EARTH MOTHER GODDESS: The dwarf planet Ceres, named for the ancient Roman goddess of agriculture, grains, fertility, and motherly love, is in the spotlight this week as it conjoins liberating Uranus and sextiles compassionate Neptune.

On a mundane level, manifestations of these aspects can be as simple as experimenting with new foods and cuisines in our individual lives, and as complex as the development of new nutritional sources and systems that allow better access to food supplies. On an interpersonal level, these aspects could correspond with an enhanced ability to nurture with open arms—being supportive while also accepting the independence and autonomy of loved ones.

On a personal/psychological level, Ceres represents our capacity for self-worth and self-esteem. As the dwarf planet conjoins Uranus in Gemini, we are inspired to speak our truth and more fully appreciate our authentic voice and point of view.

At the same time, the Ceres-Neptune sextile is augmenting our desire to be charitable and to be of selfless service to others. Together, this week's aspects to Ceres facilitate the efforts of those who advocate for human rights, who speak up for those whose voices are not being heard, and who promote adequate care and nourishment of children and others in need.

URANUS AND THE NODAL AXIS

This week, we are also working with the effects of the upcoming square between Uranus and the Moon's nodes, which is exact to the degree on June 12. The North and South Nodes of the Moon are pivotal, "karmic" points in space that reveal humanity's current course of evolutionary progress, as well as the qualities we collectively are needing to release.

As Uranus squares the nodal axis, we can experience a strong restlessness with current systems and a deep desire to break free from the past. Surprising events could occur that rewrite the story we've been telling ourselves. New insights and perspectives will challenge us to change our habitual behaviors.

The square between Uranus and South Node in Virgo provides incentives for us to free ourselves from old patterns of fault-finding and blame, nervousness and worry, criticalness and overanalyzing. And, with Uranus squaring the North Node in Pisces, we are reminded that instead we can choose compassion and forgiveness, trust and faith, nonjudgment and focusing on the larger picture.

Monday
Mercury enters Cancer: Mercury will be in the sign of the Crab for an extended time (June 1 to August 9) due to going retrograde at the end of this month. During this 10-week period, our thoughts are strongly affected by our emotions, and we communicate from a more instinctive and intuitive level. Our perspectives are more subjective than objective, which can be helpful in some situations and less advantageous in others. Some may feel very protective of their opinions and ideas, quickly becoming defensive when challenged.

Tuesday
Venus semisquare Uranus: A need for autonomy can cause minor upsets in relationships. Some may interpret another's need for space as a personal affront and try to cling more tightly.
Sun sextile Saturn: This aspect can assist us in applying discipline to projects that involve mental activity. It also supports us in communicating our ideas in a grounded, practical way.

Wednesday
Uranus conjunct Ceres: With this alignment, we are highly motivated to speak our truth, realizing that it is the most nurturing thing we can do for ourselves and also for others. Some may rebel from situations that are too confining, or from relationships and groups that limit their ability to think for themselves.
Mercury trine North Node and square Neptune: Conversations flow from a very intuitive place, and we easily pick up on what is written "between the lines." However, emotions can interfere with our ability to be objective.

Thursday
Mercury quincunx Pluto: Words can trigger defensive reactions and people may be less than tactful today. Decisions could be more impulsive than reasonable.
Sun semisquare Chiron: We may experience some insecurities about our ability to speak clearly or could feel that no matter what we say or how we say it, we will not be heard.

Friday

Neptune sextile Ceres: Empathy and compassion guide our conversations now. We are deeply aware of those who are in need of physical or spiritual support, and may be inspired to express our caring in words or through actions.
