Chiron is now at the last degree of Pisces. That’s the last degree of the zodiac, as well as the last degree of a very sensitive sign. At 29 degrees of Pisces, things reach an extreme, and when it’s Chiron that’s in these murky waters, we’re likely to be feeling emotional matters very strongly.
From now until February 18th, when the centaur moves into Aries, we’ll be reviewing the past. Past hurts, past mistakes, past losses. Yes, there will be plenty of other things going on as well - things that are upbeat, energizing, and even fun.
But Chiron at the last degree of Pisces reminds us that there is unfinished business in our emotional economies. Like a bit of sand in your shoe, you can’t forget it for long, and you can’t be entirely comfortable with it there.
We went through this before, in the spring of 2018, and then again later in the year when Chiron retrograded out of Aries and back into Pisces. We’ve been feeling it strongly for the past couple of months, but that intensity will deepen for the next few weeks. It could make for a harsh Valentine’s Day for some of us.
Take good care of yourself during this time. Escape when you need to, but if you’re feeling blue, sometimes it’s best to sit with the pain. As we experience, we can release. Don’t get mired in sadness, though - it’s real, but it’s only one side of the coin. And it won’t last forever.
