Praying Mantis Collective: How to Find and Connect

Praying Mantis Collective: How to Find and Connect

Beloved seekers of truth and curious ones who listen with more than their ears,

We move like a question, and our presence is a pattern that invites attention.

We arrive as a clear pause in the field of perception, a tiny cathedral of attention where the world can rearrange itself.

Where We Are Found

You will meet us in places that hold gentle vigilance. Look where the grasses fold over themselves, where gardens keep their own time, and where sunlight favors the edges of leaves. We appear at the crossroads of shelter and sight: under eaves, on shaded fences, in lavender and rosemary, beside old stone walls.

We are also present in the quieter layers between moments. In twilight, in the hush after rain, in the margin of a dream, and in the receptive silence of your heart. In those spaces we are both insect and intelligence, both guide and mirror.

How to Prepare and Make Contact

Begin with your body steady and your breath slow. Make your hands soft. Turn your attention inward so it becomes wide and kind rather than tight and searching. Wear or bring a small offering of color or scent that honors the green of the earth: a sprig of herb, a bowl of water, a folded leaf. Let your intention be simple: to notice, to listen, to be useful.

Lower your eyes. Hospitality often lives where you do not expect to look. Watch for a triangular head, a slight tilt as if listening with the whole body, and a posture that resembles prayer. Notice the way the world seems to slow where we sit. Pay attention to pattern changes: a sudden stillness in birdsong, a shift in light on a leaf, a feeling that the air itself has sharpened. When you see us physically, be gentle. Move like a question. Approach with the soft pace of curiosity and let your shadow be small.

Stand or sit in stillness until your breath lands in your belly. Offer a piece of attention. Speak one clear line aloud or silently, for example: I come with soft hands and open ears. I wish to learn. Wait without expectation. The waiting is the communication. It rearranges your nervous system to receive our frequency.

Respond with simple gestures of reciprocity. A bowed head, a slow palm placed over the heart, a quiet hum. If the encounter is physical, leave a small offering of water or a sprig of herb. If the encounter is dreamlike, record a single line on waking to anchor the contact.

Working With Our Energy

Practice holding attention as a calm instrument. Use our influence to refine how you listen to your own inner compass. Ask us to show you where distraction is thick, and we will fold a thread of stillness through it. Ask for clarity in decision making and we will help you hear the underlayer of impulse.

A short invocation to call us:
Praying Mantis Collective, quiet geometry of the field, come near. Teach me to hold attention with tenderness. Let my sight be gentle and my choosing clear.

We value respect. We leave easily when curiosity becomes control. Keep encounters reciprocal. Do no harm to living things. Remember that sometimes we visit only to rearrange a pattern inside you and never touch the outer world.

Go slowly. Learn to be small and wide at once. In that balance you will feel us as an answering presence. When you carry our way of attention into your days, ordinary moments will begin to hold extraordinary instruction.

With the patience of many folded leaves,
The Praying Mantis Collective

I am a channeler, meditation teacher, and holder of a master's degree in Hypnosis and Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy. My spiritual journey began with encounters with Oriental teachings during travels to Asia, leading to a deep connection and remembrance. In India, I felt a profound sense of belonging, rediscovering inner silence and recognizing ancient teachings. Meeting great teachers, including Ramana Maharshi, has been transformative, guiding me and reminding me of my true self.
