Do you believe our title? Is being happy really simple and easy? Is the key to happiness, as Dr. Sood says, as simple as practicing gratitude? Is happiness your birthright as a child of God?

US President Abraham Lincoln put it this way: 

“A man is about as happy as he makes up his mind to be.”

Here are some thoughts from Spirit.

Spirit

You do not need a reason to be happy. The only “reason” you need to be happy is to know all is well, now and forever. It has never been otherwise. It will never be otherwise Despite appearances. Despite what your human minds and physical senses see. Anything other than well-being is an illusion.

And so you might ask, “What, then, is really real?

Love is real. Appreciation is real. Joy is real. Passion is real. Happiness is real. Well-being is real. Seeing the world through the eyes of God is the only way you will ever see what is really real.

Anything other than what is real is just a passing illusion. Sickness, poverty, “bad” relationships, death, war, disharmony, dis-ease — these are all illusions, albeit illusions you created. But you can “uncreate” them in the blink of an eye.

Your natural state is well-being. Happiness is natural. Joy is natural. Good health is natural. Abundance is natural. All good things you’ve ever wanted in your lives — these are natural. They are your birthright as a human being, a physical aspect of your soul — a physical aspect of God.

Happiness is your natural state of being. When you choose to remember that, you’ll be happy. Happiness is up to you. When you accept this you’ll know you do not need a reason to be happy.

Just be happy!
