“The patriarchal systems we’ve lived under for so long are dying now, Grandmothers,” I said, "and the Mother is at last returning to Earth. Our world is changing, and we are now reaching out to find a new life purpose for ourselves.

How do we navigate this change from the old to that which is coming?”

“We will speak of this,” the Grandmothers said. “First, you need to trust in your heart. And, in order to feel your heart, you must quiet down and open to its presence. The heart will then speak to you.

“To begin, take a seat in a quiet place where you can be alone. Sit straight, uncross your hands and feet, place your hands on your knees and in this open posture, wait. Then think of the center of your chest where both your physical and spiritual heart dwell. Bow to the heart and place your hands over it. 

“Give thanks to this heart of yours that has carried your life for these many years. Bow again to your heart and ask it to become your teacher, to take over your education at this time. The heart is wise and has waited a long time for this job, so pay attention to its response to your request. Listen and observe.

“Ask the heart to show you how much of its wisdom you have already imbibed. Your heart will communicate with you and give you a number (perhaps 10%, 20%, 40%) or it will show you a graph to illustrate this amount. Then ask the heart to begin to teach you right now so you can immediately absorb more of its wisdom. Let your heart know that you are ready to invest in your learning, willing and eager to learn.

“Ask to be shown if, somewhere within you, there is a blockage to listening and learning from the heart. This may be a place in your body, your emotions or mind. Observe this blockage and with love, ask the heart to show you how to help heal it. Watch then—watch and feel what happens. There may be a melting sensation, pain, or emotions may come up. Just observe while you let your heart do all of the work. You just watch.

“When the work is over, float for a moment in the new, freed up energy from this previously blocked space and experience how your heart pours love and blessing into this formerly obstructed place within you. You are beginning to learn from your heart. Now recheck the number that your heart gave you before. Has it grown?”
