Danger Is Lurking All Over the Place

It is a dangerous business going out your front door. ~ J.R.R. Tolkien, British author of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit
Do you know anyone who’s what I call “a doom and gloom specialist?” You know—someone who sees danger lurking all over the place?
I think most of us do. It might even be that person you see in the mirror every day.
Spirit
The “trick” to life, the way to remember the joy you felt before you incarnated, is to look for the good, for the God, in all that is. Many years ago, we defined God (or Goddess) as all that is. Divinity exists in, and is the essence of, all that is. It’s that simple.
If you choose to accept that, then you will find joy everywhere. You will not see danger lurking all over the place. Why? Because it’s not there. It’s an illusion. An illusion you invented. The world you see “out there” is not real.
Your perception of the world out there is but a mirror. You project what you carry within onto the world you think you see. The world you call “objective.” There’s nothing objective about it. It’s all in you.
When you realize that, when you’re aware of it in every waking and dreaming moment, you will find the joy that is your birthright. The joy you have forgotten when you took on human form.
You’ve probably heard of Debbie Downer. (Spirit is referring to a fictional character from the television show, Saturday Night Live.) Debbie sees her entire world as filled with many terrible dangers lurking everywhere, ready to pounce on her.
That world feels quite real to Debbie. But it’s a choice she’s made. She can change her mind at any moment. Then she will experience the joy she has forgotten.
It’s all your choice, whether you are experiencing pain and struggle, or joy and peace, danger or safety. It’s that simple.

Here is a hilarious clip of Debbie from Saturday Night Live.

In the early 1980s, John took a spiritual development course and was introduced to his first spirit guide, Lydia. After Lydia arrived, three other guides also came to him: Archangel Michael, Tamarra, and Chief Joseph. Today these are John’s four main guides.
Besides his four main ones, John has various other guides. The entire group is really a multidimensional collective consciousness. John refers to the entire group simply as “Spirit.” Source
