aloe vera

Aloe Vera is a truly miraculous plant. Its healing properties and soothing effects are known since ancient times – the Egyptian called it “The plant of immortality”, while Indians referred to it as “The stick of Eden”.

Aloe Vera works great against burns and cuts, but did you know that you can use it in other ways besides applying it topically? The plant has over 200 biologically active compounds such as vitamins, minerals, amino acids, enzymes and polysaccharides. The plant possesses powerful antimicrobial and antifungal properties, boosts the immune system and flushes out toxins from the body.

Aloe Vera contains minerals such as calcium, magnesium, selenium, sodium, iron, potassium, copper and manganese, which are crucial for the health of your metabolic tract and are also great for losing weight. Aloe Vera also contains enzymes such as amylases and lipases which aid the process of sugar and fat decomposition, as well as bradykinin, an enzyme that soothes inflammation in the body.

Vitamin B12, a necessary element for the production of red blood cells, is found in great amount in the plant, which also contain vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B6, C, E and folic acid.

Aloe Vera consists of 20 of the 22 essential amino acids and salicylic acid which is why the plant is so powerful against inflammation and bacteria. It will also help you in cases of bad digestion, ulcers and heartburn. According to a study, Aloe Vera is extremely efficient against teeth plaque and mouth ulcers.

It can be used in gel or juice form – it’s best combined with other drinks due to the bitter taste. Aloe Vera juice can be found in almost any health store. The favorable effects and healing properties of the plant make it a great weapon against more than 50 diseases.
