Theoretically, when Venus is in this earthy sign, it’s a lovely relaxing time for relationships! However…this is no ordinary time and we are building up to big changes in relationship dynamics on Sunday, followed by the Full Moon in Virgo on Monday! Not the easiest for Venus in the most security driven sign! Ooops!
But let’s first go back to basics! In its essence, Venus in Taurus encourages us to reconnect with our body and our sensuality. Its focus is on beauty and comfort – the natural beauty of nature and the peace we feel when we tune with our own internal rhythms. Imagine doing relaxing yoga on a beautiful meadow of flowers with the sun shining down…Venus in Taurus loves physical affection and the loving nurturing of nesting with loved ones. It also brings our attention to finances!
So what’s different this time round? For one thing, our internal and external security as individuals and as a collective is feeling under threat with the impact of the Coronavirus. Affection through physical contact is diminishing, as the number succumbing to the virus is rising. Job security is feeling unstable, as businesses are affected by market changes and the need to take care of children when schools close…These challenges are likely to become somewhat more intense on March 26th and 28th!
On the plus side, we may get to spend more time nesting at home and making our homes comfortable havens from the outside world. Contact with loved ones across the miles via phone, Skype, zoom etc. is likely to increase, as we will have more time at our disposal. Also, our need to be aware of any possible symptoms, necessitates that we maintain an ongoing connection with and awareness of our body.
As our immune system is key, sharing ways to stay healthy and engaging in them together is likely to create strong bonds. Spending time outdoors walking, running etc. is probably going to feel a lot safer than being in a gym. Not to mention all the amazing ways we are discovering to make contact with each other aside from hugging! So although it may not be the most relaxing Venus in Taurus time we’ve had, love and our need for connection will no doubt find creative ways around the current challenges, such as ‘The Wuhan Shake’ below!
