2021 Pisces Full Moon

At Midnight Sept 18 Sister Moon, almost full, was high in the southern dark sky. She cast silver blue shadows on the land giving everything a mystical glow. At her fullness in Pisces she is asking us to breathe in her beauty and let it stir our Souls. She is asking us to walk in beauty, even when the world seems dark and hopeless, so we can shine our own special light on the path ahead and out into the world. 

Full Moon is a blossoming time when what we have been focused on since the previous New Moon comes into manifestation. But it is also a letting go of what no longer enhances our lives. The Virgo New Moon of Sept 06/07 asked us to go within and connect with our Sacred Center. It activated the Tarot Constellation of The Hermit, introspection and journeying within. This Pisces Full Moon is still guided by The Hermit. Pisces is healing, forgiveness (self and others) completion, and release. What are you ready to complete and release? This Full Moon is the perfect time to do that. The Moon at 28 degrees Pisces is travelling with the astrological Earth and they are guided by Neptune Rx at 21 degrees Pisces. Neptune is illusion, deception, or illumination. What is true, what is not true, what should never be true. Pisces gifts us with an inner knowing that answers the question of what is not true so we can let it go.

The Sun is at 28 degrees Virgo and is guided by Mercury at 23 degrees Libra. Mercury is our thoughts, perceptions, and how we communicate. In Libra he asks us to find inner balance which creates harmony between self and others. He will retrograde on Sept 26/27 at 25 degrees Libra but entered his retrograde shadow at 10 degree Libra at the Virgo New Moon. In my experience he has already created misunderstanding when it comes to communication with others. At this Pisces Full Moon he is challenging us to be clear about how to express our thoughts. He is in opposition (conflict or co-operation) with Eris Rx at 24 degrees Aries (discord and disruption) and they create a T Square with Pluto Rx at 24 degrees Capricorn (empowered transformation and release of the old). This theme is with us until early November when Mercury clears his retrograde shadow. Embrace the opportunity for transformation especially in relationship. Remember the most important relationship you have is the one to self. During this time frame Mercury will be trine (removal of obstacles and ease and flow) Jupiter in Aquarius (expansion of Cosmic Consciousness). I have said many times the Universe always gives us a new doorway to walk through when we close the old one. Jupiter and Mercury both move in direct motion on Oct 18.

Our Animal Totem guides for this Pisces Full Moon are Cougar, spiritual power, and Wolf, protector and teacher who walks with us through transformational change. For the Sun in Virgo we are guided by Brown Bear, introspection, healing, and The Healer. We all have gifts of healing to share. (They are reversed for the Southern Hemisphere) The Clan Mother for the Moon, Earth, and Neptune in Pisces is Weighs The Truth. She is the guardian of right action, Divine Law, Justice, and equality for all. She is the guardian of the Sacred Self and teaches us to accept the truth within. For the Sun in Virgo we are guided by Setting Sun Woman. She is the keeper of tomorrow’s dreams and goals. She teaches us the proper use of will, personal integrity, and how to live the truth. Here are the doorways out of the maze. Chiron Rx at 08 degrees Aries (healing the wounds that prevent us from being our authentic selves) is the spiritual guide for the Sun and Mercury in Virgo. He is opposite the Asteroid Astraea at 06 degrees Libra (inner balance creates outer harmony) and they are in a T Square with Pallas Athene Rx at 12 degrees Capricorn (embracing your own wise guidance). Chiron is trine (ease and flow) Vesta at 09 degrees Leo (being guided by your compassionate heart with loving kindness for all). At the release point for the T Square we find the Fixed Star Murzims at 07 degrees Cancer. It is the courage to speak our truth.

The second doorway is the planet Uranus (breakdown or breakthrough) Rx at 10 degrees Taurus (what is of true value and importance). Uranus is square (motivation for change) Vesta at 09 degrees Leo (ego driven or heart centered). But remember Vesta is trine Chiron in Aries (healing wounds from the past so we can be our authentic selves). Uranus is sextile (new opportunities) the Moon in Pisces (mystical connection) and trine (removal of obstacles) the Sun in Virgo (healing into wholeness). He forms a Grand Earth Trine (inner security) with Pallus Athene Rx at 12 degrees Capricorn (wisdom to know the truth and finding solutions to problems) and the Virgo Sun is also part of the Grand Trine (healing the spirit).  

What about Scorpio (healing, release, and transformation). Opposite (finding balance) Uranus in Taurus are two Fixed Stars at 12 degrees Scorpio (celestial longitude). The first is Acrux in the Constellation of Crux, the Southern Cross. It represents the challenges the material world creates and how to master them. The other is Alphecca in the Constellation of Corona Borealis. It symbolizes a crown of flowers with thorns. Alphecca represents the gifts we have to share but first we must heal and transform ourselves to give them. This Scorpio theme will be repeated Oct 13 when Mercury turns retrograde at 11 degrees Scorpio and joins these Stars. 

We have a change of season on Sept 22/23 with the Equinox, balance between day (solar force) and night (lunar force). In the Northern Hemisphere at Autumn Equinox we enter the West Direction of our Medicine Wheel. It is the place of adulthood and personal responsibility. It is also called the Looking Within Place where we find inner power. The guardians of the West are Grizzly Bear, strength, Black Horse, personal freedom, and The Thunderbeings, cosmic power. In the Southern Hemisphere at Spring Equinox you are entering the East Direction of your Medicine Wheel. It is the place of Awakening to Inspired New Beginnings. The guardian of the East is Eagle, who carries your prayers to Creator and Great Mystery.
