Sacred Ceremony + Ritual Response = Freedom/Release. This is one of the simplest, yet most overlooked equations. The earth benefits and rejoices in it, and it is a gift for our body, mind and spirit.
May is a perfect and important month for regenerating our life force and the animas vigoras, an ancient term for the fire of inspiration, which when invoked, ignites our passion to thrive. Look around. Some of us have been in hibernation mode while others hover near survival. This is not what we came here to be and do!
The moon is the earth’s most prominent partner, even more so during this May 2012 cycle. We have already experienced a Super full moon due to its elliptical orbit and its exaggerated proximity to earth this month. On May 20th there will be a potent solar eclipse that is forecasted to have great influence on matters large and small. In addition, we are all in the process of shifting our focus and energy, as directed by our own soul’s code.

Dear Gaia, A friend of mine heard you describe 2012 as a year of “reversals”. Could you go into more details about this? Does it apply to all of us? V. K. Budapest, Hungary
Dear V,
Begin by acknowledging that 2012 is not about getting it right or fixing what’s wrong. It is not about going somewhere or making something happen. Deadlines and finish lines are arbitrary. Like endings and beginnings, they are invisible bookmarks in time that connect and align truths as easily as stars. Recognize the great distance that you have already traveled in this life and know that it has enhanced you from within and without. The most common description of a reversal includes an unfortunate experience or setback. My deliberate choice of words has an alternate meaning, one that is more liberal and creative. Reversals are opportunities to revisit thoughts, decisions, opinions, and more.
A reversal is an opportunity to turn around in time to catch yourself in movement or midflight. Have you ever wished to take back your words before they reached their destination? To retrace your steps in such a way that you could find a lost object? To remake a decision without consequence? These are reversals — changes in direction, states of consciousness and conditions of being. A reversal sets aside a previous or lower decision, and the energies of 2012 encourage you to do this.

Is it true that Brasil plans to build as many as 60 dams along the Amazon? Can they do that? Will you allow it?
The earth (my body) is rich in bio-diversity of every kind. Every kingdom and element of the earth is supported by my sentience so that its uniqueness can be expressed in a variety of ways including individuality, creativity, and an ability to discover and evolve its essence. Essence is the quality or nature of something. It is what identifies something (or someone) so that it can communicate that to others. Essence makes something what it is and is one of the most important and memorable features about almost anything. Essence is what makes things and thoughts perfect even when they do not seem so, because the essential quality in all things always evolves in a manner that contributes or leads to wholeness. Those who observe essence, or the essential qualities of thoughts and things, often idealize them. In contrast to things that are less than perfect or ideal, these forms reveal a higher perspective; something that can one can aspire to or transform into. Essence is pure, complex but not complicated, stylized and original. It is fundamental and intrinsic unto itself, its reflection is often perceived as a raw beauty or a diamond in the rough. The essential nature of the earth, which is also one of the embodiments associated with the Gaian purpose, is to provide raw resources for all thoughts and things associated with the evolution of earthly things. This is really the bottom line for the earth (love and compassion aside for purposes associated with the present topic).

2011, like other recent years, continues to accelerate all of the thoughts and things associated with life on earth. The year, as measured by your current calendar, has already moved past the halfway mark, speeding along at a good clip and inviting you to do the same. All things being equal, there should be six more months (of time) left in the year, but while all things are equal, they are not the same. Two lit candles will not burn at the same rate, nor will they burn equal parts of wick and wax. Clocks, while reliable, cannot be trusted 100% of the time. And human beings of equal age rarely look the same.
Time is a measure of comparison. It is a guide and a reference point for determining future events. Time can be adjusted, mostly by adjusting your ability to respond to time itself. It is easier to quicken time and more difficult to slow it down. Why? Because it is motivated by momentum. Simply put, most people are more interested in what tomorrow will bring than in what took place yesterday, so it is easier to (time) travel to the future than it is to visit the past.

I recently saw the latest Star Wars movie and was amazed at the effect it had upon me. The storyline seemed almost too real, and I am still having dreams that seem somehow associated with it. I remember reading something about ‘wars in heaven’ and wonder if there is some truth associated with the movie after all?
Truth, as they say, is indeed stranger than fiction. The imagination behind this fictionalized saga is a creative one and the writer(s) collaborated with past, present and future memory modules to create a movie that seems as if it could have been inspired by historical events, but was it? Those who have grown into adulthood during wartime have a different perspective on life than those who have not. Likewise, those whose memories include wars that took place upon other worlds are still affected by them. The possibility that such memories exist in the present seems remote, but the mind has many places in which to store non-linear modules, and when associative correlations such as these are drawn, the mind makes little distinction between then and now, or reality versus illusion.
