The shadow side of Pisces…
How can I be substantial if I do not cast a shadow? I must have a dark side also If I am to be whole. - C.G. Jung
There is a powerful duality to Pisces energy that can easily come to the surface with this Full Moon – both towards ourselves and in our relationships! In fact it’s likely to have been around for the past couple of days.
On the one hand there is the side of Pisces that we all love, including: spirituality, unconditional love, creativity, compassion, sensitivity, empathy, kindness, oneness…However, the shadow on the other side includes: addictions, passive aggressiveness, withholding and cruelty!
Full Moons tend to bring shadow unconscious material to the surface, so it’s a great time to become aware of our self-talk, and how that manifests in our relationship dynamics. It’s hard to be kind to others, if we are cruel towards ourselves. So the first step as always, is self-compassion.
Consciousness is particularly important today, as is some space and room to take time out for whatever spiritual practice feels most comfortable – whether it’s mediation, a walk in nature, or listening to music. Best to use words sparingly and carefully with loved ones, as there can be a harsh edge to them, even with the best of intentions.
Some suggestions in Relationships for this Full Moon:
- For everyone: how do you validate to yourself on a daily basis how valuable, precious, unsubstitutable and special you are?
- If you are in an intimate relationship, think back to the first times you met with your significant other – what drew you to them? What did you feel when you were with them? What did you love most about them? How did you show them how precious they were to you? What do you do on a daily basis to remind them of that?
- If you are not in an intimate relationship, how might no. 2 above apply to your past relationships? What do you most desire in a new relationship?
