The Solstice is  Saturday, December 21st at 9:19 PM Mountain Standard Time (MST). This is a perfect time to honor the past, honor the shadow, honor the darkness and what you cannot yet see, honor your lessons and accomplishments, and honor who you are and where you are going. It can be powerful to work with fire, and light, either physically or symbolically burning something of the past as a completion and welcoming in the light of a new cycle. Make sure you honor the solstice in some way. This is also the best time to think about goals intentions and resolutions for the coming times and anchor the ones that are clear to you through writing or expressing them in some way. Doing a ceremony of some kind is always helpful during this time especially in anticipation of the New Moon and Partial Solar Eclipse on Wednesday, December 25 at 10:13 PM Mountain Standard Time (MST). 

The New Moon and Eclipse serve as the portal to launching the energies of potential for this next year. Despite how busy with distractions you might find yourself on this day, It is important to honor this beginning by treating it as a time of opening up a new and interesting path of possibilities. What would you like to change in your life? What would you love to manifest? Where do you need help?

As you celebrate with family and loved ones, take a good inventory of what and who is in your life at this time and where you personally happen to be physically, emotionally and psychologically. What are you willing to change, to let go of, to put more energy into and to pursue in this next year? Who do you want to be with and where?
Having the Solstice, New Moon and Eclipse within days of each other gives all of us a window of opportunity (not to be wasted) to do some soul searching and intention setting as a preparation for what’s coming.
