The week beginning October 7th has some rocky energy for relationships. On the one hand, that can help get things moving, while on the other it could present challenges. Those with important relationship planets and points in the early degrees of fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) would be most affected, as are those whose partnerships are in a more vulnerable place.
Venus moves into Scorpio on Tuesday. This represents a radical shift from a focus on the form that our relationships take to an emphasis on the core values and experiences. While in her home sign of Libra, Venus wants us to make nice and observe formalities. In Scorpio, it’s only depth and intensity that matter: you need to be honest at all costs.
A nice trine from the Moon in Pisces helps to ease the transition of the goddess of love into Pluto’s sign on Wednesday. Meanwhile, a trine between Pluto and partnership asteroid Juno (in Virgo) on Thursday also helps us to handle the high-intensity of this week. Both aspects show us that depth and radical honesty need not be terrifying and can ultimately support our relationships.
As we approach the weekend, an opposition of Venus to Uranus could signal sudden shifts in our partnerships. The full moon on Sunday is in the sign of Aries, and is closely square to Pluto - things always come to light at the full moon, but this time may bring up long-buried material. With the Venus/Uranus aspect exact of Saturday, we could feel we’ve reached a make-or-break point in partnerships.
It’s certainly true that a frazzled connection could come undone with the weekend’s celestial energy. Yet it’s also true that if you’ve been indecisive about whether to go further in your partnership, the cosmic weather could tip you in one direction or the other. With the signs of Scorpio and Taurus involved, it may be that sexual connection turns out to be the deciding factor, and relationship decisions might be made from the bedroom.
Even the most stable partnerships will probably benefit from a variation in routine as we approach and move through the weekend. If you’re used to staying in, get out for a night. Try a new place to eat. Go bowling on movie night - you get the idea. Feel free to grab a little alone time and do your thing - too much closeness may be irritating to some folks.
