Which means that Jupiter is making its first pass into the span of 29 Pisces- 9 Aries, where it will go retrograde in late July! Lots of threshold action ahead!

The shadow zone is defined by the span between where a planet goes retrograde, and where it goes direct after the retrograde period. In this case, Jupiter goes retrograde at 9 Aries on July 28. It will retrograde back to 29 Pisces, where it goes stationary direct on November 23.

That puts the shadow zone between 29 Pisces and 9 Aries, and Sunday, May 1, Jupiter entered 29 Pisces, the degree where it’ll go SD in November. So this year Jupiter’s shadow zone takes us through the individual, mental, and spiritual levels of “Perpetuation” of the last half of Pisces and into the material-actional and emotional and social levels of “Desire”of the first half of Aries.

During this run of Jupiter from 29 Pisces to 9 Aries, we have the very important Mars conjunct Jupiter at 4 Aries in a few weeks. This sets a new 2 year Jupiter cycle into motion wherever we have early Aries, so expect dramatic new developments after May 29. During the period in May, June, and July, it will receive numerous waxing septiles, sextiles, quintiles and squares by the Sun, Mercury, and Venus, make a semisquare and novile to both Saturn and Uranus, and a quintile to Pluto.

Jupiter direct helps us expand into future possibilities, adventures, and truths; Jupiter retrograde gives us a different understanding, or a different angle of approach. Jupiter RX can bring us echoes of old opportunities and truths in new forms, or the return of an “attitude of expansion” which throws off old limiting views. Welcome to the next 6 months!

Because it’s in the sector of the zodiac where we experience the larger connective, compassionate energy of Pisces as it evolves into the direct action of Aries, the rest of this year is good for blessing the passage of the old while learning what will be required in early 2023 in the way of new initiatives. If you were born the last half of March, June, September or December, figure out how you want to represent yourself to your world, learn how to keep the momentum in your own hands, and be willing to embrace an expanded life and effectiveness.

The Jupiterian promise or vision you receive over the next 3 months will be clarified after the Sun opposes Jupiter and then Jupiter’s SRX degree at the end of September. Learn to concentrate to “see the whole picture” between July and December, since the promise of this Summer will be actualized fairly quickly in 2023!

While Jupiter in Pisces rules itself, once it enters Aries it will be ruled by Mars. While Mars is in Aries through the beginning of July, the pace will be fast and hot. When Mars is in Taurus from early July through mid-August, the pace will slow down and steady to some degree, even though the squares to/from Leo and Aquarius will create friction to eliminate whatever is obsolete or unnecessary. Once Mars enters Gemini (where it will stay through late March 2023) be multi-level in your approach to the new emergent opportunities through late October.

Enjoy the entrance into the main phase of this year’s Jupiter lessons. This is an important time to manage our individual spiritual energies as prelude to the new “urge to BE” coming after Jupiter enters Aries.
