Taurus

Dreams and visions can inspire you to reach for higher goals; provided they are also practically grounded in reality, or at least something closely resembling it. Also buyer beware: things may not be worth all that they are being promoted to be. However, do pay attention to why you want that item. What is it about that thing or vision that you want so much to fulfill? For Taurus, the New Moon in Aquarius is about bringing yourself more in alignment with your goals for the future: What is it that you want to be known for? For what do you wish to be respected? Gemini

That kind of sums up the weekend and Friday’s New Moon in Aquarius. For Gemini, the New Moon in Aquarius is about daring to expand your vision of yourself and the role you might play in the world. Perhaps due to an unexpected turn of events you are almost forced out into the world to then find yourself again. One thing you may explore is how previously held ideas about yourself may have been preventing you from broadening your horizons. Something may need to be released in order for you to grow. A good intention for this New Moon might be: May I have the wisdom and clarity to recognize my true path, and then have the courage to take it. 

Cancer

For Cancer, the New Moon in Aquarius can be a turning point in the year. This would be all the more so with the New Moon square Uranus; and could be accompanied with the realization that it’s time to make a new resolution about the direction that your life has been taking. This certainly can and should include resolutions for healing and renewal. You might even want to ask yourself: what needs to be released in order to have more control over my own health, wealth and destiny? Saturday, find the courage of your voice, in order to express your needs to others. On Tuesday, find some time in your busy schedule for reflection, meditation and soulful reverie. Allowing yourself to do so will help you to connect with your inner intuitive guides, who are urging you to find your way forward. 

Leo

For Leo New Moon in Aquarius places the emphasis on others: New beginnings in relationships and partners; breathing new life into the relationship you currently have; starting a new relationship that brings a resurgence of energy and healing back into your life. You might want to ask yourself: who are those individuals that you find particularly inspiring right now? In some way you might be shown that you don’t have to keep doing things the way you have in the past; that there are alternatives and new possibilities to be explored. And you might also want to explore, who are those people that make you feel comfortable in your skin. These are the people who help you to accept and embrace your own human experience for what it is, all in all. These are the sorts of people that you want more of in your life. 

Virgo

Get your batteries recharged over the weekend. Do some weekend warrior stuff, and get the energy and blood flowing. It will help to fuel any intentions or resolutions seeded with the New Moon in Aquarius. For Virgo this Moon puts emphasis on your health, well-being, your daily routines and work environment. Work on creating initiatives that will better support your health and well-being. What changes would you like to see added to your daily routine and regimen? Would you like to exercise more? Eat more consciously and conscientiously? Is there a more efficient way to approach your work schedule? What could you do to instill some inspiration in your daily routines and activities? Libra

The weather this week is great for masquerades and performances, but otherwise rife with distraction and daydreams. Might just want to give in to it when and where you can. Seek moments to surrender to the dreaminess: take time out for that movie you’ve been wanting to see; get lost in a fantasy; feed your imagination; dance at the office, move to the rhythm and just be. This New Moon is all about finding your creative center any way! Go for it. You’ll catch up with work later… well, um.. maybe. Indulge your psyche any way. 

Scorpio

Generally you are not going to want to take no for an answer this week; and other people’s ambiguity and evasiveness could get on your last nerve, and lead to misunderstandings. Just make sure that you are both on the same page. On the other hand, what you can learn from others, is that you don’t always have to do things the same way that you have in the past. What might you want to change in order for you to lead a more authentic lifestyle, more akin to your own unique character and interests? If you are interested in doing intentions or seeding initiatives, the New Moon in Aquarius is a good moon for Scorpio to focus on areas related to home, family, property and those people and things who serve as your support systems. It can also be a great Moon to tackle a habit, or release some old baggage. A good intention for this New Moon might be: I want to better appreciate the patterns and events in my life that have led me to where I am now. 

Sagittarius

Sagittarius is courageously tackling all comers this week. Mars has you energized and ready to roll. However you may also find yourself second-guessing your goals when you find yourself unsupported in your endeavors. Rather than confronting people directly, let things blow over. Pushing your luck will only find you scrambling for dry land. On the other hand, the New Moon in Aquarius is usually a great moon for Sagittarius to figure out better ways to manage your time; but it’s an even better time to learn something new: Take up a new study, learn a new skill; make yourself informed on a specific subject. But perhaps the one area where you will learn the most is through your daily interactions with others, where conversations could prove to be both enlightening and inspiring. All the more so if you are willing to be open to alternative points of view. 

Capricorn

For Capricorn, the New Moon in Aquarius is about exploring those things that you value the most: Exploring your priorities; Making those things that you value the most a higher priority in your life; and investing in your own self-worth. Ask yourself: what are those things and activities that you would most like to invest and spend your precious time, money and resources on? That will help you to focus on what you consider to be your top priorities right now; and what you need to do or receive in order to make these a closer reality. And then when you do explore your priorities, you may decide to readjust where and how you spend money in order to focus on the things that really matter now. Also, look for inspiration for creative ways to earn new sources of income. A good intention for this moon might be: May I be able to more easily prioritize those things which are most meaningful to me. 

Aquarius 

The New Moon on Friday is in your sign, and will be strongest for those Aquarians born between the 21st and 27th of January, or who have the first 8º of Aquarius Rising, however all Aquarians will be sensitive to this New Moon. It is indeed a moon of New Beginnings for you. It is the start of a new cycle, or recommitting to those things where you wish to continue to grow. Seeds and initiatives planted with this moon may not come to fruition right away, as these will need the correct conditions to ripen. But without the seeds there will be no fruit. So why not plant the best seeds for the most propitious crops? Think about what you might want to achieve or aspire to over the year ahead. And think about what initiative you might want to seed that will promote a more authentic or genuine sense of self-expression. Therefore a good intention to begin with might be: May I be open to being a truer and more authentic expression of myself. 

Pisces

Although the world at large may not give you the opportunity to do so, this is a prime week for Piscean reverie, distraction and romance. Unfortunately the world beckons, and there is not much you can do to escape. Nonetheless there are still opportunities to find inspiration wherever and however you can this week: connecting to your dreams; taking time out of your busy day to meditate and connect with yourself; listening to music; reading a great book. For Pisces, the New Moon in Aquarius is about letting go and releasing those things that you have outgrown, and are no longer necessary for where you are now. This can be literal, as in doing a Marie Condo with your belongings; but it can also be about letting go of things that you’ve been holding on to in your mind and heart. An inner personal awareness can create some sort of breakthrough, that can ultimately be both inspiring and liberating.
