Think about how much energy you spend worrying about what others will say or think. That energy is better spent on things that matter to you—your own goals, your relationships, your passions. Imagine the possibility of acting without second-guessing yourself, of making choices because they feel right to you, not because they’ll earn a pat on the back. Other people’s opinions are just that: opinions. They don’t define your worth or your path. The more you embrace your true self, the more you attract the right people and opportunities into your life, and the less you need anyone’s permission to be happy.
