One of our friends recently sent us this note:

“I’m interested in learning more about picking up on, or taking in, other people’s energy. How does that work? How can we learn to separate heavy energy from other people versus our own heavy energy?”

Great question, and one we’ve been asked a lot since 2012.

Spirit

Those of you reading this are what you call “lightworkers” — wise old souls who’ve lived many, many lifetimes.

Many of you are feeling deeply the energy shifts happening on your planet today. This is, you might say, the shift of the ages — one like neither you nor your Mother Earth have ever seen before.

You are feeling the changes in various areas of your lives — your relationships, your work, your physical bodies, and so on.

You are wondering, “What’s wrong with me?” We want to tell you there is nothing wrong with you. Your spirit is simply adjusting to the new energies. Your spirit is helping you to adjust to the huge increase in the amount of light in you and in your life.

There is nothing to fear, nothing you’re doing wrong. It’s simply a vibrational adjustment your spirit is facilitating for your physical lives on the planet, albeit like no other adjustment you’ve ever experienced in any other lifetime.

One of the results of this huge shift is your increased sensitivity to energy — energy coming from all sources, including other people.

Because your are increasingly sensitive to energy, you pick it up wherever you go. You can feel it especially from other living beings.

Often, especially if it’s what you would call “negative” energy, you think you’re doing something wrong. You’re not!

Yes, it’s entirely possible when you’re feeling “bad” in any way, that feeling is coming from within yourselves — your thoughts, your fears, your doubts.

But you can easily check that. Just go within. Take a few deep breaths and ask, “Is this feeling mine or is it coming from outside me?” Wait and your spirit will give you an  unmistakeably clear answer. When the answer comes, trust it. It’s the right answer.

How do we know that? Because we know you, the wise old souls reading this, are all powerful beings of light. We want you to acknowledge your power and your light. It’s time.

If the energy you’re feeling is coming from a source outside you, you will know. It’s important for you, in these cases, for you to love yourselves enough to remove yourselves from those difficult situations. You will know how to do that.

If you are the source of your feelings, all of you already have the tools to deal with that effectively. You can use meditation, prayer, quiet time, talking to a loved one — you have all the resources you will ever need.

Claim your power. Remember who you are. You are already enlightened.

In the early 1980s John took a spiritual development course, and was introduced to his first spirit guide, Lydia. After Lydia arrived, three other guides also came to him: Archangel Michael, Tamarra, and Chief Joseph. Today these are John’s four main guides.

Besides his four main ones, John has various other guides. The entire group is really a multidimensional collective consciousness. John refers to the entire group simply as “Spirit.”
