Full Moons are always about finding balance between opposite energies. This Libra Full Moon emphasizes that theme. The Moon in Libra is finding balance between the needs of partnership (others) and the needs of self (Sun in Aries).  The astrological symbol for Libra is the scales of justice.

In its highest expression Libra is the negotiator, mediator, and peacemaker. But it is also notorious for having a difficult time making decisions because it can see both sides of an issue. It will often passively force the “Other” into making that decision and then react negatively to the choice that has been made. Libra’s lesson is to find the inner balance that creates peace and harmony in all our relating both personally and for the world.

This Full Moon contains a planetary T square (feeling backed into a corner). The Moon at 26 degrees Libra (balance) is opposite the Sun at 26 degrees Aries (impulsiveness). They are in T Square with Pluto at 28 degrees Capricorn (personal and societal transformation). Pluto helps us heal and release the past that no longer serves us. It is called the Transformer. The empty space opposite Pluto is not empty. It contains the mid-point between the Sun in Aries (wounds of rejection and abandonment) and the Moon in Libra (inner conflict and disharmony). That is at 26 degrees Cancer (emotional wounds of family of origin). We had mentioned at the Aries New Moon of April 01 this Moon cycle was about healing ancient wounds. Pluto is supporting us to do that and experience Transformation and Rebirth. The Fixed Star Procyon in the Constellation Canis Minor is also at 26 degrees Cancer. It symbolizes things in transition. The Animal Totem guide for Cancer is Flicker Woodpecker who guides us through times of transition from the old to the new.

The traditional ruler of Libra is Venus (love and harmony). She is currently at 12 degrees Pisces (universal love) and sextile Mercury at 11 degrees Taurus (focus on self-love) and Uranus at 13 degrees Taurus (breaking though to what is of true value and importance). In Esoteric Astrology Mercury is the Soul Centered ruler of Aries (spiritual messenger) and Uranus is the Soul Centered ruler of Libra (breaking free from the past). Venus is exalted in Pisces and will soon merge with Jupiter and Neptune in Pisces (Expansion of Universal Love) April 27 to 30. Pluto is the Soul Centered ruler of Pisces (healing and transformation). He will turn retrograde on April 29 until Oct 08. In Capricorn he is asking us to look deeply within and transform any blocks to following our Soul Purpose Path. He is guided by Snow Goose, following your dreams and visions. The time ahead is going to be intense. We have a New Moon eclipse in Taurus on April 30 and a Full Moon Eclipse in Scorpio on May 15/16. Be ready to release, heal, and transform.
