For the week of January 3rd thru the 10th, be sure to read your Rising Sign as well:
Having Mars enter Sagittarius is like suddenly emerging from a dark room and realizing that there is a whole world out there just waiting to be explored. Having your ruling planet in a fellow fire sign is like a shot of adrenaline. It fills you with energy, motivation and confidence. Just pace yourself till we get over the Lunar Eclipse hump. You don’t want to be leaping into anything without first waiting and seeing where everything is going to land first. You also might want to wait for everyone else to catch up to you. Any way, you will want to make sure that you are fully informed and have all the information you will need, in order to plot your course. You’re all for off-roading, but in the current weather, you might want to allow the air to clear first, so you can see where you are heading.
Next week, Uranus will station in the sign of Taurus. All those creative ideas, new intentions, alternatives you’ve been considering, will soon be able to be put into application. In some ways it could even feel like the dawning of a brand new world. Even if you haven’t made any spectacular changes yet since Uranus first entered your sign in 2018, the internal changes that are gradually unfolding are nothing less than illuminating. It’s not really so much that you are changing, but that you are gradually becoming a more vivid and authentic version of yourself. In the mean time, now that Mars has shifted signs this week, a path to achieving your goals might reveal itself. Just realize that it will require some assistance and cooperation from others in order to do so.
Ideas and plans should be flowing this week. This will be helpful in trying to navigate the upcoming Lunar Eclipse at the end of next week. One advantage to being nimble and quick witted, is being able to adjust to changing circumstances as needed. And we could all use a little dexterity over the next few weeks. In the mean time, this week is a bit like the calm before the storm. We’re all going to be faced with some hard decisions, hard work, and daunting tasks later on. So in the mean time use this coming week for some much needed rest and self-care, where and however you can get it. This is a good week to wait and watch. You’ll be needing to conserve all that energy for later on when you’ll be needing it.
If anyone will be feeling the intricate fluctuations and gradual unfoldings of the current eclipse period, it’s Cancer. The Moon is the ruling orb of your sign, and the eclipses occur because of the almost perfect alignment of the Sun, Moon and the Earth. On top of this the eclipses have been occurring in the signs of Cancer and Capricorn last year and now, bringing that feeling of karmic inevitability home to roost. For Cancer it also helps to re-instill and allow you to appreciate those Cancer values that help to cultivate and nurture a sense of protection, community, belonging and family. For it is these very qualities that are actually the antidote for what ails us all right now.
In this space between the two eclipses we would all be wise to turn down the noise, and all the external commotion, and tune in. One advantage to eclipse seasons are the ability to be able to connect with your inner world: your subconscious yearnings, your soul’s cravings, and what stirs your heart and mind. The only way to do so is to create a little space in your life. Also pleasant Neptune sextiles, such as this week, can bring moments of inspiration. Neptune aims for us to fill our days with those things spiritual, creative, musical, beautiful, transcendent, compassionate and meaningful. Uranus is also slowing for its station on the 10th, which could add even a little more zest and sparkle to our lives. What with the upcoming Lunar Eclipse next week, combined with the Uranus Station and all, who knows what is going to be coming down the pike! All the more reason to turn down the noise, tune in and tune out. Take advantage of this peaceful interlude while you can!
Have you ever experienced the phenomenon before a storm, when you see the clouds approaching, but everything seems so peaceful and tranquil. The air is still and quiet, nothing is stirring. This is that metaphorical calm before the storm. Which is kind of what this week is looking like. So enjoy it while you may! 2019 may have been challenging at times, but your persistence and creative outlook is going to be paying off. Your determination to keep on going this past year, even in the face of obstacles and delays has taught you a lot, and although it may not be that obvious, the results are going to be worth more than you realize. Use the calm serenity of the week to be inspired: save your mental and physical energy for later when you will need it. Go see a movie, stop to daydream, connect with your dreams. Those moments of serenity can go a long way.
If you are feeling at all wired after the holidays, take some time out to chill out, preferably at home. Recoup your energy and recharge your batteries: watch a movie; catch up on that series you’ve been meaning to watch; take a long walk; find a great book to read; listen to your favorite music. Feeding your heart and soul this week will do you in good stead, and reserve your energy for when you will need it later. You’ve been working hard to repair your personal life, health and well-being this past year, and you are going to be reaping the results for all of your efforts. By mid-month you could find your responsibilities increasing. So take advantage of the time you have now to recoup while you can.
You may be feeling a little worn out these days. And it will just feel harder than usual to get your usual chores done, or get the motivation to accomplish your goals. If you can get the opportunity to rest, also use this down time to review your goals, and try to figure out more efficient ways of approaching them. You know what you want to accomplish, it’s just a matter of how to get there. Taking some time out to figure out a plan could prove to be fortuitous in the end. So don’t be concerned if it takes a little extra time. There is no rush. Things that are meant to last are not built in a day.
Now that Mars has entered your sign you’ll be coming out of the gate running. Just make sure you don’t trip over your own feet in the process. But even if you are nursing a few bruises, good news and good tidings help to buoy you through the week ahead. Mars now in your sign is the signal to move ahead with plans that you’ve been working on behind the scenes. Hence the confidence and good will to get you moving. Just make sure that you have all the resources you need first. You may have to wait until after the Lunar Eclipse on the 10th to know exactly where you stand. So pacing yourself will prove to be fortuitous for many reasons.
2019 was an important year for Capricorn. And this month may prove to be pivotal as well. It almost feels like the end of one phase of life, and the beginning of a new phase that is still in the process of being built. It may require a bit of effort, and maybe even a little strain. But what you are building is new and formidable and meant to last. And things that are meant to last and endure, are not built in a day. Pay attention to the details, but also do not lose sight of your over all vision. That is your ultimate goal. But this year it will be about working on the small goals, one by one, that will ultimately lead you where you want and need to go. Brick by brick, step by step, you are rebuilding your life.
2019 was quite the year for a number of people. Areas of our lives that we assumed would always stay the same, seemed to come apart at the seams. This could be a bit disorienting. Especially if you are not a fan of change. But as with all renovations, there is that demolition phase before-hand that just seems so messy. At some point though, you begin to accept that the past is the past with all of its circumambulations and quirks. It’s nothing to hide from, be ashamed of, or even long for. It merely is what it is. And that’s when the transition truly begins. You may already be in that state of limbo between then and there. But once you emerge out of that Bardo state, you’ll be like a babe reborn. Watch out 2020.
This week could feel a bit like the calm before the storm. Or at least the calm before the Lunar Eclipse on the 10th. In a way, it can also be seen as the preparation phase before the Eclipse, as we internally come to recognize where we have come from, and where we now want to go from here. By connecting with your own inner knowing, your intuition, soul, inner guides, higher self; you begin to see the sense of all things. And what was once a feeling is recognized as this bastion of wisdom and guidance. But in order to connect with that limitless well, you will need to make some time and space. Even if it’s only to drift and dream for a bit. Listen, watch, pay attention. Our intuition speaks in whispers, and you won’t want to drown out her voice with too much noise or activity.
ॐ Namasté - Blessings!
