New Moon in Scorpio, November 15, 2020 - Through Chasm Caves and Titan Woods

The darkness of this New Moon in Scorpio is the darkness of chasm caves, titan woods, secret dwelling places that simultaneously shelter us and engulf us. Luna shed her skin today, November 15, 2020, at 05:07 AM UTC, 23 degrees and 17 minutes into the sign of the scorpion.
Ruled by and in aversion to a slowly awakening Mars, blending the energy of asteroid Juno and fixed stars Agena and Unukalhai in her womb-like cauldron, this New Moon is a crossroads between powerlessness and power. Between chaos and order. Between descent and rising. And in spite of the Moon being in her Depression in the sign of Scorpio, the uneasiness that we might feel in realizing that it’s time to push the inner limits of what feels comfortable — yet holds us captive — can be a sign that we’re on the right path. The path of self-sovereignty.
Like deep sea fish adapting to hydrostatic pressure and complete darkness at the bottom of the ocean — our strategy might not be ready to emerge before the eyes of the world, just yet, but it’s slowly coagulating into shape. This darkness, this hiding place, is a container — Scorpio as a Mars-ruled, Fixed Water sign is intrinsically preoccupied with tactically shielding and sheltering that which is growing or recovering from combat fatigue. The Unseen is holy, the unseen is healing: struck by a merciful trine ray from pious Neptune, this is, too, a New Moon that nurses our wounds and our Spirit back to health through trust in a higher power and a greater design.
The conjunction to asteroid Juno, however, demands unwavering, long-term commitment and sustained energy investment into a relationship with the power we’re choosing to embrace. Nothing that cannot be done through us can be done for us. Reciprocity and accountability are sacred and more magickal than any affirmation.
The New Moon in Scorpio is also in conversation with Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn via sextile. Whatever has been unearthed in the area of our chart that contains Capricorn — whatever has been completely transformed, whatever dormant power has been released, even the barrenness, that which could have broken us, but ultimately didn’t — can be integrated within this emerging process in ways that are empowering and productive.
The sore parts of our battered hearts hold the key.
Structure and promptitude can, and will, bring light to dark places.
