Venus in Capricorn in Relationships

Venus in Capricorn in Relationships

For the next three weeks our values, including our self-value, take on a serious quality which impacts all our relationships. On the plus side, it’s a great time for commitments in relationships, primarily the commitment to work on ourselves as well as our relationships.

This is likely to feel like crunch time in strongly ambivalent relationships, as drifting along no longer feels like a viable option. For some relationships, it may be the perfect time to commit to the next step, such as moving in together. For others it may be time to let go.

This energy can feel a little restrictive at times, leaving us with a sense of ‘all work and no play’. The good news is that the more we ‘work’ with this energy, the greater the results.

So how can we work with this energy in relationships?

  1. It’s a great time to do a little self assessment. On a scale of 1 – 10: how do you feel about yourself? What can you do to increase your self-value?
  2. Make a list of the key relationships in your life. Note how much you invest in your relationships on a regular basis. Which ones do you take for granted? Which ones do your work hard at? Which ones are stagnant? Which ones are growing? Which ones might blossom with some work? What do they need in order to flourish? Which ones do you need to step back from?

It’s not a jubilant energy to celebrate the holiday season with, but it’s a very honest one and will resonate with anyone who prefers realness rather than Disney fantasy in relationships. Mid December is a great time to find out which relationships are keepers and which ones were never true. Don’t forget that Capricorn thrives on dry humor, so however serious relationships feel - keep laughing! MG

Meanwhile, do check out our YouTube recording on today’s New Moon in Sag which has a lovely expansive quality to it – or does it!!
