The main theme for August is “Managing the Shi(f)t”.
The first part of the month requires great flexibility, acceptance, compassion, and resilience to deal with unexpected and sudden changes whether in yourself or in others. It may look grim at the beginning but we are moving forward into calmer waters that will provide more stability, inspiration, rational thought and clarity as we anchor ourselves into a brighter landscape.
Old emotional and habitual patterns are still bubbling to the surface for forgiveness and expulsion. We get to see where we have been wasting our energy on worry, regret and blame. Old habits of judgment, feeling powerless, victimized, and limited in what we can create have eroded our motivation and bred despair, anger, resistance and negative attitudes towards life. If you get stuck there, and are unwilling to let the past go and accept where the tide is moving, you will be miserable.
On the other hand, if you are willing to open to more trust in the positive and optimistic view of the big picture, you can completely turn anything negative and limited in your life around. The clearing of old trauma in any and many ways is a very useful practice this month. (There is a good exercise on the monthly support audio to help with the understanding and clearing of trauma or “susto”.)
This will require an open heart and the discipline of trust even though you may not have instant feedback from your prayers and intentions. There may be a lag time that tests you. You may not see or experience results that you are on the right track and you may need to go deep into your own intuition for confidence and confirmation. And, if you continue to come across obstacles and challenges along the way, look to what is not yet cleared in your field or where you are still holding on to something in your past, rather than how the universe may not be supporting you at this time.
Remember that in order to bring your vibration up and move to that next level, you need to make space. Creating space for the abundance available later in the month demands paying attention to your habitual reactions, habits and judgments so you can clear and change them to a better alignment. The most important thing is to stay out of blame, especially when you are accommodating a change that you did not initiate. Acceptance and neutrality go a long way to ease the discomfort of this experience.
We are definitely in a transition time and a huge shift in consciousness and vibration. Curiosity, optimism, creativity and humor should be a major part of the management team you build to navigate this month and the months to come. Take responsibility for your own shi(f)t, and stay in your own lane with regards to where others are in their own navigation. Once we get through the potentially cranky new moon on the 8th, we have our work cut out for us. If we do it well, there are many gifts awaiting us as we move into the last part of the month.
What is the “work”?
Courage to tell the truth. Courage to let go. Courage to forgive. Determination to trust. Discipline to stay out of blame. Compassion for yourself and others. Acceptance and cooperation regarding change not initiated by you. Keeping your vibration high no matter what through beauty, inspiration and strong spiritual practices. Staying in your own lane and out of other people’s drama and negativity. Trusting your intuition, your inner guidance, and having the courage to go for what is right for YOU. Taking full responsibility for your own shi(f)t.
How the month shows up:
A tremendous opportunity for transformation awaits you this month if you are willing to do the work. Facing personal fears, dropping negative attitudes, creating better habits, discovering new parts of yourself, activating your creativity, and permanently releasing something old that has been running the show. Your management team that includes curiosity, optimism, creativity and humor should be put together as soon as possible. Curiosity is a proactive way of moving into the energy instead of resisting it. “I wonder how this fits into the big picture? I wonder how I can learn and benefit from this opportunity”? Optimism will keep you in a higher vibration as it focuses on the expansive big picture view of what could be instead of the limiting narrow focus of what has been lost or what can no longer be. Creativity is also proactive and essential for problem solving, thinking outside the box and putting new eyes on old issues. Humor takes an issue that may cause you to withdraw and invites you to publicly laugh about it instead, de-energizing any negative charge in the process.
This is still a time where we are internal and the work is personal. The inner personal experience may still have aspects of last month’s two steps forward and one step back. Be patient, soften the critical self and give all of life the benefit of the doubt. Make sure to feed your soul with what nourishes you and give yourself time and space to “manage the shi(f)t”.
Relationships are your mirrors, and as your mirrors they reflect back to you your attitudes, wounded patterns and the subconscious behaviors they create. Your relationships are your most ruthless teachers and your most powerful healers. Vulnerability, intimacy, neutrality and forgiveness are all aspects of relationship that are important this month. Drop the need to be right, the need to be perfect, the need to hide your fears and your self-doubt, the need to control and the need to please everyone. These are all traits and behaviors that are not sustainable in the long run.
You cannot please everyone and you will always disappoint someone. When you are considering others without considering yourself, you are creating energy leaks you cannot afford. Choose to be around relationships that support you and encourage your vulnerability and progress rather than ones that project on to you because they are threatened by your process. It is definitely a time to stay in your own lane but you can invite others to join you that are on the same page and will honor your inner work.
If fallout happens, accept it and recognize that some people have more of a shi(f)t load they are dealing with and may need more space. Let them be where they are and focus on your own shi(f)t. Learning to appropriately strengthen or loosen boundaries is also part of the work this month. When others have judgments, it is almost always due to a projection of their own wounds and insecurities. Have compassion, don’t take anything personally, and take responsibility by not going into blame or judgment of others yourself.
HEALTH AND THE PHYSICAL BODY
This month is a perfect time to set up an improved attitude of self-acceptance and good disciplines for self-improvement. Release past judgements and accept change. Embrace wherever you are and whatever you are experiencing in the present moment. This is not the time to be stubborn about “doing it yourself”. Ask for help and get support for your physical body, your emotional state, or your anxious mind.
The first part of the month may require more attention to potential accidents and cranky energies. The body is processing the shi(f)t in its own way so you can expect various symptoms, anything from feeling too much energy to undiagnosed aches and pains especially in the joints, teeth and bones. Stay out of judgment and practice gratitude for your body as an ally no matter what condition you define it to be in. The body is a creature of habit and physical habitual patterns and most difficult to change. Appreciate even the smallest steps towards improvement.
The same goes for your emotional and mental well-being. Give yourself plenty of flexibility, forgiveness and neutrality especially when the thoughts or emotions come out in ways you would rather not express. It is a discipline to be in acceptance rather than in resistance and it is also a discipline to take responsibility for your own process and not try and throw it onto someone else.
This is a good month to work on shame, regret, self-esteem issues and rejection by telling the truth and embracing the opportunity for expelling and releasing. Make room, make space, be patient.
BUSINESS PARTNERSHIPS AND PROJECTS
Regardless of how restless and impatient you may be around the need for action and progress, watch any impulsiveness around big decisions for expansion or risk taking. Pull back and assess any situation with neutrality before making a change. Self-awareness is helpful in discerning whether something is ego driven or comes from authentic and intuitive emotional desire. Just because something looks good on paper does not mean it is right for you, unless it is.
Decisions are being made now more from the place of intuition rather than any mentally calculated formula for success. Just notice what is coming into your field easily and what is leaving naturally. Acknowledge that the people in your business life are also mirrors of reflection on how you are managing the shi(f)t. If you experience a crisis, know that it comes with opportunity. Move into it with curiosity rather than away from it with fear and doubt.
The environment continues to create change, inspire creativity and support innovative progress. The crisis-opportunity duo is alive and well as the environment always reflects the collective inner process of evolution. So, you can expect more of the dynamic and extreme environmental and weather phenomena to keep us on our toes. Unexpected and unpredictable are the words at least for the beginning of the month.
Since there is still a sharp focus on clearing and release, your personal environment should be on the list for a good declutter. At the same time, there could be unexpected gifts that come your way to fill the space. Be discerning about what you allow in so it is not the same old thing but something new and improved.
Your inner environment can also be cleared as well as refilled with a new energy. Clear limiting beliefs, negative thoughts, emotions, and past judgments. Accept an optimistic view of what is possible and adopt an attitude of progressive expansion.
DATES AND TIME FRAMES
August 1-7: This is the most unpredictable time of unexpected change and a need for flexibility. Stay positive and be accepting of change not initiated by you. There will be opportunity for forgiveness and release as well as contemplation and awareness of what needs to change within yourself.
This is not a time for impulsive or rebellious behavior. Rather it is a time to channel restlessness into creative problem solving and curiosity. You will need humor as part of your tool box when dealing with disappointment and possible irritation. Neutrality is being able to let go of your attachment to how you thought something should play out and accept it just the way it is.
August 8: New Moon in Leo is Sunday, August 8 at 7:50AM Mountain Daylight Time (MDT). This is a moon of the open heart with a need to be progressive, inclusive and self-aware. Be a bit prepared for chaos, accidents, and the unexpected. You can feel excited and inspired or get anxious and go into fear. Keep it humorous and think of evolution, improvement and new possibilities. It is a good moon for releasing attachment, letting go of stubbornness, keeping an open mind and working proactively with change. Consider how your management team of Curiosity, Optimism, Creativity and Humor can support you during this time.
Make sure you have plenty of personal time to reflect on your own shi(f)t and take responsibility for what is yours and set boundaries against what isn’t. If a direction you have been going towards suddenly changes due to a new insight or another’s choice, make the shift with grace and gratitude.

August 8-15: This is a good time frame for going inward to process, reset, and integrate. You may still be experiencing the two steps forward, one step back, but if so, it is for a reason. Don’t resist. Ask for the lesson or the insight instead. If at all possible, this would be a good time to take a break and build in some personal time that is fairly unstructured. There could be some fallout from the new moon chaos and unpredictable change. This would be a good time to assimilate it and reflect on the different choices you have.
The time may feel unsettled. The best way to navigate is to be willing to change plans and to revisit and refine your list and priorities as you go without being too attached to the outcome. The more flexible you can be, the more you will benefit from the unexpected good things that may start coming your way.
August 16-23: As we move into the second half of the month, the energy begins to settle and opportunities open up for a more expansive experience of what is possible. Be careful what you ask for as the universe is very responsive. If you are not receiving anything positive, ask yourself what you are projecting based on a negative belief or attitude. If you believe that you never receive anything good then that is what you will create.
Relationships come into focus during this time and there are some very positive connections and experiences that are possible during this time. Be available for an adventure and some excitement as well as the good fortune and luck that is in the field at this time.
Progress and improvement may be in your spiritual realm and there may be great breakthroughs and expansion in this area for you during this time. If your focus is the creative realm, you will definitely feel new opportunities and a good boost of energy in that direction.

August 24-31: Needs versus desires versus responsibilities may plague you during this time as you focus on balance and navigate necessary relationship shifts. This time may bring challenges to relationships and you may need to make choices for your own progress and balance. Make sure you are not coming from a place of blame or judgment. Watch projections from others as well as how you may be projecting your own discomfort onto someone else. This is a time of responsibility and the last few days of the month may bring all the personal feelings of injustice and limitation to the surface. Be aware of this and take care of your own business in a mature and responsible way. This does not mean you cannot ask for help. In fact, asking for help and support is often the responsible thing to do.
