 years!

Even though we enter a 20 year era with dominant Aquarius themes, because of the multiple conjunctions in late Capricorn in January and March, we will still have Capricorn strong in our systems for some years to come. As they were set into motion by Mars in March 2020, we still have a long way to go before we see even the initial fulfillment of those energies.

Right now Mars has made waxing squares to all those conjunction points, as well as Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto in late Capricorn, showing the friction related to the “first emergence” of those long wave structures. Once Mars goes direct in mid-November, it will again make waxing squares to all the conjunction points and transiting Pluto, releasing more of those seeds. As Mars makes biseptiles, tredeciles, and trines to those points from Taurus, we will see a lot of those systems built in 2020 to take expression in some very favorable ways!

Saturn’s Stationary Direct Sabian Symbol

When a planet goes stationary direct, that degree becomes a platform for what happens next, as well as a “hot spot” that gets triggered with each subsequent conjunction to that point. Saturn’s Sabian symbol will therefore dominate the rest of this year as a primary influence in cultivating our authorship of our life and control over circumstances. It will also be a platform that will ground our efforts in 2021, so learn all you can from this energy that has dominated the landscape since early September, and will persist in direct occupancy through the end of October.

The Sabian Symbol for the 26th degree of Capricorn is “A water sprite.” In the original Jones class notes published by Rudhyar in his masterwork The Astrology of Personality, Rudhyar says this is a degree of “transcendence of spirit over body and environment,” lightness of understanding,” “inexhaustible soul resources,” and “effervescence.”

In his Astrological Mandala, we are told that this degree refers to “the ability to perceive the hidden and creative spirit of natural phenomena.” He states this degree is related to the World Soul, as well as nature spirits that are associated with the natural cycle of water in the biosphere. “Water binds all living cells in a wholesome interplay,” and “symbolizes the constant flow of vital energies” as they relate to universal processes.

He further tells us this symbol is about “a deep intuition of superphysical energies” which are to be mastered, so that our “consciousness becomes sensitized to the downward flow of occult energy in its bountiful natural aspect.” So the illumination available via this Full Moon is through the light of a fluidity of consciousness revealing an element of the world soul, where we understand vaster soul resources and a new transcendent understanding. This degree falls in the Span of Dependence, and is the initial degree in the Scene of Group Performance on the individual-mental level of the Act of Capitalization.

Dr. Marc E Jones, creator of the Sabian Symbols, says this is a degree of “pure mastery of experience in its inner or spiritual aspect,” where “pure integrity of self asserts itself as a protection against blind or inept participation in the current course of events, and calls for a conscious self=idealization in even the most unimportant or transient functions of life.” He states “spontaneity is demanded as a necessary quickening to values.”

He offers us the keyword RESTLESSNESS. He states that when operating in a positive manner, this degree is “an exceptional sensitiveness to overall implications and high skill in avoiding drab or common place involvements.”

So as we stand on the platform from which Saturn will move forward, we can and will experience a foundation of learning to open to a greater individual function within a larger group performance, and mastering experience through our spiritual discipline. Follow the restlessness, and you will sense the world Soul you’re a part of. Here we have the power to break free of “drab or commonplace involvements” and participate in a greater fluidity of consciousness.

From Here We Move Forward

Saturn now resumes its journey at the initial degree of the individual, mental, and spiritual level of the Scene of “Group Performance,” or second half of Capricorn. That makes Saturn the ruler of its domain, and as it’s in the third decan of Capricorn it takes on a sub-influence of Virgo, making our understanding more precise and refined.

So take a deep breath, and take another look at the themes introduced at the beginning of 2020. We’ve now all gotten a different look at those themes, and stand ready to move forward with expertise, discipline, and a sense of having grown wherever we have 26 Capricorn through 2 Aquarius in our charts. As I noted in part 1, now that it moves forward it prepares for the tremendous conflict with Uranus in Taurus which will test our discipline, idealism, nobility, heart power, and ability to control magnetism.

The waning trine between Saturn and Uranus in 2017-2018 offered us a long wave harmony and stabilized relationship between the forces of Structure and the forces of Revolution. 2017’s Fire trines provided inspiration and illumination related to the spiritual force we grounded in 2018 when these two powerhouses were in the Earth signs of Taurus and Capricorn.

During those years we blended past and future together to craft our future destiny in conscious ways. Their 2017 Fire trines stabilized Electric Fire and distributive “Fire by Friction,” which led naturally to the 2018 Earth trine helping us ground our efforts in practical ways. Saturn helps us give form and structure to our quest for Self-realization, and in Capricorn, teaches us how to construct an “organized personal structure” to the Uranian energies making our spiritual life come alive.

In 2019 Saturn’s tredecile and biseptile to Uranus unleashed highly specialized energies as we awakened to “a new quality of being, rendering the old patterns obsolete.” We returned to Source, and in Spring 2020 “graduated into a new realm,” spreading our Spiritual Wings and doing our test flight. The new experiences of 2019-2020 are throwing us into radical new futures in 2021 and beyond.
