This Week’s Cosmic Energy: November 24 to 30, 2025

A RECKONING: The harsh light of reality shatters illusions this week as Saturn comes to a standstill in idealistic Pisces.

A planet's influence is always heightened when it slows its pace and prepares to change direction—for Saturn, known in astrology as the Lord of Karma, this means we are in a Time of Reckoning. 

We can now see clearly whether the dreams we had faith in were truly visions with possibility or only a fantasy we chose to believe. We are observing the results of giving our authority away and placing our trust in something that had no substance. Falsehoods, weaknesses, and "vaporware" are revealed. Actions that are not in alignment with highest integrity and those taken without the support of a spiritual conscience are tested.

Saturn stations direct at 7:51 p.m. PST this Thursday, November 27, at 25°09' Pisces. The sense of completion and endings is very strong, especially with Pisces being the last sign of the zodiac. It is time to clear away the cobwebs that have clouded our vision and interfered with our capacity for discernment, so that we might enter the productive Saturn-in-Aries years with uncompromised wisdom. 

VENUS EFFECT: Partnerships, alliances, financial matters, core values, and the arts are in the spotlight this week. The planet Venus forms significant aspects almost every day, interacting with nearly every other planet in the solar system. 

Early in the week, old contracts are revisited and renegotiated as Venus conjoins retrograde Mercury in passionate Scorpio (Monday). Agreements are not likely to be reached right away; settlements may not be finalized until late January, when Mercury is moving forward and conjoins Venus again, when both planets are in progressive Aquarius.

Discomfort with power dynamics could fuel angry confrontations with Venus quincunx Chiron and Eris (Tuesday and Wednesday). At the same time, emotions run strong and deep as the goddess of Love and Beauty forms a water grand trine with Jupiter in emotive Cancer and Saturn in sensitive Pisces.

The most excitement, however, is reserved for next weekend, when Venus opposes unpredictable Uranus (Saturday) and then enters Sagittarius (Sunday). Sudden or unexpected changes could occur in any or all areas that are within Venus' domain, including relationships, values, and the economy.

ASPECTS THIS WEEK: Here are my brief interpretations of this week's most important aspects, day by day: 

Monday

Mars square nodal axis: While we may want to assert our "rightness" and point out where others are "wrong," this aspect reminds us that self-righteousness is one of the attitudes that stands in the way of humanity's highest evolutionary progress.

Mercury conjunct Venus: As retrograde Mercury aligns with Venus in Scorpio, communications with partners or loved ones may be especially intense or forthright. Questions require honest answers, and superficial responses do not satisfy.

Tuesday

Venus quincunx Chiron: Relationship or financial insecurities could arise today. Feelings of being ignored or dismissed come to the surface.  

Jupiter square Eris: Controversies and debates reach high decibel levels this week. Some may be especially defensive and protective, and act impulsively. This aspect has been in effect since late October, was exact on November 2, and will be strong through early December due to Jupiter being stationary.

Wednesday

Venus trine Jupiter, Venus trine Saturn: Emotions run deep as Venus in passionate Scorpio forms a water grand trine with Jupiter and Saturn. This configuration is helpful in that it facilitates the flow of creative energies and enhances compassion; however, reaping the benefits of the grand trine requires a level of emotional transparency that might be uncomfortable for some. 

Venus quincunx Eris: Trust issues are likely to arise in relationships, requiring an honest personal inventory as to deeper motivations and the need for control.

Thursday

Mars semisquare Pluto: Self-righteousness can become a weapon with this confrontational aspect. Power struggles are likely and some may resort to bullying.

Saturn stations direct: Saturn comes to a standstill tonight at 7:51 p.m. PST. The Ringed Planet has been retrograde since July 12, inviting us to complete unfinished business before building new structures. As Saturn moves forward and picks up speed over the coming days and weeks, there is greater support for making progress on our long-term goals. 

Friday

No major aspects are exact today. 

Saturday

Mercury stations direct: Mercury completes its retrograde phase at 9:38 a.m. PST today. Over the next few weeks, until Mercury exits its post-retrograde shadow period on December 16, we will be integrating and acting upon all that has been revealed—both internally and externally—over the past three weeks.

Sun sesquiquadrate Chiron: Insecurities can interfere with our taking a clear stand for what we believe in. This symptom calls us to do the important inner work of caring for the aspect of self that is fearful of speaking its truth.

Venus opposite Uranus: Relationships may be unstable or unsettled now. Breakdowns and separations are possible with this aspect, if one party has not been honest or is needing more autonomy.

Sunday

Venus trine Neptune: Compassion, empathy, and forgiveness flow easily today. We tend to see the best in others and could romanticize a relationship or a financial opportunity.

Venus enters Sagittarius: Venus will journey through the sign of the Archer from November 30 to December 25. During this month-long transit, we tend to prefer spontaneity, light-hearted interactions, and relationships that support our need for adventure. At the same time, we are drawn to people who have beliefs that are similar to ours, and who appreciate life's greater meanings. We tend to be generous, but might not be fiscally responsible or handle commitments well.

IF YOUR BIRTHDAY IS THIS WEEK: You will be experiencing some major internal and external shifts this year, changes designed to help you reclaim your authenticity and independence in some area of your life. This theme will be especially strong for those with birthdays from November 24-27. Your spiritual practices and creative pursuits are enhanced and supported this year, and your intuitive or other sentient abilities will be facilitated if you focus on developing them. Along the way, you could revisit issues of betrayal, deception, or abandonment from long ago that you are now ready to release and move beyond.
