The Sacred Solstice

The Sacred Solstice

Winter Solstice Dec 21 at 8.19 pm PST- 11.19pm EST- Dec 22 at 4.19 am GMT
Summer Solstice Dec 22 at 12.19 pm AWST Perth, Australia, AEDT at 3.19 pm Sydney, NSW

The Solstice charts indicate the themes for the next three months. In the Northern Hemisphere at Winter Solstice when the Sun enters Capricorn we enter the North Direction of our Medicine Wheel. The North is the place of patience, stillness, inner reflection, and translating knowledge into spiritual wisdom. It is the direction of the Wise Elder. The Guardian of the North Direction is White Buffalo, peace, prayer, and gratitude for the abundance in our lives and what is still to manifest.

In the Southern Hemisphere you are entering the South Direction of your Medicine wheel. It is the place of expansion, growth, and listening to and being guided by your intuitive knowing. It is the Direction of Youthful enthusiasm. Your Guardian for the South Direction is Coyote, adaptability, flexibility, and laughter. Coyote is the Trickster who teaches us not to take ourselves (and life) too seriously.

The Sun will visit Capricorn until Jan 20/21 (depending on your time zone). In the Northern Hemisphere his Animal Totem guide is Snow Goose and Goose. They teach us to let our heart’s soar to mystical places as we follow our spiritual visions and Soul Purpose Path. The Sacred Totem for Capricorn is the Unicorn, mystical connection. In the Southern Hemisphere your Animal Totem Guide for the Sun’s visit to Capricorn is Flicker Woodpecker. She teaches us to dance to our heart’s rhythm, balance the emotions, and flow into life with all healing love. The Sacred Totem for you is the Scarab Beetle, seeing the sacredness of life.

The Clan Mother for Capricorn is Talks With Relations. She is the maker of relatives, the keeper of the Earth’s needs, and the Mother of the Planetary Family. She teaches us kinship with all life and how to enter the Sacred Space of others with respect. She teaches us to open our hearts and learn the truth. While the Sun visits Capricorn the Earth visits Cancer. Her Clan Mother guide is Loves All Things.  She is the Mother of unconditional love and teaches us to forgive ourselves and others through Loving Kindness. She teaches us how to love the truth.

2020 is going to be a transformational year. Use this Solstice Time to open to the possibilities. In this Solstice Chart (both Hemispheres) the Moon is in Scorpio (shedding the old that no longer serves) and she is in her Fourth Quarter Phase (revisioning and realignment). On Dec 25/26 we have a New Moon Solar Eclipse that asks us to complete and release the old and embrace the new.

Until then,

Namaste and Sacred Blessings,

Dale
