Ego judges others yet trembles at being judged — ready to break free? ~Crystal Wind

The first of this week’s theme of taming the fears of the ego is judgement.

The ego self is rather fragile, or perhaps a better word would be sensitive. One of its greatest fears is being judged yet ironically it continues to judge others. In a way it is like a battle of judgement to see who can judge another first, all the while being terrified of being judged by others. This keeps it in a loop of both fear and separation leading to a nervous system that cannot settle.

Breaking the Judgment Loop

As you look at this, we ask you how do you judge the ego? Are you contributing to this loop? Can you, with your wisdom and care, start to soothe your ego by stepping out of judgment of it? Can you lead by an example of acceptance? Can you reassure it by letting it know it is worthy and important just as it is? Can you also teach it that it can keep its identity without needing to judge others?

Healing Through Acceptance and Love

Pay attention to your energy as you feel into these concepts. Does your nervous system settle? If it does you have found the healing piece you were seeking. If it doesn’t, we encourage you to explore more and have a conversation with your ego self, reassuring it with acceptance and love until it does. This can be a profoundly healing piece that unifies and calms the aspects of you.

The ego seeks only the love your conscious self can freely give.
