During times of accelerated change it can be easy to fall into doubt. Doubt usually announces its arrival through the introduction of “what ifs”.

You could be flowing along quite beautifully in your day and have an inspired idea. The idea feels really good and exciting to you and you begin to explore it. Any inspiration that drops in and feels wonderful is delivered straight from your soul and the excitement you feel is your soul celebrating that you received the idea!

But before you know it, your inner doubter starts to wake up. It may try to market itself as just trying to keep you safe but its main goal is for everything to stay the same. As a part of the ego that is much like a toddler, it far prefers predictability and feeling in charge than sudden change or exploration into the unknown.

In order to make the best decision for all parts of you, it is important for all parts of you to feel heard. Imagine all the aspects of you are gathered around a large table in a board room. Your idea is what you present at the meeting. They all deserve to have their opinions considered and heard.

Your job as your own empowered guide, parent, and best friend, is to thank everyone for their opinions and then take into consideration everything you’ve heard.
