The May 2022 Total Lunar Eclipse Wesak Full Moon of 26 Scorpio-Taurus Pt. 2

The May 2022 Total Lunar Eclipse Wesak Full Moon of 26 Scorpio-Taurus Pt. 2

Sabian Symbols Showing the Light of Ritual and Role Play Expressed Through Adaptive Efficiency.

This Full Moon is the eighteenth since the December 2020 Solstice conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn at 1 Aquarius which launched new 20 and 200 year eras. This one brings us a new “Buddha Wisdom” for the year, promising clarity, depth, power, compassion, and visualizing what we want to see made manifest!

I’ll speak more about the bigger picture after the Sabian Symbol. For now, let’s take a closer look at this reliable, purifying, concentrating, and dedicated Eclipse which will take away old roles and reveal new ones, eliminate old emotional responses so our Soul can express through our personality, and help us release our greater spiritual potential through heartfelt creative responses to integrative challenges.

As the Full Moon fulfills the themes of the previous New Moon, we can use the power of cultivation we’ve practiced these past two weeks and see what we need to fulfill that vision according to our heart’s desire. We can now “see the Light” of playing a role we enjoy and give it a focused magnetic power.

The Sun in Earth and Moon in Water shows a time of the Fixed Earth (stabilized practicality) of Taurus expressing its consistent groundedness through the Fixed Water (stabilized feeling experience) of Scorpio. This continues previous Full Moon themes of getting clear on the individual and spiritual levels of our existence.

In this chart, 2 planets are in the first third of their signs, 2 planets are in the second third of their signs, and SIX planets are in the last third of their signs. This indicates a heavy emphasis on the individual, mental, and spiritual levels of life, with a balance between the emotional and social and actional-material levels of life. This will be an extraordinarily spiritual focus for two weeks (and 5+ months)!

Why Are Full Moons So Important?

At a Full Moon, that which has opened since the previous New Moon surfaces in a public form, and heads toward the culmination and fruition symbolized by the second half of any cycle. First half, birth into form and field. Second half, culmination and completion of the purpose of that cycle.

That’s why it’s important to regard the New and Full Moon charts as “God’s Footprints in Time,” since one follows the other in an unending sequence of births of newer and newer seeds. The New Moons show us the seeds that will flourish under the reflected light of the Full Moon.

Full Moons heighten feelings, due to the opposition of the Moon and the Sun. All the inner planets are now done with their run of oppositions to the outer planets. This chart has only one opposition creating one axis of “the Tension of Opposites.” We have the Moon opposed Sun generating awareness around 24-28 of Taurus/Scorpio, making them the drivers of our “awareness generator” for the coming two weeks.

Dispositors - What's the Backdrop to the Energies?

The Sun is in Taurus, making Venus its worldly ruler and the Moon is in Scorpio, making Mars its ruler. Venus is in Aries, ruled by Mars. Mars is in Pisces, ruled by Jupiter in Aries, creating a “Mutual Reception,” which is a very powerful self-reinforcing closed loop of energy.

Besides these, Mercury is in Gemini, its home sign, so it rules itself; Saturn is in Aquarius, its home sign, so it too rules itself. Uranus is ruled by Venus, Pluto is ruled by Saturn, and as usual, Neptune is a “standalone” planet, ruling itself. So this month we have three final dispositors and a mutual reception ruling all the planets.

, showing that Jupiter is on center stage with Saturn, and is dominant because it’s the final dispositor to all the other planets except Saturn and Pluto.

By looking at how “chains of dispositors,” “final dispositors,” and “mutual reception” are in play between the planets, we get a clear picture of the backdrop for how each planet operates. You can find out more about dispositors in general, chains of dispositors, and mutual reception by going to Astrology Class – What Is A Dispositor and What Is Mutual Reception Between Two Planets?

The Magic of Venus: Friendships, Soul Mates, and Twin Flames

Because Venus rules the Sun in these May Taurus eclipses, it is a powerful force behind the scenes. As the Sun is on a degree of a “gallant serenading his beloved,” this promises to be a powerful release of compassionate Buddha Wisdom related to our heart’s desire. If you want to focus your ability to attract better friends and relations in the future, please consider getting your copy of The Magic of Venus: Friendships, Soul Mates, and Twin Flames. It is the most comprehensive book on Venus ever written, and explains why we attract who we do and how to create more satisfying relationships in the future. You will understand the foundations of long term healthy relationships and friendships, why Soul Mates come into our lives, and how to know the difference between a Soul Mate and our Twin Flame. Even if you’re not looking for a partner, this book will explain why certain people with certain traits came into your life and what they taught you about yourself.

It has chapters on the qualities of each sign’s natural mate, the qualities of Venus in each sign, and when crucial choices and changes are made, affecting who we attract in the future. It was written for both astrologers and lay people, and as it has a thousand gems for better relationships, with self, others, and Source, please consider getting your copy by going to the link above! (And when you’re done, please leave a review on Amazon, since it helps the book and all other books on astrology as well!)

The Sabian Symbols for the Full Moon

This Full Moon falls at 26 Taurus and 26 Scorpio. It is said that the last third (decan) of any sign deals with the individual, mental, and spiritual levels of life, and as the Lunation is in the third decan of those signs, invokes a sub-influence of Capricorn and Cancer.

Since the Moon always focuses the light of the Sun in specific forms, the degree symbols for both are important. The Sun degree is the illumination or enlightenment of the Lunation, whereas the Moon shows us the potential forms that enlightenment will take. Though I’ve given you a sense of what this is about up to now, here’s where we go into detail.

The Solar Sabian symbol for the 26th degree of Taurus is “A Spaniard serenading his senorita.” In the original Jones class notes published in The Astrology of Personality, Rudhyar says this is a degree of “the power of well-defined desire which assures success in all life-contacts,” and the “Imaginative power that compels manifestation.”

In The Astrological Mandala, he goes on to say that this degree symbolizes “the ritualization of individual desires, “ where we see “collective values as they affect the individual person and … confirm (their) individuality” within some tradition. We are told this is a sense of belonging, so that we can find “a safe and secure sense of differentiation within an enfolding whole.”

He says this symbol “reveals the individual … making use of (their) personal status to find fulfillment and a sense of social identity.” He states “this is role playing in its most enjoyable form.” He says this degree falls in the Span of Enjoyment, Act of Differentiation, and Scene of Confirmation on the Individual-Mental level.

Dr. Jones says this is a degree of “unlimited capacity for self-establishment and for finding everying (we desire) immediately at hand.” He offers that all we are contributes to an effective reality rather than that which we seek to claim for ourselves, and that “a poetry of living and a music of desire become the final touchstones for a true self-fulfillment.”

He offers us the keyword CONSTANCY. He states that when operating in a positive manner, this degree is “the continual reassurance by which (our will) coaxes the depths of (our) Soul into (our) experience.”

The Lunar Sabian Symbol for the 26th degree of Scorpio is "Indians making camp.” In the original notes from the Marc Jones class on the symbols, Rudhyar says this is a degree of “ability to feel at home in any outer or inner environment,” “efficient functioning,” and “retreating into the familiar and the known.”

In The Astrological Mandala he offers this symbol refers to “the ability to adjust swiftly to a new situation by tuning in to its requirements.” He states this is about being “in harmony with nature, moving on as new needs arise” and finding ourselves “intuitively at home everywhere.” We are told that this concerns identifying ourselves with the biosphere, and functioning at peace wherever whenever however.

He further tells us that here we get a “message of peaceful adaptation to nature, and through adaptation, efficient functioning in all life situations.” This degree falls in the Span of Appreciation, and is the initial degree in the Scene of Faith on the individual-mental level.

Dr. Marc E Jones, creator of the Sabian Symbols, says this is a degree of our “inexhaustible capacity for self-establishment” and finding what we need in practical terms. Here “reality is the result of each individual’s choices and rejections in (our) everyday dealings with the world at large,” where experience provides us with what we need. He goes on to say that our “alertness to the potentialities of (our) being becomes the secret of (our) true self-fulfillment.”

He offers us the keyword EXTEMPORIZATION. He states that when operating in a positive manner, this degree is “unusual resourcefulness and a gift for finding real opportunity in the least promising of situations.”

From these symbols it seems we can see the Light of playing the roles we enjoy playing expressed through efficient adaptability. Here the Light of “a poetry of living and a music of desire” takes shape as a depth connectedness, faith, and resourcefulness as we adapt to conditions.

As we define our role, function, and imagery precisely according to our love so that our love can establish these in our lives, we will find we can adapt to be at peace anywhere we find ourselves, and an ability to choose or reject whatever to find what we need in the moment. The Light of our heart’s desire will express as a new efficiency through adaptability, and many will find themselves curiously in harmony with Nature, “at home in the known and familiar.”

As with the last several Full Moons, important transformations helping us see a deeper Mystery are evoked by this Lunation. This calls us to a greater empathy and ability to know shared feelings, and continues to educate us in a social-spiritual understanding and compassion. With Mars conjunct Neptune, keep moving with the flow, don’t try to push the river, and go deeper in your inner and outer feeling connections. Learn to trust the process, and trust in your ability to navigate these currents as you embrace a new life. This feeling magnetism is showing us who are part of our Soul-group.

We’re in an Era of Overlapping Capricorn and Aquarius Cycles

As you know by now, we had numerous important long wave conjunctions in January 2020 which were set into motion in March 2020, including a 12 year cycle and a 33 year cycle! Sun, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto all made conjunctions in Capricorn in January and March 2020 which were activated by Mars in March 2020. Mars completed its run at its conjunction with Saturn at 1 Aquarius which also set long wave preliminary Aquarian structures into play which are expanding and currently taking shape.

That “Great Compression” of planets in early 2020 created a very crowded house in a very narrow span of degrees, impacting where we have late Capricorn for many years to come. Add the three conjunctions of Jupiter with Pluto as it transited back and forth over the January and March degree points, and we’ve had a lot of long wave Pluto energies expanded which will show effects over the next decade! If you’re wondering how this Great Compression and those to come will impact us, please check out the linked articles on the bottom of Part 1 of this series published yesterday.

The wave that began April 2020 and was given wings in December has taken clearer shape during the time Saturn occupied 7-14 Aquarius in 2021. During early 2021, Jupiter gave us an expansive view of all of Aquarius, and then passed through the Transfiguration Zone in late April and early May, again in early August when retrograde, and a final time in December, giving us three different experiences of “graduation into a new realm of Being” transforming our lives so we can see how we are related to other Light Beings in the collective field. We now get to enter a new promise of how we fit into the whole.

TransPluto, Divine Mother, and the Tests of Human Redemption

I’ve included this section for many years to keep you all aware of the workings of Divine Mother on our Earth in this Age in Transition. Rather than simply reprint it each month, I created this material as a separate article unto itself a while back which I’ve just updated. If you want to know more about the vast spiritual field coaxing us toward a great redemption of the promise of Life itself, please take a new look at TransPluto, Divine Mother, and the Spiritual Lessons of 2022. We have now entered a long period of getting over our prejudices and preconceptions, and approaching others from an angle of “the fellowship of humanity.”

*********

At the 2020 World Teacher Full Moon of Sun in Gemini and Moon in Sagittarius I gave you a universal prayer/meditation offered to us by the Tibetan Master D.K. in April 1945 at the end of the war. Tens of millions around the world do this prayer every Full Moon, tuning into the Whole which we ALL are together. I said it every day for many years, and still say it every Full Moon. (It was a real trip to see eyes suddenly open and/or lightbulbs go on over people’s heads when I did it countless times riding the NYC subways when I lived there in the early 80s!)

In 1976 I changed a few words to make it more universal. For your consideration,

The Great Invocation

From the point of Light within the mind of God
Let Light stream forth into the minds of All,
Let Light descend on Earth

From the point of Love within the heart of God
Let Love stream forth into the hearts of All
May Christ return to Earth

From the center where the Will of God is known
Let Purpose guide the little Wills of All
The Purpose which the Masters know and serve

From the center which we call the Human Race
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.

Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.

Again, as I’ve offered you many times before, when you see the title "The Christ" if you are so inclined please substitute "World Teacher," "Bodhisattva," "Imam Madhi," "Krishna," “Kristos,” "Avalokiteshvara," "Maitreya," "Messiah," or any other term used to describe this Great Being. And if you substitute “Enlightened Ones” or “Wise Ones” for “Masters” I doubt it would offend anyone.

See you soon with part 3 covering aspects, planetary sequencing, and other important factors in this Wesak Full Moon Total Lunar Eclipse.
