Relationships – The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

good_bad_ugly

John Cali

One of the most challenging and yet rewarding parts of our human lives is relationships. None of us need reminders of that—it’s all too obvious.

But what is the true purpose of relationships? In my opinion, relationships are marvelous opportunities to express who we truly are—they are always, with no exceptions, great vehicles for personal and spiritual growth.

Here are some of Spirit’s thoughts:

  • All relationships have at least two different perspectives because you are all unique.
  • One key to successful relationships is allowing the differences without being threatened by them.
  • Remember, there is no right, no wrong in relationships.
  • One of the most damaging things you can do to your relationships is needing to always be right.
  • Relationships, like everything else, are continually changing. You need to accept that and, as you say, “go with the flow.”
  • It’s important to regularly reevaluate your relationships—there will always be “course corrections,” or adjustments, you will need to make.
  • It’s critical that you always communicate openly and honestly, especially with those you are in close relationships with.
  • Some relationships will not last a lifetime. Let that be okay, and you will find much peace.
  • The end of any relationship is a new beginning—always.
  • Always live in the present moment. Then you will be of immense benefit to yourself and your relationships.
  • Your most important relationship is with yourself.
  • Always be true to yourself. Always be yourself.
  • Love yourself unconditionally, and your relationships with blossom and grow.

One of the most powerful tools for nurturing loving relationships is also one of the most obvious. Yet it’s one many of us fail to use regularly. The tool? Simply listening.

In the early 1980s John took a spiritual development course, and was introduced to his first spirit guide, Lydia. After Lydia arrived, three other guides also came to him: Archangel Michael, Tamarra, and Chief Joseph. Today these are John’s four main guides.

Besides his four main ones, John has various other guides. The entire group is really a multidimensional collective consciousness. John refers to the entire group simply as “Spirit.”
