Semisquares, Squares and Sesquisquares Oh My!

Astrology in October and November 2021

Because there’s a lot of grinding going on right now, let’s take a look at the cosmic weather!

Right now, we have a forming Sun square Saturn and Venus cutting the double semisquare. Add Venus square Neptune, factor in the Sun and Neptune, and we have four points of a Great Octile in play! These 8th harmonic aspects require “right action,” since they all represent “phase shifts” in their respective cycles, all of which are put into both internal and external crisis mode by these aspects.

This configuration has 3 semisquares all linked in sequence. Sun is semisquare Venus. Venus is semisquare Saturn. Saturn is semisquare Neptune. The Sun is square Saturn as Venus is square Neptune. The Sun is sesquisquare Neptune. There’s always an element of “cutting, grinding, and polishing” whenever these angles are in play. These four points in sequence set off resonance void points which will impact everyone with planets or angles around 3-8 Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius and 18-23 Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces.

The Sun square Saturn brings the 2021 Saturn in Aquarius lessons to fulfillment, with shifts toward a “harvest” between now and late January. They made a conjunction at 5 Aquarius in January 2021, and this brings that cycle to its natural culmination. The current square of the Sun and Saturn will be triggered again when Mercury and Mars both square Saturn in mid-November, promising some major fireworks in the world!

The waning Venus square Neptune from Sag to Pisces is an entirely different phase of fulfillment, with the Mutable voids indicating both the eruption of repressed contents, but also a need for cooperation in some sort of educative setup. This opens the Sagittarius squares coming over the next 11 weeks. So if you're wondering about the generic friction, this is it! This specific phase won’t last long, but it’s definitely happening as you read this and gives us a preparation for the squares of November, December, and January.

Anyway, just a heads up because this 8th harmonic Evolutionary Configuration portends major friction not that far down the road!
