It’s Winter Solstice 2022 in the North, Summer Solstice Down Under!
Category: Astrological News Written by Robert Wilkinson

This is an extremely important time of the year in both hemispheres!
Today is a time to focus on what you want to see made manifest in the coming season and year, and what you want to see leave your lives because you don’t need or want it any more. For those who are new to the site, or just checking in, today we offer one way it’s done which has worked for me over the decades.
I explained the quality of this Solstice and the ways it will impact us in the future in this article, along with a link to an article explaining why the Northern Hemisphere Winter Solstice and the Southern Hemisphere Summer Solstice share some things in common:
Happy Winter Solstice 2022 – Pt. 1
In part two, I gave you the Sabian Symbols for the Sun’s ruler in the Solstice chart as well as the Moon, since these two energies have major sway over how the next season and year will manifest. The second part of the article explains a great Solstice ritual for cleaning out the old and welcoming the new! Give it a try, since it really will produce obvious effects according to the nature of your intention!
I’ll close with this: To answer a question asked in previous Solstices, yes, you can do this ritual at any point before, during, or after the Solstice. Even if you can't do it on December 21, just find a time, clear your head space, make your lists, and offer your burnt sacrifices to Father Time and Mother Earth. A sincere desire to eliminate the old or welcome the new is sure to be heard by the Cosmos, since you and Cosmos are inextricably linked through all time.
So in this time of transition from the old year into the Winter of the new, take a moment to note what has left your life the past year, thus creating space for that which is more appropriate to your evolution and well-being. And if you feel like doing a Solstice ritual, whether this one or another, open to your greatest good and highest possibility of happiness, and you just may find a measure of that in the coming year.
As "they" say, Mahalo, Aloha, Namaskarams, Aum Namah Shivaya, Happy and Merry Solstice, Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmastide, Joyous Christ Mass, and Happy New Year!
