Hello everyone.  This is Raphael. We will now continue with our discussion on human love and relationships by talking about the relationships which you call “soulmates”.  This is been discussed at length on your Internet. But we would like to speak on the subject as well.

Most of you know that there are a variety of dimensions or levels of expanded consciousness. One of these higher dimensions is where your soul resides. As we have said many times, your soul manifests expressions of itself to learn. Questions arise within each soul not only from within itself but also from its interaction with other souls who are focused on similar themes. Some souls are actually attending classes with much more highly evolved beings. These classes can also stimulate questions to be explored by the soul.

Those who are attending the same “class” are very closely aligned in their exploration of a particular topic, and their level of evolution is very similar. These souls that are attending a particular course are what you would consider to be in a soul group. In addition, other souls who resonate with very similar learning interests and are at a similar level of evolution also often choose to be in soul groups.

Souls learn by expressing themselves into a dreamlike form of physical matter in order to learn. They explore questions about higher qualities such as compassion, love–both divine and mundane, and especially explore divine light as it manifests within matter. When souls have the same questions or are studying the same lessons, they often manifest at least one portion of themselves at the same time and in a similar location. They may decide to “bump into” each other at some point during their created lifetime or they may even be together throughout their lives.

In these cases, your souls have made an agreement or a decision to manifest together. They may have decided to help each other rise higher through loving support. Or they may have decided to help each other through conflict and opposition. One may have even manifested in order to act in the role of teacher for a period of time to assist one or more souls who are in their soul group.  In this case, they are learning about the phenomena of teaching and learning.

Just as each of you create friendships with others–some of which are very deep and lasting bonds, a similar relationship can happen between souls. Remember, the higher and more pure a consciousness is, the more it embodies love. And this love can manifest as a deep and abiding friendship.

These soul-friends sometimes will be enemies in their manifestations. At other times they may be parents or children of each other. And of course, sometimes in their manifestations, they may fall in love with each other and even marry.

So a soulmate is not simply your perfect beloved–someone who is a perfect match for you. They may be someone who you even feel an intense dislike for, perhaps for a long period of time. In this case, they manifested in order to help you learn about forgiveness, compassion, and experiencing a higher love under duress.

Sometimes, you will meet someone and speak for only a moment, but you feel a very deep connection with that person. You may never see them again. But you continue to remember that powerful connection which flashed forth only for an instant. When this happens, that person may very well be an expression of another soul from your soul group. But in this case, there was no need to build a relationship with each other at this time.  Of course, that person may also have been a very great being and some part of you recognized their light.

So this is a brief description of what soulmates are from a higher perspective. However, from an even higher perspective, all of it is manifested by you. Your soulmates are an expression of you, and the entire experience of this life is all your dream. You simply added some characters into the dream that had a much more powerful role than others.

So when you speak of a soulmate, remember that some of the most difficult people in your life right now may actually be very, very dear friends on a higher dimension. Treat everyone you meet with great love and respect. Ultimately, they are all divine beings which have been expressed from your own essence. When you have someone in your life who is extremely difficult, let yourself be immersed in gratitude for that being. They are one of the most profound teachers that you will experience in this lifetime.

And ultimately, thank the Beloved one who has given you the opportunity to express yourself into this dreamlike physical reality so that you can learn to love Source more and more and more.
