Sometimes I get asked questions on the information-seeking site, Quora. For example, someone just asked me the following question about how memories are stored in between incarnations.

"What do science and Buddhism have to say of the memory of ghostly spirits? Is it electromagnetic when moving from birth to birth?"

My answer was:

The key to understanding the energy of afterlife memory is to realize that there is a second death in the reincarnatory cycle.

We die a physical death, here in this world of third-density physical matter made of electromagnetic energy. Our spirit bodies pass on into the afterlife's fourth-density spirit realms where all matter is made of etheric-magnetic energy. Then, when the spirit body runs out of energy, the second death occurs, leaving the person's soul body to move up into the soul realms where their next incarnation is planned.

The soul body is made of higher mental energy. The fifth-density soul realms are sometimes called the mental or causal realms. The soul holds all memories of past life experiences. Therefore mental energy is the medium wherein such memories are stored.

When physical reincarnation occurs, the soul enters a new body and begins learning to operate it via the newborn physical brain. One of the challenges of physical life on earth is the amnesia that is created by operating through a new physical brain, which is composed of basic electromagnetic energy.

The soul is present in the newborn body as both the superconscious mind and the subconscious mind. Your mind is much greater than your physical brain. Your mind is a field of mental energy which includes a soul-level superconscious aspect and the necessary subconscious body-managing aspect.

Your mind is infinitely expandable and holds infinite potential.
