Icons arise out of mankind's need to be entertained

Mentors arise out of mankind's need to be shown

Councillors  arise out of mankind's need to be directed

Knights arise out of mankind's need to be protected

Yet, when mankind's heart and soul cries out for more....

It is the Angels that respond to the clarion call,

And the wind blows in the changes that the soul has longed for...

"Buddhism has the characteristics of what would be expected in a cosmic religion for the future: it transcends a personal God, avoids dogmas and theology; it covers both the natural and spiritual, and it is based on a religious sense aspiring from the experience of all things, natural and spiritual, as a meaningful unity."

A widely cited, but apparently spurious quotation attributed to Albert Einstein.

"The great Celtic scholar Dr. Anne Ross once said, 'Everyone with European roots can consider themselves of Celtic origin.' People who are not directly descended from Irish, Welsh, or Scottish families tend to think they have no Celtic roots, but in reality so many different European tribes contributed to the creation of Celticism, and over thousands of years such a mixing of populations has occurred, that virtually anyone alive today with European ancestry can be said to have Celtic origins." - Philip Carr-Gomm, Chief of the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids.

  • Gnosticism
    sophia-energy

Gnosticism (from Ancient Greek) describes a collection of ancient religions whose adherents shunned the material world created by the demiurge and embraced the spiritual world. Gnostic ideas influenced many ancient religions that teach that gnosis (variously interpreted as knowledge, enlightenment, salvation, emancipation or 'oneness with God') may be reached by practicing philanthropy to the point of personal poverty, sexual abstinence (as far as possible for hearers, completely for initiates) and diligently searching for wisdom by helping others. However, practices varied among those who were Gnostic.

    Gnostic mythos

Almost all Gnostic systems of the Syrian or Egyptian type taught that the universe began with an original, unknowable God, referred to as the Parent or Bythos, or as the Monad by Monoimus. From this initial unitary beginning, the One spontaneously emanated further Aeons, being pairs of progressively 'lesser' beings in sequence. Together with the source from which they emanate they form the Pleroma, or fullness, of God, and thus should not be seen as distinct from the divine, but symbolic abstractions of the divine nature. The transition from the immaterial to the material, from the noumenal to the sensible, is brought about by a flaw, or a passion, or a sin, in one of the Aeons.

In most versions of the Gnostic mythos, it is Sophia who brings about this instability in the Pleroma, in turn bringing about the creation of materiality. According to some Gnostic texts, the crisis occurs as a result of Sophia trying to emanate without her syzygy or, in another tradition, because she tries to breach the barrier between herself and the unknowable Bythos. After cataclysmically falling from the Pleroma, Sophia's fear and anguish of losing her life (just as she lost the light of the One) causes confusion and longing to return to it. Because of these longings, matter (Greek: hylē, ὕλη) and soul (Greek: psychē, ψυχή) accidentally come into existence. The creation of the Demiurge (also known as Yaldabaoth, "Son of Chaos") is also a mistake made during this exile. The Demiurge proceeds to create the physical world in which we live, ignorant of Sophia, who nevertheless manages to infuse some spiritual spark or pneuma into his creation.

In the Pistis Sophia, Christ is sent from the Godhead in order to bring Sophia back into the fullness (Pleroma). Christ enables her to again see the light, bringing her knowledge of the spirit (Greek: pneuma, πνευμα). Christ is then sent to earth in the form of the man Jesus to give men the Gnosis needed to rescue themselves from the physical world and return to the spiritual world. In Gnosticism, the Gospel story of Jesus is itself allegorical: it is the Outer Mystery, used as an introduction to Gnosis, rather than being literally true in a historical context. For the Gnostics, the drama of the redemption of the Sophia through Christ or the Logos is the central drama of the universe. The Sophia resides in all of us as the Divine Spark.

    krishna

Hinduism is the predominant religion of the Indian subcontinent, and one of its indigenous religions. Hinduism includes Shaivism,Vaishnavism and Śrauta among numerous other traditions. Among other practices and philosophies, Hinduism includes a wide spectrum of laws and prescriptions of "daily morality" based on karma, dharma, and societal norms. Hinduism is a conglomeration of distinct intellectual or philosophical points of view, rather than a rigid common set of beliefs.

Hinduism is formed of diverse traditions and has no single founder. Among its direct roots is the historical Vedic religion of Iron Age India and, as such, Hinduism is often called the "oldest living religion" or the "oldest living major religion" in the world.

  • Mayan Road

    chichen_itza

Maya people once dominated the region that is now eastern and southern Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador, and western Honduras. Prior to the sixteenth century arrival of Europeans, they developed one of the most advanced Native American civilizations in the western hemisphere. Without metal tools, the Maya constructed massive stone pyramids and temples. They created stone sculptures and painted elaborate murals. They also recorded events in hieroglyphs, a form of pictorial writing. Their most complex achievements were in astronomy and mathematics. Maya used a numbering system and could complete abstract and complicated calculations. They developed a pair of interlocking calendars. One calendar was based on the position of the sun and contained 365 days. The other was a sacred 260-day almanac. Designation of any given day involved combining the name for the sun calendar day and the sacred almanac day.

The Maya culture's greatest period was from about year 300 to 900 AD. After that zenith, the Maya mysteriously declined in Guatemala's southern lowlands, but later their culture revived in the Yucatán Peninsula. There the Maya continued to dominate until the Spanish conquest. Today's Maya descendants still comprise a large segment of that region's population, living their lives as peasant farmers. They speak a mixture of Mayan and Spanish languages. One tribal group, the Lacandón people of Mexico, still makes pilgrimages to worship the ancient gods among the ruins of the pyramids and temples.

  • Shinto - Way of God

    shinto

The word Shinto came from China, which means the way of God (or kami).

Shinto is the native religion of Japan. It is a polytheistic religion, and involves the worship of kami, or spirits. Shinto's kami are collectively called yaoyorozu no kami, which literally means "eight million kami."

Shinto is an animistic belief system, and it is believed that some kami reside in objects like rocks, trees, or mountains. Ancient Japanese people intuitively found such places or objects which had emitted sacred energy, and worshiped them by building shrines.

In shinto, various kinds of prayer rituals are emphasized for healing the sick people or other purification purposes.

  • The Tao

    tao_character

Chinese symbols meaning in English can be complicated. For example, an explanation of the Chinese symbols meaning is given by renowned Psychologist, Carl Jung: "The character of Tao in its original form consists of a head, which probably must be interpreted as beginning, and then the character for going in its dual form in which it also means track, and underneath, the character for standing still, which is omitted in the later way of writing.

The meaning in English, then, is that of a track which, though fixed itself, leads from a beginning directly to the goal. The fundamental idea is that the Tao, though itself motionless, is the means of all movement and gives it law."

  • Wisdom of Kabbalah

    art to kabbalah

Kabbalah (pronounced kah-bah-LAH) (Hebrew: קַבָּלָה‎, Qabbalah lit. "receiving"; Qabala) is a discipline and school of thought concerned with the mystical aspect of Rabbinic Judaism. It is a set of esoteric teachings meant to explain the relationship between an eternal and mysterious Creator and the mortal and finite universe (His creation). While it is heavily used by some denominations, it is not a denomination in and of itself; it is a set of scriptures that exist outside the traditional Jewish Scriptures. Kabbalah seeks to define the nature of the universe and the human being, the nature and purpose of existence, and various other ontological questions. It also presents methods to aid understanding of these concepts and to thereby attain spiritual realization. Kabbalah originally developed entirely within the realm of Jewish thought and constantly uses classical Jewish sources to explain and demonstrate its esoteric teachings. These teachings are thus held by kabbalists to define the inner meaning of both the Tanakh (Hebrew Bible) and traditional rabbinic literature, as well as to explain the significance of Jewish religious observances.

  • Native American Path

    Pathfinder

Native American spirituality or indigenous spirituality is a set of spiritual beliefs practiced by many individuals, mostly indigenous peoples, from this continent. In North America this path is sometimes called the natural way and sometimes the red way and one who practices it is said to be “on the good, red road”. Although there is no one Native American way, because all the tribes’ religions are different in detail and practice, there are certain characteristics that run throughout most of the tribes’ precepts. Primarily there is a concern for the earth and all of its creation whether all the races, all the species and all of inanimate life. In other words, although they don’t worship the earth there is a concern for it and all its life forms: they honor the earth and all of creation equally. Man is considered only a small part of the larger cycles and in this sense they are like the oriental viewpoint. But distinct to the Native groups are the concept of responsibility for caretaking the rest of creation.

The Red Road has four Commandments:

    • Respect for the Great Spirit
    • Respect the Earth
    • Respect your Fellow Men and Women
    • Respect every man’s freedom (provided it does not interfere or threaten the tribe, the People or Mother Earth)

The medicine wheel is a model of how to connect with Spirit, as well as how to lead a fulfilling physical life. It takes thirteen moons to complete a one-year cycle, and this course will mirror that journey of once around the medicine wheel. A wheel has no beginning and no end, and so with the medicine wheel there is always another cycle to begin. In this way as our life moves from one phase to another, we are able to understand deeper levels of teachings around the wheel.

"The Medicine Wheel is a springboard of power that will allow you to link up to all the energies of the universe." -- Sun Bear

The Medicine Wheel is a beautiful and inspiring approach to graceful, holistic living in trying modern times. The Medicine Wheel's philosophy is derived from a basic principle known by all people who live close to the earth: Once you fully embrace the elemental forces of nature, you become a part of the whole. • Neopagan Path

    The Neopagan Path

Neo-Paganism (also spelled Neopaganism and also known as Paganism) is an increasingly popular religious movement emphasizing ancient pagan religious traditions and reverence for nature. It takes a variety of forms known as "paths," which range from Wicca, which focuses on spells and goddess worship, to Hellenic Polytheism, which seeks to revive Greek paganism in an academically accurate form. The articles in this section explain both the common characteristics and diverse forms of Neopaganism.

Neo-pagans are usually polytheistic or duotheistic. That is, they believe in two or many gods. Wiccans are duotheistic and worship the Goddess and the God, also known as the 'huntress' and the 'horned one.' The Druids, on the other hand, are polytheistic and worship aspects of nature such ‘the river’, ‘the sky’, and ‘the sun.’ Most are nature centered worshipping pre-Christian deities. Many of these pre-Christian religions have been changed and revived so that they have a greater relevance to contemporary lifestyles. Neo-pagans have introduced various new concepts to these ancient religions as well as changing and modifying pre existing traditions. New concepts include; dynamic and diverse personal beliefs, lack of institutionalization, a search for spiritual fulfillment and encouragement and acceptance of diversity.

The religion usually incorporates the practice of witchcraft. Developed in England in the first half of the 20th century. Wicca was later popularised in the 1950s and early 1960s by Gerald Gardner. Gardner was a retired British civil servant, and an amateur anthropologist and historian who had a broad familiarity with pagan religions, esoteric societies and occultism in general. At the time Gardner called it the "witch cult" and "witchcraft", and referred to its adherents as "the Wica". From the 1960s onward, the name of the religion was normalised to "Wicca".

Tools are used in witchcraft to aid and enhance ritual worship. While tools are not absolutely necessary to the practice of the craft, some tools are nice to have if only to focus our will and concentration. The basic tools to start with are the elemental tools or those tools which represent the four elements of life: The Pentacle for Earth, The Wand for Air, The Athame for Fire and The Chalice for Water.

Tools have no power in themselves, though they do have powerful symbolic significances. Some like the Wand and Athame (pronounced ath-ay-me) are used to invoke and direct whatever power we generate or pass through them.

A ritual is magick in action!

It's like crafting a magick spell with people as the main ingredients. And like any good magick spell, it lifts the ingredients up from being ordinary to being Divine. Once you realize this, the practice of ritual makes intuitive sense.

The Purpose of any ritual is then obvious: to create change within ourselves, and thus, in the world.

The Means is perceiving spiritual reality, becoming one with it, and then transforming it.

The Process is shifting consciousness, applying intense focus and energy to what we desire, and calling it to us through symbolic actions.

The Outcome is that we are lifted into the Good Reality, the world we want to be part of.

    • Druidry

Druidry was the native spiritual tradition of the peoples who inhabited the islands of Britain and Ireland, spreading through much of Europe. Though many consider it to have been a religion or political force that came to Britain with the influx of culture concurrent with the Iron Age, it is increasingly understood, and within the Network acknowledged, to be of an older indigenous if ever-evolving religious tradition sourced within these islands.

As an ancient pagan religion, Druidry is based on the reverential, sacred and honourable relationship between the people and the land. In its personal expression, modern Druidry is the spiritual interaction between an individual and the spirits of nature, including those of landscape and ancestry, together with the continuities of spiritual, literary and cultural heritage.

Druidic practice is also based on honour for the ancestors, considered sacred. In ancestral stories, in human nature and life’s patterns, in the long river of history, in poetry and music, the Druid finds the divine inspiration known as awen, the force that flows into his/her own sacred creativity of living, allowing depths of understanding and wisdom.

      Twin Flames and Soulmates

Twin flames, also called twin souls, are literally the other half of our soul. We each have only one twin, and generally after being split the two went their separate ways, incarnating over and over to gather human experience before coming back together. Ideally, this happens in both of their last lifetimes on the planet so they can ascend together. So you probably haven't had many lifetimes with your twin.

Each twin is a complete soul, not half a soul. It is their task to become more whole, balancing their female and male sides, and ideally become enlightened, before reuniting with their twin. This reunion is of two complete and whole beings. All other relationships through all our lives could be said to be "practice" for the twin, the ultimate relationship.

In the video below, LIORA is speaking about the most Frequently Asked Questions of Twin Flames.
