A Baker’s Dozen, to the Twelfth Power (plus one)

A Baker’s Dozen, to the Twelfth Power (plus one)

A Baker’s Dozen, to the Twelfth Power (plus one)
an invocation

May our stream find
golden currents to swift
our course gently by;

May our time bend
its arcing, hark to
the speed of light;

May the fabric of
universes delight these threads
we spin, we spool;

May our hearts glad
with the chorus of
our heavens' heavenly yule;

May our all be freed
of moorings lifting bows
to four winds chance;

May our souls guide
our senses to feast
treasures of this dance;

May our peace find
succor among the fields
resting their wilding rise;

May our song sing
to the reaches of
mountains echoing their cries;

May our minds hold
snowflakes shimmering blue the
moonless bright of stars;

May our prayer be
made in passage of
what comes, goes afar;

May our lips touch
the chalice filled with
wonders of holy worlds;

May our eyes behold
the touch of magic,
their wands joyfully unfurled;

May our love know
the lightness a hummingbird's
feathers so effortlessly endow.

And may this
hallowed portal bring
our communion a
bit closer now.
