Meaning of Life Explained: Sanhia on Death of Your Story, Part 1

Explore a profound channeled message from Sanhia on how letting go of your old story opens the door to your true life.~AndEl

February 2026

Hello Dear Friends,

Channeling Sanhia is always a joy for me. Even if I start a session feeling tired or low on energy, the moment Sanhia greets with “Good Now,” that heaviness disappears. Two hours later, I’m left feeling calm and recharged. Sanhia’s presence is most vivid in direct conversation, whether face-to-face or on Zoom. The words always seem to come so the listener can truly hear them. Sometimes the messages have a familiar ring, but there’s never a sense of monotony—each session feels like something new is being spoken. Occasionally, I’m surprised by ideas or perspectives I’ve never heard before. There’s a gentle humor, too, that doesn’t always come across in writing—tone and timing do so much. Listening to the Zoom recordings can give a sense of it, but nothing beats the energy of a live session. I feel incredibly privileged and grateful to have a front-row seat, absorbing what’s being communicated even more directly than those present. I encourage you to join us.
Michael

A Conversation Over "What Is the Meaning of Life?"
Part 1 | Sanhia on the Death of Your Story

(Taken from a recent Spiritual Awareness Zoom group. If you haven’t read the previous message, it’s recommended to do so.)

Good Now!

Participant 1: If there is no meaning to life, why are we here?

That’s what we’re all trying to figure out.

Participant 2: For me, if life has no point, then there’s nothing to want or do. Nothing interests me. It feels empty, pointless.

So, is the meaning to have a point and to feel full?

Participant 2: Maybe then it feels more joyful or…

What would bring you joy? What would make you feel full?

Participant 2: I don’t even know. Right now, it feels like nothing, and honestly, it pisses me off. I don’t like feeling this way.

So, you wish you weren’t pissed off?

Participant 2: Yeah! Of course!

So, is the meaning of life just not to feel pissed off? Is that it?

Participant 2: That’s not the meaning, but it would be nice.

Then what do you do to stop feeling pissed off? Or do you just wait for it to pass?

Participant 2: I don’t know. I have to find something, because I really don’t like it as it is.

Let’s say you come up with a plan, carry it out, and you’re no longer pissed off. Does that feeling last forever?

Participant 2: No, of course not.

So, the meaning of life is that you’re always trying to get somewhere else, but even if you succeed, it doesn’t last. So you try again.

Participant 2: That sounds terrible. Like Sisyphus. Is there any meaning then?

Think of anything everyone wants out of life… (silence) Let’s say you get that thing that supposedly gives life meaning, and then you die. Do you still have it?

Participant 3: No.

You don’t have the perfect partner. You don’t have millions in the bank. Maybe the meaning of life is death—because that’s the one thing we all share.

Participant 1: Isn’t it to find out who you really are?

Oh! Who are you?

Participant 1: I’ve heard I’m divine.

He was probably just flirting with you.

Participant 1: (laughs) Are you my mother? (laughs) And that I’m not separated—that I’m part of the whole, oneness.

Let me pause you for a second. If all that’s true, why do you have this life?

Participant 2: To remember and find that you are all those things mentioned. Because sometimes it doesn’t feel like that at all.

So you have to live a life to find out you’re one with God? Is that the meaning of life?

Participant 2: Sounds like it.

But you already are one with God. What changes by finding that out?

Participant 2: It changes how I feel inside. Knowing it mentally isn’t enough. Sometimes my mind just says, “Bullshit.” Maybe truly believing it deep down would be different.

So, if you’re one with God, you’re still thinking of yourself as “you”—separate from God. How can you have a separate identity in Oneness?

Participant 1: That’s the dream we’re dreaming. Most of us think that’s the truth.

So, maybe the meaning in life is reaching a place where you know you’re One with everything. But then, there’s no separate you left searching for meaning. That might suggest life itself has no meaning; it’s just about letting go of your separate identity—your story, your search. As long as you’re looking for meaning, you’re looking outside yourself, not at what’s right here and now. Everything you want isn’t here, but now is all there is. The rest happens in your mind, in your thoughts, and isn’t real. If you realize only the present is real, you’re in what some call “cat mind.” Animals don’t fear death; they just react. You could let go of fear, but you’d still jump out of the way of a speeding car. That’s just the body acting—life being life.

If you think, “My purpose in life is to wake up,” you’re saying there’s no awakeness now. If you’re already awake, how can awakening be a purpose? Then you bring in stories from childhood: “Because of what my parents did, I’m still healing. I’m a helpless, maybe hopeless victim.” Your story includes what happened in school, church, with friends, bosses, even mass consciousness. Maybe it includes spiritual insights or success, but it’s all still your story. Maybe you picture a future where you’re finally awakened. All of it is part of the story. It keeps you from seeing what’s here, right now. There can be no awakening while you’re holding onto your story. There’s just now; just life happening—not to you, but all around you. Your story is a diversion, a game in the mind that keeps you asleep and suffering. The story never really ends. There’s always another goal. It’s never enough. You’re back to Sisyphus. If there’s no purpose, you have permission to stop trying. That empty, hopeless feeling? It’s just the ego’s death throes—the part that wants to be special instead of just being.

Remember the movie “50 First Dates”? The woman wakes up every day with no memory—no story. She doesn’t remember her partner, so he has to win her over daily. The movie wants you to feel sorry for her, but maybe she’s lucky. Every day starts fresh. She responds to what’s in front of her, not the past. So again: What is the meaning of life?

Participant 3: Experiencing and feeling; being authentic with it.

What does being authentic mean?

Participant 3: Doing my best. Not running from uncomfortable feelings. Instead, observing if this experience is part of all.

Who decides what your best is? What are you comparing it to?

Participant 3: To running away or not running away.

How do you know if you’re running away or not?

Participant 3: If I’m feeling my body consciously, I’m doing my best. If I forget myself, I’m away, lost in my head creating stories.

What’s the mind doing when it says you’re authentic or running away?

Participant 3: Evaluating? I don’t know.

When you evaluate, are you just looking at what is?

Participant 3: Just was. (laughs)

You say you’re running away.

Participant 3: If I notice I’m in my head and I catch myself, then I know.

If a bear is chasing you and you run, is that running away?

Participant 3: No, that’s different. (laughs) I mean running away from my feelings, which are uncomfortable.

You couldn’t label it “running away” unless you were in your mind, not your feelings. “Running away” is a judgment. It’s an evaluation, which means you’re bringing in decades of programming to decide if your action is good or bad. That’s the mind, not the present moment.

Participant 3: Twenty years ago, I didn’t even know feeling my fears was a thing.

Forty years ago, you did—you just expressed them. Then you learned it wasn’t good to express them. Now, saying it’s good is just the other side of the coin. It’s still a judgment, a mind evaluation. In terms of “authentic,” it’s not authentic. Feelings are just there.

Participant 3: But if I don’t notice them half the day, I’ve missed all those feelings, for example.

You can’t evaluate missing feelings from this morning—you’re not there. You’re just here, now. The mind thinks about the past and judges: could have, should have, would have. That’s self-judgment. But what is, is. In the now, there’s a feeling you don’t want to face. It’s not good or bad, it just is. Bring in morality, and suddenly the purpose of life is to “express all your feelings.”

Participant 3: Not express, just notice them. Feel them.

How could you know if you’re feeling all your feelings?

Participant 3: Bodily signs—getting intense, for example, when I give it attention. Then the body reacts.

So that might be around one feeling. Maybe while noticing that one, you’re missing five others.

Participant 3: Oh yeah.

It’s a never-ending job to notice all your feelings, especially if you can’t use your mind to evaluate. I’m tired just thinking about it.

Participant 3: It’s another Sisyphus. I’m just registering the feelings, counting them. (laughs)

There’s a difference between noticing what is—including thoughts—and following them. Be aware of thoughts without chasing them. Come back to now. Thoughts are always about the past. Maybe you think you have to be sure you’re in touch with your feelings. That’s a thankless task if you let those thoughts guide you. Again—is the meaning of life to feel all your feelings? How much simpler to just notice what’s here and let it be. There may be anger, depression, excitement, tightness in the heart, thoughts of hopelessness. Nothing needs to be done about any of it. Just notice. You are not in control. The part of you that wants control is the ego mind. The ego wants to find the purpose in life, to set goals and achieve them. But in reality, there is no purpose and there are no goals. There’s only now. If you’re not here, you can only fail. The older you get, the more hopeless you might feel with your accumulated “failures.”

Participant 1: So, stay young forever.

Participant 3: Stay young—that’s a purpose! (laughter)

Then we’re aiming for not older than two years old. (laughter)

Participant 2: My twelve-year-old keeps bugging me, “What’s the purpose of life?”

Asking questions that can’t be answered.

Participant 2: That’s exhausting.

There’s a simple answer for your questioning mind: Life is. Being is. You see a butterfly in your yard. Is there purpose?

Participant 2: Beauty is the purpose.

The butterfly wants to be beautiful?

Participant 3: It just is.

It just is. The mind will say the butterfly’s purpose is to get nectar, fertilize flowers, be part of the system. But why dance in the air? That’s just what butterflies do. No goals, no successes or failures. That’s why you do things—because you do them. Maybe you notice a desire and act. Why? Where did the desire come from? Life just happens. Another time you notice the desire and don’t act. There’s no reason. Life simply is. Life happens. If there’s no meaning, it doesn’t matter what you do. That internal “cop” judging everything you do no longer has a job. You can’t do anything wrong. You’re free.

Participant 1: That’s kind of scary, to be absolutely free.

Scary to the cop.

Participant 1: When I think of there being no purpose, I feel how empty it would be. There are so many things I want, things I’m chasing. Dropping that brings up shades of terror. I guess I just have to face it. In doing that, I’m surprised by how deep the terror goes. Do we need to accept that there’s no meaning? If so, I want to face it, not just try to create something else.

You don’t need to do anything, but it’s actually easy to face. Wherever you are, whenever you are, just look around. Use all your senses. Notice what’s happening in your body. None of it has any meaning. The mind may make up stories, but they’re just thoughts—they don’t exist in the world. There may be a chair in the room. The mind can tell a story about how you got it, but that’s not happening now. Now, there’s just a chair. If you’re absolutely with what’s here now, there’s no meaning. There’s just being. Meaning only comes from the mind. It isn’t inherent in anything. The mind’s job is to keep you separate from what is by naming, classifying, and reasoning.

    Ascended Master Serapis Bey

Serapis Bey is from the realm of Bey, hence the name, wherein is His dwelling place. He is the great disciplinarian known through the centuries for the action of strict discipline. Real discipline is not stipulation over another which would thwart the innate progress, but instead it is a holding in check the human qualities so that the inner or Real Self can have expression. This is very essential to the attainment of the Ascension which is the culmination of all embodiments.

    Who was Serapis Bey

He came as a guardian to Earth's evolutions, and took physical embodiment as many did. It is said that He came from Venus. His inner service is in the Fourth Sphere and He works with the Christ Selves of the unascended life-streams there.

The Ascended Master* Serapis Bey is the Chohan of the Fourth Ray.

Comte Saint-Germain: A Man Beyond His Time

Many average, reasonable men can conceive wisdom only under the boring form of a sermon and think of the sage only in the semblance of a clergyman. For such men prudery, hypocrisy, and the most abject enslavement to ritual habit and prejudice must be the everyday virtues. When therefore it happens that a genuine sage, by way of amusing himself, mystifies his contemporaries, follows a woman, or lightheartedly raises his glass, he is condemned eternally by the army of short-sighted people whose judgment forms posterity.

Saint Germain & The Pillar of the Violet Flame

More than fifty thousand years ago, a golden civilization thrived in a fertile country with a semitropical climate where the Sahara Desert now is. It was filled with great peace, happiness and prosperity and ruled with supreme justice and wisdom by Saint Germain.

As the High Priest of the Violet Flame Temple on the mainland of Atlantis thirteen thousand years ago, [13=4=4th dimension=time] Saint Germain sustained by his invocations and his causal body a pillar of fire, a fountain of violet singing flame, which magnetized people from near and far to be set free from every binding condition of body, mind and soul. This they achieved by self-effort through the offering of invocations and the practice of Seventh Ray rituals to the sacred fire.
