Apropos of Everything
If the diamond had no facets, the grasses none of their blades,
if the sea lost its droplets and the sands their untold grains,
if the forests lost their trees, the trees their limbs, their leaves,
if the night lost its starry oceans and the stars their magical beams,
if the spider lost her silk and the meadow its heavenly sight,
if the wood thrush lost its feathers and the feathers their colors, their flight,
if possibility lost its hope and hope lost its sacred will,
if the song lost its notes and its music went suddenly, deafeningly, still,
if the sky lost her blue and the sun his holy flame,
if the petals in the world dropped and the bees never came,
if you lost your way and I lost mine,
all that’s lost could be found again
in the twinkling of an eye.
If there is nothing more true than this world of me and you,
then we shall find each other, tend each other,
and make the world anew.

Eve Moore: Once a professional writer of advertising, I saw the light & it has shown me words of a different nature. And so I take them down & offer them up. And all is well.
“When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace.”
